circumstances.

during the Covid-19 pandemic

After talking about organizations situated in our school, let’s move on to learning
about organizations all over the world. We have saved you the trouble by grouping
them into different categories, the first being children’s rights organizations
First on the list:
UNICEF
-UNICEF works in over 190 countries to save children’s lives, to defend their rights
and to help them fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.
-What they do:
•They work with partners all around the world to promote policies and expand access to
services that protects all children.
•They also work around the world to support quality learning for every child and to
reduce child poverty, shielding them from its lifelong consequences.
•They empower girls and women, ensuring their full participation in political, social
and economic systems.
•Furthermore, UNICEF also delivers sustainable access to lifesaving supplies where
they are most needed and researches about the situation of children worldwide.
Secondly, one of the most popular organizations for children in Viet Nam is

SOS Children’s Villages

- The purposes of this organization are building families for orphans, abandoned and
disadvantaged children and helping them shape their futures.
- They work with communities to provide a loving home for children who need
alternative care and to prevent family breakdown.
They are committed to creating and maintaining a caring and protective environment
for every child
They also advocate for children’s rights, encouraging them to speak up for
themselves.
Moreover, they help ensure that children's fundamental right to education is met.
- In the world, SOS children’s villages have helped many countries in Africa, the
Americas, Asia, Europe, Oceania; they have supported 4 million children through
alternative care and family strengthening.

So how does these children’s rights organizations help our community?

-Children are considered society’s future, yet many of them are still in poverty, have
poor conditions of living, and are exploited for personal gains. Some don’t have a
family, a couple of orphanages today arechocked full even.
-These organizations strive to improve every aspect of children's lives to ensure that
they will have every opportunity available to them as they grow up. As a result, a lot of
kids living an unfortunate life have now been given the opportunity to learn, to play, to
have a normal childhood like every other, and to have a loving family that they can
trust.

not take private prison funds.

How organizations fighting for racial justice contribute to the

community
- Reality :Black people have always been racially discriminated against in the past
and even now, systematic racism is still present in society which can clearly be seen
from the rise of police brutality recently.
-Associations similar to the above example have a tremendous impact on the
community, they are raising awareness on issues surrounding systemic racism andis

The benefits of wildlife/environmental organizations

-There are many species of animals today that are endangered or on the verge of
extinction, but this wildlife cannot speak, therefore these organizations act as a voice
for wildlife so the world could acknowledge the dangers that some species are facing in
order to preserve them.
-Through scientific research, many species have been saved wildlifefrom extinction and
illegal trafficking.
-Not only that, these organizations are trying to conserve the ecosystems as well as
combating climate change, the greatest environmental threat that we’ve faced to date.

•After introducing some helpful organizations, I think all of us can understand how
important they are for marginalized/underprivileged groups in particular and for the
community in general.
•But how does volunteer and charity work profits us?
-Through volunteer work, we can feel more connected to others, improveour social and
relationship skills are improved, and it’s a great way to make new friends.

anxiety, anger and even symptoms of depression.
-Furthermore, volunteering brings fulfillment to our life, we all have our own interests
and passions that can be explored when doing volunteer work explore our own interests
and passions . Not only that, satisfaction also comes from the joy of knowing we’re

volunteer in some organizations, donate money, food, clothes to handicapped people
and those with unfortunate life. Or simply, you could educate yourself more on these
issues and share to your family and friends what you’ve learned.
