BSED ENGLISH 2A CLOSURE ACTIVITY

“The pain of the little finger is felt by the whole body”

Our body is composed of different parts and organs. All of these parts work in
coordination with each other. There are times that we will get hurt and the degree of that pain
varies. However, even if it’s just a small ache, it still has an impact on the way we move or feel.
The Filipino Proverb “The pain of the little finger is felt by the whole body” expresses how
important small things in our lives. That we should consider all parts of our body as precious
gems, that they matter. Because if one of them even the smallest part is injured or in pain, our
whole body would react and could lead it to serious pain.

This small pain that we may experience in our little finger is unavoidable as we grow up.
Sometimes, we disregard these things because in our minds, we think that it’s tolerable and far
from our death. We do not recognize them as important because what matters are the big parts of
our body just like our heart, or brain. But we should change our minds from this kind of
perspective. Small things have a great impact on our lives. When we disregard it, it could lead to
serious injury if we do not treat it immediately. Same us when we have problems in our lives, it
reduces our happiness, we could not function well. We should not disregard that small problem
rather, solve it as soon as possible to avoid more conflicts and pain.

As a conclusion, small problems are not just small than we think because at the end of the
day, no matter how that pain is small, it is still a pain. What we should do is to not disregard it
and think of a solution to this minor issue to avoid serious problems because every pain matters
no matter how small, or big it is.
