Land lovers
Do you love flora and fauna? Here are some great jobs.
A From dusk till dawn
George, 56, earns his living by raising animals
and growing plants.

I work from dusk till dawn and my job is very


5 hard. What do I do? Well, every day I take care of
the animals on the farm and the crops in the field.
First I check the barn where I keep the cows and
sheep to milk and feed them. Then, I go to see the
horses in the stable and I give them food. After
10 that it is the pigs’ turn. I bathe them and clean
the manure. I breed pigs for meat and I sell it at
the farmers market. We grow corn, wheat and soy
beans. My farm hands work in the fields, because I
can’t manage all the work alone. They plough the
15 land in autumn and harvest crops in August. It is a
demanding job and it can’t make you a millionaire
but it is rewarding.
