1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

a) The Project Bharat Oxygen Traders is having its Head office at 250
Lakhibagh, Dehra Dun. The project promoter Shri. Anil Kumar Singhal has
decided to start a new project for oxygen, medical oxygen and nitrogen after
seeking the market demand of these products.

2. PROJECT /BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The promoters of project “Bharat Oxygen Traders” are in the trade of

oxygen, medical oxygen and nitrogen supplier for last many years having
their head office at 250 Lakhibagh, Dehra Dun. The promoter has taken
initiative to start a unit by the name “Bharat Oxygen Traders” in Industrial
area of Selaqui, Dehra Dun.

A. Identification of the project and project proponent.

Category of Project: B2 (DVN Notification 1989 Sr. No. 12 in Orange
category list). The project proponent M/s Bharat Oxygen Traders is a Private
owned company. It attracts the conditions of Doon Valley Notification 1989,
04.07.2005 and 13.12.2007.

B. Brief Description of Nature of Project.

The promoter of Bharat Oxygen Traders is in the trade of supplying oxygen,
medical oxygen and nitrogen cylinders for many years. The firm has been
supplying oxygen, medical oxygen and nitrogen cylinders to hospitals and
other industrial sector of Dehra Dun and around. As the demand raised
promoter has decided to start a new unit in an Industrial Area of Selaqui for
which they have purchased a part of land in 2013 and other mandatory
permissions from various authorities/departments have already been
obtained.

C. Need for the Project & Importance to the Country

Dehra Dun is a capital of Uttarakhand and lots of development has took place
in the recent years, mainly central govt. offices and departments are located
in Dehra Dun, as such the people from the surrounding areas have been
migrating into this city, even people from metropolitan cities are also migrating
because of its climatic conditions. Due to this, renowned Hospitals of India
like Synergy, Fortis, Max etc. in keeping view the increasing populations have
opened their branches. Already there are many private and govt. hospitals in
Dehra Dun. There has always been use of oxygen in hospitals for various

 purposes and now there is ever-increasing demand for it. Hence this project
will serve to fill this supply-demand gap and for hospitals it will be available
easily. Apart from this promoter has proposed to produce nitrogen gas which
is also used in hospital as medical gas, in fertilizers, chemicals, dyes etc.

D. Demand and supply gap

At present due to ever-increasing population, there is also an increase in
issue related to health problems of people, for which there are various
hospitals in Dehra Dun and adjoining area and the requirement of oxygen is
the continuous process and this could be met out only when there is regular
supply. Hence, keeping in view Promoter has initiated the project to meet the
demand.

E. Domestic/Export Markets
No there is no scope of export for this product.

F. Employment Generation (Direct & Indirect) due to the project

As it is small unit only 6 people will get direct generation of employment from
it.

3. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

There is no interlinked and/or interdependent project linked with it. No other
allied activities and/ or services is being carried out with this project.

B. Land allocation within plant

The total land area for project is 1249.21m2 in which (33%) of the net land
area is being used for green belt.

C. Location (map showing general location, specific location, and project

boundary & project site layout) with coordinates.
The site for “Bharat Oxygen Traders” is situated at Khasra no. 122 MI,
Central Hope Town Dehra Dun.

D. Details of alternate sites considered and the basis of selecting the

proposed site, particularly the environmental consideration gone into
should be highlighted.

 MANUFACTURING PROCESS

The unit has proposed to adopt the process of compression of Liquid Oxygen,
Medical Oxygen and Liquid Nitrogen in to gas form and refill the same in gas
cylinders. The raw material will be liquid oxygen, liquid medical oxygen and Liquid
Nitrogen respectively, which will be procured from Linde India Ltd having
manufacturing plant in Selaqui, Uttarakhand. The unit will setup storage tank to store
liquid and thereafter the liquid passing through the atmospheric vaporizers which
changes liquid into gas form. After the liquid changes to gas form, the gas will be
compressed through pump into cylinders.

5. REHABILITATION AND RESETTLEMENT (R & R) PLAN
R & R Plan is not required in this Project.

6. ANALYSIS OF PROPOSAL (FINAL RECOMMENDATIONS)

The project is being initiated in order to meet the requirement of hospital
demand of oxygen, medical oxygen and nitrogen in other areas also. Dehra
Dun is expanding in terms of its social and economical structure and various
MNC’s and renowned Hospitals has opened their branches and still more
them are emerging, due to which there is always remain a demand of oxygen
in these hospitals. The project has no such activity which is of hazardous
nature or which has adverse impact on surrounding. As such, after
observation it has been concluded that the above project is feasible in all
respect.
