Identifying Active Voice Worksheet

Active voice is when the subject performs the action expressed in the verb. (Ex. The man is mailing
the letter.)
Passive voice is when the subject is no longer active, but is, instead, being acted upon by the verb.
(Ex. Hamburgers are being eaten.)

Directions: Read each sentence and circle the subject and verb that makes each sentence active
voice.
