General instruction:
TRBP-06 is a non-invasive oscillometric blood pressure monitor an associated
PC-based computer program, capable of recording up to 500 measurements. It is
intended for use as an aid or adjunct to diagnosis and treatment when it is necessary
to measure an adult patient’s systolic and diastolic blood pressures over an extended
-1-
period of time.
The system is only for measurement, recording, and display. It makes no diagnoses.
The monitor is Worn by the patient, and records the ambulatory blood pressure during
normal daily activities. The software MRE V1.0 provides the display and
record-keeping function of the system. After the ambulatory blood pressure has been
recorded for the desired period of time, the stored readings in the TRBP-06 are
downloaded into the program. MRE V1.0 provides the data in tabular and graphic
form, as well as a patient report. A measurement plan can also be constructed with
the MRE V1.0, and up-loaded to the monitor.
When you take one measurement, the TRBP-06 monitor is worn by the patient either
in a waist belt or shoulder strap and is connected to a traditional cuff around the
non-dominant upper arm. The cuff is inflated automatically at intervals that can be
programmed during set-up, using MRE V1.0.
Blood pressure is measured by the oscillometric method, which senses the
cessation of pressure waves in the artery when occluded by pressure in the cuff.
Measurement of the frequency of the pressure waves also enables heart rate to be
measured.
There is LCD screen beside the button, you can see the result of measurement
there like this:

Note
To ensure that the monitor works properly, please read Chapter Safety and
effectiveness considerations, and follow the steps before using the monitor.
2.2 Installation
Take out the monitor and the accessories, put the battery in the monitor, connect
the monitor and the cuff.
Note
The following safety and effectiveness issues are to be considered before using
the TRBP-06 monitor.
l The reliability of the device is dependent upon conformance with the operation
and service instructions, as detailed in this manual.
l The interpretation of blood pressure measurements should only be made by a
physician. The accuracy of any blood pressure recording may be affected by the
position of the subject, his or her physical condition, and use outside the
operating instructions detailed in this manual and other factors.
l DO NOT use on neonates or children, and someone who can not protect himself.

Chapter 4 Maintenance&Cleaning
n Maintenance
n Cleaning
4.1 Maintenance
The monitor performs a range of systems and software checks during normal
operation, reporting to the user the operational status via the report and display.
However, preventive maintenance is an important function that should be routinely
performed to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the monitor.
DO NOT use the monitor if it has failed any of its diagnostic self tests, or if it displays
a greater than zero pressure with no cuff attached.
4.2 Cleaning
The monitor is not sterilisable. DO NOT immerse the monitor in any fluid, or attempt to
clean with any liquid detergents, cleaning agents, or solvents. Remove dirt and dust
from the monitor by wiping it with a soft, damp cloth. If the monitor does become
immersed in water, you should send it to our service department.
One:
It is important to select the cuff size that is appropriate to the
diameter of the patient’s upper arm. Use the ‘range lines’ on the
inside of the cuff to determine the correct size cuff to use.Wrap
the cuff gently around the arm as shown in Figure5-1. Too loose
or too tight is not recommended. The cuff maybe worn over a thin
shirt, without compromising accuracy or performance. However, it
is advised that the cuff is secured using the cuff anchor. Ensure
the air hose from the monitor to the cuff is not
Fig.5-1 compressed, crimped or damaged. Please remember that using
the wrong size cuff may give false readings.
-4-
Two:
With the patient cable draped over the patient’s shoulder, connect
the monitor and the cuff.Look at the cuff , there is a little clip.
When you wrap the cuff on your upper arm ,you can clamp it on
you sleeveas in figure5-1. Do not remove the cuff anchor at this
time. Before you proceed to Step 3 you should upload the BP
Study (refer to chapter 8). Once all the data is uploaded you may
return to this page and complete Step 3.
Fig.5-2
Three:
Insert the monitor into its pouch with the LCD showing
through top of pouch. Attach the pouch to either the
shoulder strap or the belt, (as shown in fig 5-2 and in fig 5-3)
depending on the patient’s preference.

a. Port settings
Design the interface which is connected with monitor. E.g. If we choose COM1,
it represents the software transfers and downloads the data through interface1
and monitor.
b. Device option
It represents the model of our company’s Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor.
Default option is CMS-ABPM.
c. Patient File Path
Choose the downloading directory path of your case. As soon as the data are
downloaded from the monitor, the case archive will be saved in the directory you
have selected.
When the settings of the user’s configuration information are finished, the main
interface is entered, as the following picture displays:

Display the name, ID, and the data when collect date of the patient.
4. Displaying areas of the trending graph
After choosing the case which is edited, it is used for displaying date of the trending
graph.
In order to collect the particular blood pressure information of different patients, this
software offers the setting interface of the pressure collecting parameter. During the
operation, you can press the shortcut key , or press item of the
menu bar. Display of the page is as follows:

Time Periods: Among that, Awake means the patient is in un-sleeping situation, and
Asleep refers to the sleeping situation.
Special Start and Special End are optional items. You can set the fixed
time to collect the data. Interval setting refers to the intervals of the
collecting time. To reduce the impact of the patient’s sleep, settings of

Before downloading data, please make sure the monitor has been connected to
PC correctly. The downloaded patient data will be saved in your default computer
path. If you want to change the storage path, please click the
menu ,and then the dialogue box referred before will be showed
up, operators can change the path.

Before editing , patient file should be selected first. Click the shortcut
showed below:
In the interface, you are able to select the file folder for data storage, if there are files
in the folder, all the file information will be listed including: patient name, patient ID,
test count and file name. Choose the file you want to edit, and then click to
do below edition.
If you feel some patient data are not necessary, you can delete them.
Click to show patient data deletion interface which is similar to
patient data selection interface, showed as below:

delete at the same time. After selection, click ,it will show: Click YES
to complete the deletion operation. If you want to cancel, please click NO.
Sometimes, you may want to save one original copy before you edit a file, under
this situation, you should do patient data backup. MRE V1.0 provides this function.
Enter the main menu; select to open the data backup interface
showed as below:
Storage path. See followings:
- 12 -
When you choose the file, click , a dialog box appears which can set
the path of backup file; you can set the path of backup file. See following:
As above, the backup path of the case history is: d:\mre protocol\new.Press
to finish operation.

When you choose the history case, the trend map will show on the screen
automatically. The trend map divides into two sorts: trend for color filler style and trend
for dotted line style. The trend shows as follows:

the mouse’s left button, then the trend map’s stress will be shown by dragging the
cursor to the right, and the trend map’s shrinkage will be shown by dragging the
cursor to the left. When stress the trend map, if the trend map is beyond the trend
showing area, the trend map movement can be controlled by the scroll bar, until the
trend data to be observed shows. Also, move the cursor to the y-axis, press the
mouse's left button, then the trend map's stress will be shown by dragging the cursor
to the up,and the trend map's shrinkage will be shown by dragging the cursor to the

- 19 -
Setup of sleep period includes: Awake time and asleep time. Because when
collecting patient parameter, patient doesn't always fall asleep and awake
according to collection data protocol strictly, this setup is necessary. After setup
of sleep period, the software will calculate the data automatically, and updated
trend graph recalculate the statistic data.
