It was assumed that "As the Novel and the Drama are compounded of same elements".

But later, it
was known that the Novelist and Dramatist write in different ways. Although, their elements are same.
The principles of dramatic construction depends upon circumstances of its existence. A novel is written
to read, an epic to recite and a drama is designed for actors to present. It is started with an action and
speech. It's represented in a way that it shows all the Dramatic features. A literary drama in history was
a stage play. A drama is not self contained because when we read a drama, it feels incomplete
enjoyment and implies all the elements outside which are missing. While a novel is self contained
because it provides full comprehension and enjoyment. So when we are reading, all seems and actions
should be paas as in front of us.

Drama also depends upon the stage conditions which sometimes are affected by methods and arts of
dramatist. Modern plays are made in which setting is explained in detail, the time, gestures, characters
and stage representation. For example, Funness's edition of "Othello" drama in which wealth of
Shakespeare's reading is seen which makes an amazing situation when it was performed on the stage. It
is difficult to understand the aspects of Greek tragedy without knowledge of theater. For instance, "
Speaking place" where the scenes and the whole stage picture is represented. Costumes of the actors
were to represent the heroic style. Also, there was use of masks to hide the change of face expressions.
These three facts show the characteristics of an ancient drama.

As fast expressions, lower tone would have been lost in outdoor theaters. Language which was used
expository represents outrageous firmness which recognize the terror of the Greeks from that of the
verbal exchange which delight us so much in Shakespeare and different experts of English tragedy.
When we the illustrations of Shakespearean drama, they seem to be connected with all principles of
stage play. The stage on which Shakespeare's plays were performed were three kind of stage; Front
stage is a sreet or hall like free space. Back stage which was behind like a room where the extra furniture
or other things were placed. Upper stage is behind the back stage. It's like a gallery. Such as Juliet's
gallery. Shakespeare's each play has a natural conclusion. His work was not limited till the public
theaters but also they show the quality of theaters.

A novel is not written with a single setting while a play according to Aristotle,"single hearing".
Shakespeare wrote many prose and verse such as "Brooke's Romeos and Juliet", converted it into a play.
Great difference between the novel and drama is Plot. Characterization is one of the fundamental
element in the Drama. In Dramatic art, first condition is brevity. For example, Mecbeth and his wife were
a vital character in the literature history. Also Hamlet is the largest single part in which we see the
complex characters. Professor Tolman say, only those characteristics of the hero should be made
prominent which really influence the cause of action; and that these characteristics should be
unmistakable".

Methods of characterization: Action is implied by a character. Through actions we are known which is
doing what? Plot depends upon an action in the good play or a good novel. Dialogue is the basic part of
an action. The story of drama moves with it. Such as, "Euphrasia" in Beaumont and Fletcher's Philaster.
A skillful dramatist, except if he has a few exceptional rationale in his covering will take agonizes to
demonstrate the crucial characterstics of his main Character. There is no exemption for be made to
overall explanation that exchange is the playwright's just subtitle for immediate monologue,
investigation and analysis of the novel. This is designed a term "Soliloquy" under which term, we
incorporate not just discourse legitimate yet in addition that minor region of a similar structure which
we known as "Aside". In Shakespearean soliloquies, we see the natural interpretations.
