WORDS OF DEATH
Words of death plays a prominent role in managing good employee relations. The words you
speak which do not address someone’s core are the ‘words of death’. At workplaces people
evaluate others on what they do. They judge them, criticize them and even use harsh words.
The workplace is full of critical words and phrases which are being told to each other on daily
basis. The use of such words have great impact on employees, these words can diminish us, and
even destroy us. Leaders use some phrases in routine for accountability of employees and they
consider that such harsh statements full of torture will motivate employees and they will work
better and give more output. But they don’t realize the fact that our brains go well with
positivity and encouragement not threats and torture. In is very common in many organizations
to use torture methods and such statements like ‘I am going to hold your feet to fire’ and many
more like this. For them such phrases are need for accountability on projects.

WORDS OF LIFE
These are the words which are spoken to address someone’s core. You try to reinforce
someone’s sense of self. Affirmation works as words of life, it is when you address employee’s
inner core, you try to boost them up, encourage them by your words.
Words of life are basically the words which leaves a positive impact on someone’s heart and
mind. Because our minds thrive affirmation. For affirmation to work it is important to target the
person’s style and competence.

 Ethics must be considered important
 Positive environment at workplace is important
 Give employees confidence and trust.
 It is the role of leaders to help their employees become better people.
 Affirmation spreads positivity and reinforces sense of self
 Boost up the self-confidence of employees.
 Make them feel that they own their task and can freely make decisions.
 Never make them feel inferior
 Accept the wrongs in your organization and try to overcome those issues.
