RESOLUTION URGINGALL OFFICES/AGENCIES OF THE PROVINCIAL

GOVERNMENT OF ILOCOS SUR, LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS (LGUs),
NATIONAL AGENCIES AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS TO SANITIZE AND
DISINFECT EVERY FRIDAY AFTERNOON

Whereas, the national economy must be kept, moving, operating and advancing even in
times of emergencies/calamities/contingencies in order to attain set and pre-set economic
goals and objectives for the general welfare of the country as a whole;
Whereas, the same is true with respect to the Ilocos Sur provincial economy for the general
welfare of the Province as a whole;
Whereas, transmission of coronavirus occurs much more commonly through respiratory
droplets than through objects and surfaces, like doorknobs, countertops, keyboards, toys, etc. 
Whereas, while the spread of the virus might feel unavoidable, the fact is that good cleaning
and disinfection routines can greatly reduce or eliminate the risk of a viral count of COVID-
19 on surfaces and objects in the office;
Whereas, as employers, it's all of our duty to maintain a clean environment and make sure
every person feels safe coming in every day;

Whereas,all concerned buildings, facilities, and office vehicles must undergo proper
disinfection and decontamination to “ensure the safety of our personnel and the public we
serve.”
Whereas, in order to attain a safety, clean and healthy office environment, personnel and the
public, we must continue in all sectors of the economy including the government and its
offices/agencies by sanitizing and disinfecting offices every Friday afternoon of the week;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, as it is hereby RESOLVED by the
SangguniangPanlalawigan of Ilocos Sur to URGE ALL OFFICES/AGENCIES OF THE
PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF ILOCOS SUR, LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS
(LGUs), NATIONAL AGENCIES AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS TO SANITIZE AND
DISINFECT EVERY FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
