In the context of counter-terrorism, distinguish the following:  Intelligence, Investigation,

and Analysis.

Investigation based on the counter terrorism is the tool to investigate in the context of criminal
investigation in order for detecting and investigating serious serious crimes or activity without
alarming the target (UNDOC 2005). While the Intelligence is gathering information to the
society for example for the allege terrorist they are sending Intel or secret service to the
community in order to gather information and activity of the person this tool will help to the
government to secure or protect the national security however, the criteria in this tool is not
based of the evidence this is more on profile of the target person (OSCE 2013). On the other
hand when we say analyses it is the in-depth assessment of the data gather by the Intel Officer to
assess in order to form counter terrorist plan. (Ares 2009)

2. In what stage of the timeline in the "Left of Bang" concept Intelligence should be used?
Explain.

The term left bang is the means attack timeline and the bang is the attack, Left bang is the
activity of the terrorist to destroy the society the government counter terrorism is the proactive
activity to protect the society on the other hand the reactive counter measure of the government
is when the terrorist attack the society, therefore if the counter intelligence of the government is
strong then the government will predict the possible activity or target of the terrorist activity in
our society.

3. What issues or concerns do you find with our Intelligence Units? How should these
issues or concerns be addressed, if any.

The challenges in the Intelligence society is first the increasing demand of intel in order to gather
data and secure the society, second is the terrorist activity is not only happen in the society but
also in online world because of the modern technology. Third the global war on terrorist activity
happened was entered in the new faces, modern technology in our country is not like sophisticate
as other country the intelligence in our country is poor in coordination and they are few, the
coordination in the community will support the law enforcers to solve this issue because the
recruitments and other activity is happened in the community or in a rural areas.
