MR. SANJAY RANDIWE PRESENTED A PAPER IN IFC-2015

Mr. Randiwe presented the paper entitled ‘Investigating the Characteristics of

CO2 Mold for Stainless Steel Casting’ in the (Indian Foundry Congress) IFC-
2015 organized by The Indian Institute of Foundrymen, at India Expo Mart,
Greater Noida, New Delhi from 27th Feb ,2015 to 1st March, 2015.
In this paper a Taguchi approach is used to investigate the characteristics of
CO2 mould like mold density, mold Hardness, pouring temperature, pouring
time and required cooling time to find the optimum parameters.

MR. RAHUL SINGH PRESENTED A PAPER IN IMECCE

Research Scholar Mr. Rahul Singh presented a paper under guidance of Prof.
H.P. Jawale in IMECCE (International Mechanical Engineering Congress and
Exposition) entitled ‘Analysis of welded joint under Residual Stresses’. The
work presented in this paper describes the measurement of residual stresses
using stress relieving method, based on hole drilling technique. Subse-
quently, residual stresses are relieved and measured using strain rosettes
near the weld zone. These strain values are then converted into stress values
for safe design of weld component.

MR. ANKUR JAISWAL PRESENTED A PAPER IN ICTACEM IIT, KHARANGPUR

Ph.D Scholar Mr. Ankur Jaiswal under the guidance of Prof. H. P. Jawale pre-
sented a paper entitled ‘Optimal Synthesis of Four Bar Planner Mechanism
with Precision’ in ICTACEM-2014 (International Conference on Theoretical, Ap-
plied, Computational and Experimental Mechanics) , IIT Kharangpur. This pa-
per describes that the structural error by the proposed method is less com-
pared to that obtained by analytical method and Galerkin method. Thus, the
proposed methodology is found to be effective and suitable for designing four
bar planner mechanism.
