However, this rule does not apply for a back pass. Now a pass is classified as a
جديد
back pass if all the body parts of the player with which he can legally score a goal
are either behind the ball or in line with the ball (his arms may be ahead of the
ball as he cannot legally score a goal with his arm).
In case of Ronaldo’s 3rd goal against Bayern, part of his right leg is clearly ahead of
the ball when Marcelo passes him the ball. Therefore, according to the rules of the
game, Ronaldo can be deemed offside for the goal.

Why did Cristiano Ronaldo appeal for offside for Morata's goal?
When Marcello dribbled through the defenders, Ronaldo was aware of possible hat
trick but he was already in an off-side position. So he had to wait and he adjusted
his run with Marcello’s.
Now he is marginally off. But not visible in real time. Marcello make a good pass
and Ronaldo scores a hat trick.
Offside is checked only when the pass is made. So at the time when Marcello
looked for CR7, he was almost level with him.

On the moment that Marcelo passed the ball to Ronaldo, his body was closer to the
goal line than the ball was.
Considering that the second-to-last defender was more than one meter behind
him, he was clearly offside.

It was off because he was ahead of the defenders. He has terrible positioning. Last
year two of his goals in ONE game were offside. This year he had a goal but it was
clearly offside as well. Sorry real fans. But he was entirely useless that game. The
era of BBC is over. The most over rated attackers in the world.

A Big NO.
In fact this whole “Cristiano Ronaldo is a much more decisive player than Messi in
the Champions League” is a nonsense fabricated myth. The reality is that Ronaldo
is at his best, as decisive as Messi and I will try to prove that to you.
Disclaimer: with this answer I am not trying to say that Ronaldo is a flopper, is not
that, I am only trying to show the truth and how come success do not tell the whole
story.
Ok, first things first, what can configure as a decisive performance for a player?

Originally Answered: Why did Cristiano Ronaldo appealed for offside for Morata's goal?
I watched the game live and it looked quite obvious that he did appeal for offside.
No Athletic Bilbao player appealed for offside before Cristiano Ronaldo stuck his
arm in the air and looked to the linesman, awaiting confirmation of the goal. The
logic that Ronaldo raised his arm pointing the goal was legal and not offside
sounds funny!

For third one,Marcelo's effort should be applauded as he went past three guys and
hustled with Lahm to provide Cristiano a tap in.Since,Marcelo had no defender to
take on and Cristiano was not behind Neuer, it was fine.Third one was also not an
offside.
For the second goal, it was a clear offside which assistant failed to notice, perhaps
Carvajal's position did dodge the referee's eye and Cristiano got the benefit.
