DEBATE: WHY TAKE 10 YEARS FOR ALL ENERGY TO RENEWABLE

ENERGY?
 If you do it too quickly there could be a chain reaction where the
gasoline people lose their jobs and don’t make a lot of money and the
people they buy from lose money and lose their jobs and the people
they buy from lose money and their jobs…
 Going slower would allow for better training and planning so that the
people affected would have time to change their careers.
 Taking more time would allow us to plan and build transportation and
infrastructure we need to stop using fossil fuels

Rebuttal to other argument

 Technology is always changing, so if we use a windmill that was made recently it would
be good but if we waited for tech to evolve and we used a windmill from next year it
would be improved and the year after that the windmill would be really improved.
