This is a case study on the Millennium dome situated in the Greenwich peninsula in south east
London.It is a dome shaped mega structure which was considered as a megastructure at the time of
construction.But it was closed on 31 st December 2000 because it failed to attract the number of
visitors.Reasons for failure are lack of vision,poor execution,lack of planning,poor marketing
strategies,financially mismanaged project etc.It was planned as a soccer pitch for use of one team in
London.It was planned as one structure but ended up being other which reduced it’s aesthetic
perfection.Thus the number of visitors expected to visit reduced eventualy.And during execution,
due to lack of content negative experiences were reported by the visitors.

In this case study the success reasons of the project was discussed.Aim of this project was to
demonstrate the that carbon capture and storage is a viable option for CO2 mitigation in Australia.It
was the first project of its kind in Australia hence it had faced many technical,non-
technical,regulatory and execution challenges.These challenges were met through innovative
solutions and cooperation between participants,government bodies and the community.

construction by taking a case study on G+3 building in Khed
In this case study the reasons for the collapse of G+3 building in Khed was analysed.The major
reasons for failures were,lack of proper concreting practices,proper sieve analysis was not done for
designing mix which ultimately resulted into poor column and beam joints,lack of proper inspection
and poor quality workmanship.Thus as a result of poor execution and organising the project ended up
as a failure.

overhead water tank in the state of UP in India
The state government of uttarpradesh launched the safe drinking water project for rural population
living in remote areas.Reasons for the failures were that it was launched in general shortcomings in
the project planning phase,location of site of the project,poor quality workmanship,technology used
for construction of water tank,improper selection of material,mix,placement,compaction,leaking
formwork,curing etc.
