Care of Baby Chickens

 Turn eggs each day.


 Let peeps hatch themselves. They will be connected to their shell by an
umbilical cord. It will fall off.
 They will not need food for 24 to 48 hours.
 Day one, give them a small lid of water, Dip their beaks in water to let
them know where their water is.
 Day two, introduce chick crumble. Dip beaks in the food lid so that they
know where their food is.
 Baby chickens need a heat lamp.
 I cover the chicks at night with a blanket or towel.
 I check peeps often.
 Consider their safety.
