Responsibilities and Duties

Should have knowledge of all kinds of rotating equipment viz. : bearing selection, belt drives,
chain drives, pulleys, gearboxes, mechanical seals, agitators etc. , different kinds of steels ,
torque transmission , vibrations, pump designs,impeller designs, casting , various types of
machining etc.c

Designs : Shaft designs, keyways, belt transmissions ,

Pump designers can also apply.

SHOULD BE ABLE TO DESIGN BOTH ROTARY AND STATIC EQUIPMENTS

Resourceful in various construction related Piping & Static equipment material design w.r.t.
ASME SEC II, ASTM, ASME B16.5, ASME B16.9, ASME B16.11, ASME B 16.47, ASME B16.20,
ASME B 16.21, ASME 36.10, ASME standards

CAN DESIGN GEARBOXES, agitators, high speed mixers etc.

Merit of designing static equipment & performed calculations of:

 Allowable Stress Value, Design Pressure as per medium, Volumetric, Shell Thickness
under Internal / External Pressure, Dished End Thickness under Internal / External
Pressure, Stiffening Ring of Cylindrical Shell under External Pressure, UN Stayed Flat
Heads & Covers,

1. Brief understanding of client requirements through there enquires and coordination.

Preparation of technical offer as per client and system requirement.
2. Working on the basic and detail engineering for the food, chemical & oil and gas production
and heating equipment.
3. Development of Basic P&ID and PFD as per process requirement and basic engineering
calculation such line sizing calculation. Pressure drop calculation, pump hydraulics calculation,
basic chemical calculation, instrument selection and sizing such as control valve, safety relief
valve and orifice plate.
4. Prepare control philosophy as per systems requirement.
5. Preparation of technical Data Sheets for the equipment's and instruments as per client &
Process requirements.
6. Preparation of techno commercial feasible Proposal as per our strength and client
requirements.
7. Provide the assistance for commissioning.
8. Understanding of the PLC based system & control panel.
