The authors talk about the Endotherms (animals which maintains a constant temperature in

their bodies like humans) and how dinosaurs could be related to these kinds of animals.

To begin with the author argues that there are fossils which have been found in polar regions,
regions in which the temperatures are too low that only endotherms animals could survived
under these conditions, this specific argument is challenged by the lecturer. He claims that
during that time the polar regions were warmer than today and during the time in which the
temperature goes down the dinosaurs could easily migrate or hibernated like other no
endotherms animals.

Secondly the writer suggests how the legs position of the dinosaurs makes them an
endotherms animal, these kinds of animals use their legs under their body to carry physical
activity such as running but these activities are only worth it if their legs are under their bodies,
and dinosaurs share this characteristic. The lecturer however, rebuts this by mentioning that,
this characteristic is not just necessary for physical activity, this structure in their body could
have made them grow bigger and with more weight something that for dinosaurs had a lot of
advantages.

Finally, the author posits that dinosaurs had a bone structure which allowed them to grow
quickly in a short period of time, another important characteristic of endotherms animal, in
contrast, the lecturer’s position is that, even thought the dinosaurs bone structure suggest the
rapidly growing it also provides than the growing of dinosaurs could have been different
depending on the weather, something that no endotherms animals have in common.
Second.

The reading and the lecture are both about the decreasing of reading among young people.
The author of the reading feels that this is a problem due to the fact that this lack of reading
has a negative effect in society. The lecturer challenged the claims made by the author.

To begin with the author argues that, nothing else provides what literature book give us, a
mental stimulation and a constantly exercise for or minds. This specific argument is challenger
by the lecturer. She claims that good books don’t have to be necessary a literature good, there
are good books out there that are as good as a literature one could be, and also provide to our
brains the same that literature books do.

Secondly, the writer suggests that young people instead of reading are doing other things that
the author considers is a waste of time, like watching television, read a web page and listen to
music. The lecturer however rebuts this by mentioning that, time has changed and not all the
cultural things are just in reading, there a lot of new ways of expressions of the art, like could
be watching movie, which could give us such as knowledge and metal stimulus like a book
could provide.

Finally, the author posits that due to the lack of readers, talented writers are losing audience
since young people are interested in other stuffs making a waste of talented people. In
contrast the lecturer position is that even though this is true, not all the blame is from young
people since some books are very complicate to understand making them very boring and
tedious to read, du to this young people become even less interested in reading literature
books nowadays.
