Activity Description: Can O’ Your Town Reflection

This project took me Seven hours to make. In the beginning I was enjoying it and having fun. I

started to do the project at around seven PM on Saturday. I finished the whole project around two

AM, Sunday morning. I read and followed the directions carefully. For some reason, getting the

dimension of the label did not happen as what the instruction says. I wrote down the steps I did

and here they are.

 Program Paint, Drawing, and the Web environments

 Open up a drawing program Powerpoint

 File

 Page Setup ---- Design ----Slide Size ---- Custom Slide Size

 I changed the width to 8 inches and height to 4 inches.

 When I was prompted between Maxime or Ensure to Fit, I clicked on Ensure to Fit.

 Insert Shapes ---- Rectangle

 Shape Outline weight is 1 pt.

 I wanted to make sure that the size of my rectangle border is in the exact dimension of the

Campbell Soup label. I printed my first border and it was smaller than the original label.

So, I readjusted the border dimension to a few inches by dragging the lines using my

mouse. I printed the new dimension. I did this 6 times until I was able to make the exact

dimension.

 Then I went to Insert. Clicked on Pictures ---- Insert Picture From---- Online Pictures.

 I chose a background image of Nevada Desert.

 I went to Insert again ---- Insert Picture From ---- Online and chose an image of Las

Vegas.

 Clicked the tab Insert ----Insert---Shapes and clicked on a rectangle shape, plain white

and inserted a text box to write Ingredients. This did not work for me.

 I clicked on Home. Clicked on the Line Tool and Clicked a straight line. I started to

construct the rectangular shape for the ingredients. I used Weight ¾ pt to emphasize the

ingredient box. This took me almost an hour to do until I gave up and went on back to

create a rectangular box from Shapes.

 I clicked on the Text Box made 10 Text Box for later use on a separate slide.

 I then clicked on straight line to use as my divider for the ingredient box. This process did
not help me create the type of ingredient box I want.

To make the story short I followed the direction to create the bar code. I created it from a

different slide and my intention was to copy and paste them. It was a very challenging task to get

the barcode onto the label. The most difficult part I encountered was as I was working on the

label copying and pasting additional items to put, the dimension was shrinking. I printed my

finished label, and it was too small to fit the can. I wanted to cry. Seven hours of work for

nothing. I had to quickly find a YouTube channel that teaches printing a label. I tried to follow

the direction and was able to create the dimension I need. I had to quickly do the steps I wrote all

over again. I was able to create my label except that the edges of my dimension where slightly

curb because I cannot do it from the instruction I followed.
