Types of Criminals
A murderer is a person who kills deliberately and without justification. In some instances, killing a
person is considered a just or valid action — in a war, a soldier who kills another soldier is not
considered to be a murderer, and people who kill in self-defense, to save themselves, are also not
murderers.

Individual behavior patterns change with the seasons and with them the opportunity for crime to
occur. For example, people spend more time outside in the warmer weather, increasing the
number of potential targets for street crime.
d. Violent criminals - Violent crimes are violations of criminal law that involve the intentional use
of violence by one person against another.
