you have to select a company and design two strategies like first mover advantage and outsourcing

for two different products.

I choose a samsung company that adopts the first mover advantage and outsourcing strategies.

1. 1ST MOVER ADVANTAGE:

1st mover advantage means that you will launch the new product first time in the market then you will
get the maximum benefits by launching the product for first time in the market but in this also some
other points are involved that are:

If a company gain market share firstly before other and if a person add value and modifications in the
existing products then also this is called the first mover advantage basically the ultimate goal is to
achiecve the market share.

SAMSUNGS 1ST MOVER ADVANTAGE:

Samsung beats rivals to 5G smartphones. The 5G version of the S10 is important for a different reason,
as it gives Samsung the advantage of being the first to move. Analysts believe that flexible displays and
5G support will be two of the biggest catalysts for smartphone sales in 2019, so it's a sharp move to steal
the gear from other manufacturers who are expected to launch 5G phones in the future. Mobile World
Congress in Barcelona next month. The manufacturer has also beaten the great rival Apple. Although
5G connectivity might not be enough to steal customers from Apple, which enjoys high user loyalty, it
does at least ask consumers the question. It will find favor with 5G early adopters, encouraged by the
fact that they will be able to use a market-leading smartphone on next-generation networks to deliver
growth.

BENEFITS OF 1ST MOVER ADVANTAGE:

1. Secure excess and comitment to rare resources:

When the 5G smartphones of samsung comes in the market for the first time then they will adopt the
1st mover advantage by using some rare resources because they are not easily in access for everyone at
that time everyone should not be know about that.

2. Gain new knowledge:

samsung adopt 1st mover advantage by launching 5G smartphones they know the critical knowledge of
their customers and they conduct the surveys and find out the new concepts that they launch in the
market. And also identify that what they give to their customers and what are their customers wants.

3.gain matket share:

Samsung company adopt this policy for launching new 5G smartphones in the market for gaining their
market share and also get the best position and location in the market.

4. Establish and secure long term relationship:

Samsung adopted the 1st mover advantage policy that they introduce their 5G smartphones in new
market for the 1st time they built the long term relationship with their customers and also they retain
them beacuse you take the risks and also your customers take risks because they purchase 1st time from
your company.

5. Gain customer loyality:

Samsungs achieving the 1st mover advantage by launching 5g smartphones in market then their
customers become loyal with them and become their regular customes because they build the trust in
the mind of their end users.

OUTSOURCING:

Outsourcing means to grab the expertise from anyother company or country to complete the product
basically you seek from others and you have to identify the outsource.

SAMSUNGS OUTSOURCING STRATEGY:

Samsung will reportedly outsource nearly a fifth of its smartphone production, reaching around 60
million units, to Chinese ODMs like Wingtech in 2020 out of an overall total of around 300 million.
Samsung is partnering with a Chinese ODM Wingtech to produce its Galaxy A series phones in China to
save money. This move comes at a time when Samsung is changing its phone strategy. low-end smart
phones to compete with the existing segment leaders Xiaomi and Huawei (Honor).

1. Cost saving:

Samsung's new production strategy to outsource part of the manufacturing budget to ODM makes
sense due to the savings in production cost.

2. Focus on core business:

Samsung company have to identify their core business that what are their main goals and objectives and
they will work as a producer or distributor so the samsung companies can assemble their product
greatly but cannot make it so for this purpose they outsource with chinese ODM for the production of
their galaxy A series.

3. Cost restructuring:

Samsung compnay adopted the outsourcing policy to donot waste their time in those in which they are
not experts.

4. Knowledge:
Samsung will get the knowledge about other things by adopting the outsourcing policy. Because when
they partnering with chinese ODM they also got the knowledge about them that what they are what are
their purpose main goals etc.

5.Contract:

Samsung company do the contract with chinese ODM for the production of their galaxy A series means
that basically they want to do further business with them.

6. Operational expertise:

By doing the outsourcing with chinese ODM they can work only on that in which their operational sector
is expert in.

7. Enhance capicity and innovation:

Samsung is the technologically advanced company but they wants further improvements and innovation
in their company thats why they outsource with the chinese ODM technologically advanced company
for further innovations and for adding more features in their product and for the production of their A
series with low cost.

8. Reduce time:

When samsung company outsource with the chinese ODM company for making the product then they
can produce their products in less time. Because they are experts in making the smartphones.

9. Risk management:

By doing the outsourcing with ODM samsung's can easily managed all the risks that are involved in their
company.

10. Tax benefits.

If all the products of samsung are produced by their own company then they wil have to pay the high
taxes thats why they outsource with chinese ODM for production of A series because due to that their
taxes can also reduced.
