The nature Journal was about my exploration of North Pint Park.

This is located in front of

my house, using these four weeks to reflect on our time observing and feeling nature.
Touring a place that has always been within my reach but that I had not had the opportunity
to take time to explore, recognize and observe as much space as possible. This project
helped me know how important it’s for me to always have green spaces in my life.
Ecopsychology talks about the relationship that exists between human beings and nature.
When I spent time in North Pink Park, I remembered this concept because every week I
enjoyed being there, away from the noise of the city but while still being in it. Likewise,
how important it is for my well-being to be united with nature, balancing my life in many
aspects. This activity helped me improve my observation skills since with this, I was able to
remember faces that I saw in previous weeks and how I saw the process of change in
nature, where the transformation of the seasons and all the factors that affected it are
evidenced.
In the last week, I opened my senses, I enjoyed every second to let myself be enveloped by
its beauty and charm. In addition, Attention Restoration Theory explains how walking on a
trail helps to revitalize us and make us feel good. In this park, I was able to put this theory
into practice because walking was a reliever for my stress, helping my mental health and
keeping me at rest after a hard week full of commitments. Despise being a place where I
rarely visited and where I attended just to be able to carry out the project, and thus be able
to connect with the environment, I felt a great decrease in my stress during every moment I
was there.
This activity, more than a job to do, was an experience because I was able to connect with
nature, admire the landscape, discover the place from up close, enjoy the environment, and
meet the type of people who use this place frequently. This is very simple, it has nothing
but trails, trees, and a few wildflowers. It also helped my sense of sight learn to observe,
stop and pay attention to details.
I unconsciously apply different concepts or rather, sharpen these when I applied them in my
routine because this activity became my routine every week for a month, to get me out of
my monotony. I also believe I would carry out this activity, but I would like to go without
any technological device, to reach a point of relaxation and full connection to be able to be
attentive to everything that happens around me and forget about problems or commitments,
being this experience a renewal of energies and improve with this my quality of life.
