Orphic Gold Tablet

I.
ἀλλ᾿ὁπόταμ ψυχὴ προλίπηι φάος Ἠελίοιο ( .. . )
But as soon as the soul leaves the light of Helios [ . . . ]
不不过，亡灵⼀一旦离开了了阳光（赫利利俄斯的光明）……

II.
εὑρήσεις Ἀΐδαο δόμοις ἐπὶ δεξιὰ κρήνην,
[ . . . ] you will find in the palace of Hades on your right a spring
……你将在哈迪斯神殿的右边看⻅见⼀一汪泉⽔水

πὰρδ᾿ αὐτῆι λευκὴν ἑστηκυῖαν κυπάρισσον·

and next to it a white cypress:
在它附近有只⽩天鹅：

ἔνθα κατερχόμεναι ψυχαὶ νεκύων ψύχονται.

That’s the place where the descending souls of the dead cool themselves.
这是落⼊灵魂的亡灵冷却（清洗？）⾃⼰的地⽅。

ταύτης τῆς κρήνης μηδὲ σχεδὸν ἐμπελάσηισθα·

Do by no means go near this spring!
⽆论如何也不要靠近着汪泉⽔！

πρόσθεν δὲ εὑρήσεις τῆς Μνημοσύνης ἀπὸ λίμνης

Further on you will find cold water flowing forth from the lake of Memory:
再进⼀步你将看到从谟涅摩绪涅之湖流出的冷⽔；

ψυχρὸν ὕδωρ προρέον· φύλακες δὲ ἐπύπερθεν ἔασι.

There are guardians standing above [it].

τοὶ δέ σε εἰρήσονται ἐνὶ φρεσὶ πευκαλίμηισι

They will ask you with shrewd mind,

why you are searching through the darkness of gloomy Hades.

in mimetic prose: “Who are you? Where do you come from?”

τοῖςδὲ σὺ εὖ μάλα πᾶσαν ἀληθείην καταλέξαι·
You, tell them absolutely the whole truth!

εἰπεῖν· “Γῆς παῖς εἰμι καὶ Οὐρανοῦ ἀστερόεντος·

to drink cool water from the lake of Memory!”
饮⽤用来⾃自谟涅摩绪涅之湖的冷⽔水！”

καὶ δή τοι ἐρέουσιν ὑποχθονίωι βασιλεί‹ηι›·

And they will actually tell it to the queen of the nether world.
⽽而他们则会将这（你的话）转述给冥界的⼥女女王。

καὐτοί σοι δώσουσι πιεῖνθείης ἀπ[ὸ κρή]νης·

And they themselves will give you to drink from the divine spring.
然后他们⾃自⼰己将让你饮⽤用这神圣的泉⽔水。

καὶ δὴ καὶ σὺ πιὼν ὁδὸν ἔρχεα‹ι› ἥν τε καὶ ἄλλοι

And then having drunk you will take the holy path
饮⽤用完毕后你将踏上神圣的道路路

μύσται καὶ βάχχοι ἱερὴν στείχουσι κλε‹ε›ινοί.

which are treading also the other mystai and bakkhoi, the renowned.
有名望的mystai 和 bakkhoi 也曾⾛走过这条路路

III.a.
εἰπεῖν Φερσεφόνηι σ᾿ ισ ὅτι Βάχ‹χ›ιος αὐτὸς ἔλυσε.
Tell Persephone that Bacchios himself has released you.
告诉泊⽿耳塞福涅，巴克斯⾃自⼰己已经释放了了你。

“Πλούτωνι καὶ Φερσεφόνῃ (χαίρειν).”

in prose “I greet [or greet] Pluto and Persephone!”
（以拟散⽂文的⼝口吻）“我向普鲁托和泊⽿耳塞福涅致敬！”

“ἔρχομαι ἐκ καθαρῶν καθαρή, χθονίων βασίλεια,
“I am coming out of the pure ones, myself a pure [soul], queen of the inhabitants of the nether world,

“我来⾃自洁净者，我⾃自⼰己（的灵魂）已然洁净，统治冥界居⺠民的⼥女女王啊，

Εὐκλὲς Εὐβο‹υ›λεύς τε καὶ ἀθάνατοι θεοὶ ἄλλοι·

Eucles and Eubouleus and [you], the other immortal gods.
欧克勒勒斯（指宙斯）和欧布勒勒斯（指狄俄尼索斯）以及 [你们]，其他永⽣生的神明。

καὶ γὰρ ἐγὼν ὑμῶν γένος ὄλβιον εὔχομαι εἶναι.

For, I too I pride myself to belong to your blessed family.

I have flown out of the cycle of deep affliction and grief.
我已经逃离了了伤⼼心苦恼的轮回。

ἱμερτο‹ῦ› δ᾿ἐπέβην στεφάνο‹υ› ποσὶ καρπαλίμοισι,

I have set foot on the crown I longed for with swift feet.
我⻜飞快的驻⾜足在为渴望已久的王冠上。

δεσποίνης δὲ ὑπὸ κόλπον ἔδυν χθονίης βασιλείης.

I have sunk into the lap of the mistress, the queen of the nether world.
我将⾃自⼰己没⼊入⼥女女主⼈人，冥界⼥女女王的膝头。

Νῦν δ᾿ ἱκέτι‹ς› ἥκω παρ‹ὰ› ἁγνὴ‹ν› Φε‹ρ›σεφόνε‹ι›αν

Now I come as a suppliant to the pure Persephone,
现在我向纯洁的泊⽿耳塞福涅乞援，

Ὥς με πρόφ‹ρ›ω‹ν› πέμψηι ε‹ἰ›ς εὐαγέων ‹λειμῶνα›.”

so that she may send me graciously to the <meadow> of the purified.”
这样她会仁慈的送我到神圣的草地。”
