It is understandable that education has been long here before the rise of technology. This

means that education can still take place even without the contribution of technology. More so,

there is a high cost incurred to incorporate the role of technology in education. I understand the

current economic situation and the burning desire to cut costs. However, the role or contribution

of technology cannot be overlooked. After all, one of the primary goals of education is to

improve education. Changes are inevitable in life because they will always occur. The aspect of

education in education is a universal change that can never roll back. It is time to understand the

impact of technology in education and appreciate it.

The primary goal of doing away with technology in education is to cut costs. On the

contrary, the endorsement of technology in learning institutions reduces costs in schools. It is

important to understand that the investment is high. But the long-term benefits of having

technology in schools make it cheaper than continuing with the traditional education system.

Technology cuts the costs by having fewer teachers. More so, it enhances the learning

experience, lowering the cost of learning resources because most books can be accessed and

shared from the internet (it simplifies the access to learning materials) (Jefferson, 2016). Every

student has the dream to excel in their future careers. Technology comes with skills for

innovation. This means that technology endorses self-employment from an early age because it

sharpens students' innovation through entrepreneurship. It is also essential to understand that

education is no longer needed in education. Instead, it is part of education (Jefferson, 2016).

Therefore, scrapping off technology in education compromises not only the quality of education

but also the future. How do you expect graduates with no understanding of technology to work in

industries with the technology as its core?

Technology is the rapidly growing sector in every country across the world. Many countries,

mainly developed countries, have gone an extra mile to improve their education sectors also. In

our case, we have two documents that explain technology levels in Nevada, which are ISTE

NETS and Nevada technology ad computer standards. ISTE NETS-standards for the

international society for technology in education that was revised by the Nevada computer and

technology standards for Nevada. It takes the Nevada computer and technology roles, hence

improving the network coverage and sharing across the country. At the same time, the Nevada

technology and computer standards are the national organs that ensure that Nevada students are

prepared and exposed to digital life. These two standards technology organs have similarities and

differences in their goals to improve the levels of the technology (Trappey. et al. 2016).

Both Nevada computer and technology standards and ISTE NETS have a more significant

impact on the technology levels at the national and international levels. Despite their roles, they

have similarities which include;

1) Improving the creativity, critical and thinking of the learners of the state. This helps

students to conduct research, manage projects, plan projects and solve problems.

2) Both documents improve collaboration among the students. Students who are away from

each other share and assist the other in the learning process.

3) Both promote innovation to the learners. Through technology, students use a deliberate

design process for generating ideas, creating innovative artifacts, and testing theories.

Lastly, both Nevada technology and computer and ISTE NETS standards differ from ISTE

NETS majors' roles with the international technology levels. In contrast, Nevada standards
concentrate on the state technology levels. Nevada improves national communication where

students at the national level can interact and share their cultural understanding. At the same

time, ISTE NETS promotes global communication where students from all parts of the world can

use technology to build knowledge and explore.
