Road Rage in the U.S. 2

Why is road rage such a big problem in the United States?

Road rage is becoming a big problem here in the United States. More and more people

are experiencing road rage and becoming victims of road rage. This topic is very interesting to

me because I do experience road rage and wanted to dig deep and find out exactly why I and

others experience road rage. This is a very important topic because this is a very dangerous thing

that happens and is the lifetaker of lots of people every year. I am going to answer the what's and

the whys of road rage and how to keep people safe out on the roads when becoming victim of

road rage.

What is Road Rage?

Road rage is a sudden outburst of anger toward another driver typically because of the

driving of other motorists on the road. These sudden outbursts of anger are usually directed

toward one particular driver. These outbursts are very offensive to others, usually containing

shouting, swearing, and even getting physical with other drivers. When experiencing road rage,

one could use harsh driving techniques, such as aggressive lane changes, speeding, and

disobeying traffic laws.

What Causes Road Rage?

There are lots of causes of Road Rage, one being gender and age. Studies show that

younger men have the most problems experiencing and dealing with road rage. One cause of

road rage is workplace stresses or unresolved anger. Going out on the road trying to drive when

someone is angry is not a good idea, and can lead to sudden outbursts of anger and rage upon

another driver. Psychological disorders have a big part of causing road rage as well. Certain

psychological disorders limit you from controlling your anger, causing them to go to extremes on

the road. One of, if not the biggest causes of road rage is alcohol and drug use. Anything to alter

your state of mind can cause you to experience road rage.

How Do We Prevent Road Rage?

There are many things we as drivers can do to help prevent road rage. For example,

concentrating on the road is a great way to help. Do not worry about what other people are doing

and worry about personal driving. Another thing we can do to prevent road rage is to obey traffic

laws. Doing this will keep driver's calm and concentrated on the road and makes the roads much

safer to be on. Give yourself extra time to get to your destination. When people are in a rush,

they tend to speed, drive aggressively and break traffic laws.

Learning Explanation

During my research, I have figured out why Road rage is as big of a problem as it is here in the

U.S. I also have found out what exactly road rage is, what causes it, and how to prevent it. There is

nothing detailed about this topic, there are very simple explanations for any mystery about road rage.

Road rage is simply a crazy outburst of anger or frustration toward a driver because of that driver.

Anything a driver could do to violate a traffic law could spark someone's road rage toward them. The

easiest way to prevent road rage is to just drive normally and do not break any traffic laws to make

someone else mad.
