 Implementation
 Co-ordinate with the stakeholders to obtain approvals and sign off on the change
 Develop implementation plans with Finance Users and IT
 Provide post implementation support including troubleshooting, track business process changes
etc.

Contributing Responsibilities

 Coordinate with the team to ensure administration, reporting, resiliency, etc.


 Collaborate with Global Finance, Risk users and the BA and IT community to improve processes
 Contribute to innovation & change

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

 Knowledge of Finance close & reporting process (monthly, quarterly, year-end reporting, FX
rates and conversion, consolidation etc).
 Knowledge of Atlas2 General Ledger system (highly preferred but not mandatory).
 Basic knowledge of Capital Markets/products and Accounting
 Very good SQL skills.
 Use of MS Excel for reconciliation & analysis.
 Comfortable with basic office tools (MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
 Knowledge of reference data, database parametrization, inter-relationships, tables and hierarchies

 Database concepts like tables, views, queries, BI reports
 Very strong communication, negotiation and persuasion skills
 Very good analytical skills
 Independent handling of tasks and drive to complete it end to end.
 Ability to work with tight deadlines
 Flexibility of working in APAC and EMEA shifts

 Experience in working and coordinating with Global teams and cultures

Specific Qualifications (if required)

 MBA in Finance, Bachelor of Commerce, Master in Commerce, Bachelor in Science


 5 to 8 years of experience depending upon Job role applied for Other Preferred Competencies
(not mandatory):
 Former experiences within a Finance function in Banking and Financial Services
 Prior experience in BFSI Domain (Accounting, General Ledger or Capital Market)

Analyst helps in guiding businesses in improving processes, products, services, and software through data
analysis.By analyzing the above job circulars I conclude that the below mentioned skill sets & knowledge
are required to become a successful business analyst.

Skills:

Analytical skill: One of the Important skill of a business analyst is Analytical skill. Analytical skills are
the ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve, and make decisions. A Business Analyst,
who possess these skills can help solve a company’s problems and improve its overall productivity and
success.

Communication skills: A Business analyst needs to communicate with clients and coworker
properly.Being able to communicate effectively is perhaps the most important of all life skills. It is what
enables us to pass information to other people, and to understand what is said to us.

Leadership Skill:Effective leaders have the ability to communicate well, motivate their team, handle and
delegate responsibilities, listen to feedback, and have the flexibility to solve problems in an ever-changing
workplace.

Language Skill: For a Multinational company, it is very important for a business analyst to communicate
properly in English.

Knowledge

Computer Knowledge: One of the most important knowledge for A business analyst is to understand
basic programs, such as Microsoft Word, and knowing how to take full advantage of the program’s

features, are essential. Poor computer literacy will leave a person less efficient and effective, and less
likely to fulfill their potential. Additionally, if your computer skills are poor, your clients will suspect that
you are not able to stay “with the times” in business.

Software Knowledge: A business analyst should know about Coding Language, Software Design,
Software Documentation, Software Testing, Software Maintenance, Software Development Process,
Software Requirements, Software Architecture, UML, SRS, BPMN, Context Diagram.

Also a business analyst should be self-motivated Team worker, ability to work under pressure, ability to
meet deadline, General Consulting Skills and project management skill.

Gap Analysis:

As I believe in our country there is a huge lacings of leadership skill, when a turbulent situation arrived,
people are not likely to lead rather continue to play blame game. People in our country have the tendency
to follow rule and they do not like to think out of the box. Also the have lacings on software knowledge
And the major gap I believe is communication gap specially in English.

8. My Recommendation

These are some recommendation to minimize skill gap:

 Build leadership skill and build attitude to take responsibility


 Gain more knowledge on coding language, software maintenance, software design etc.
 Improve communication skill and also enrich English language.
 Self-motivation to adapted change
