Sadranan beach is one of the natural tourism objects which is frequently visited by those who want to spend
their leisure time and get rid of the routine. It is located in Tepus, Gunungkidul. Sadranan beach is fairly popular
although the location of the beach is quite hidden, flanked by Krakal beach, Slili beach, and Ngandong beach
which are wellknown by the visitors
Sadranan beach is a favourite place for local and foreign tourists. They can enjoy the beautiful white sand of
Sadranan beach, the clear seawater with the underwater life and colourful ridge of sea rock where various fish
live, walk along the seashore and enjoy the wonderful sunset, and also enjoy a favourite water sport called
snorkeling.
Having all of these wonderful activities will of course relieve the stress and burden. Then, by giving our
gratitude and taking a deep breath, we will be reminded of His almighty hands.

Artificial sweeteners actually trick your metabolism into thinking sugar is on its way. This
causes your body to pump our insulin, the fat storage hormone, which lays down more
belly fat, leaving you hungrier and craving even more sugar and starchy carbs like bread
and pasta.
In a study of heart disease, people who consume diet drinks every day had a greater risk
of diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Artificial sweeteners have proven to be carcinogenic
in animal studies. They wreak havoc on your good microbes, destroying beneficial
bacterial and causing glucose intolerance.
Something that tastes sweet but contains zero calories may sound like the perfect cure for
sugar addiction. But it’s not, and here’s why. Normally, when you eat or drink something
sweet, it’s accompanied by lots of calories. But not when you consume artificial

sweeteners. This confuses your brain. It senses that the taste of sugar without the
accompanying calories from glucose and fructose is wrong, and it tries to correct the
imbalance by making you hungrier.
Not only that, but also confuses and slows your metabolism down, so you burn less
calories every day.
Bottom line: there is no free ride. Diet drinks are not good substitutes for sugar-sweetened
drinks. They still (or even more) increase cravings, weigh gain, and type 2 diabetes. And
they are addictive.
14. Based on the text, what will happen if someone consumes more artificial sweetener?
A. He will be healthier.
B. It will harm his health.
C. He will keep healthy.
D. He will be away from dieases.
E. He will be addicted.
A wrong boy
Every time I remember this, I always laugh. It was such an embarrassing moment. My friends were
laughing all day because of this incident. On the same day I got the nickname as Mr clumsy.
At that time I was 8 years old. My friends and I were playing on the playground. We played a game
of hide and seek. We played happily. Until, it was my turn to look for them. I was looking for them
one by one and managed to find them. However one of my friends named Hadi was very good in
hiding. I could not find him. Then I kept looking for him. I remembered that he was wearing a red
shirt and blue pants. As I passed the elephant statue in the park, I saw a kid wearing a red shirt and
blue pants. I immediately approached him. After getting close, I grabbed him to my friends. I wanted
to tell them that I had found him. Suddenly I became silent, when I saw Hadi came to us. He greeted
me “Hey why didn’t you find me?” I was confused. Then I saw my friends laughing. Then I looked at
the one whom I dragged. I was surprised that he was not Hadi but a different boy wearing the same
clothes.
He looked at me then. All of my friends laughed at me. I was embarrassed. I wanted to leve the
place soon. Finally I apologized the boy. Since then I was always called as Mr. Clumsy by my friends.
