:: CREDITS & SOURCES ::

I highly recommend checking out all the sources (and more publications from those authors) that
I’m referencing here. Those are all great ressources when it comes to billet work !

U.M.O.S.
Al Baker created the original Umbrella Move and published it in 1933 in Al Baker’s Book.

You can also find it in The Secret Ways of Al Baker published by Miracle Factory.

U.M.O.S. in a hat/cap
Cyril Marriott published a trick called Your Thought in the Phoenix Magazine #68 where he is
doing the umbrella move in a hat. More recently I also found this idea in a routine in Mindzilla vol.1
by Nathan Kranzo, called Thoughts.

U.M.O.S. in a box
Various publications with the fact of opening a billet inside a box can be found. The first that
comes in mind is the Q&A devised with the Hull Card, in a John Riggs DVD. Previously Bob
Cassidy also published the idea in one of his Q&A.

Palmreading Peek Plot

The way I’m opening the billet shares some similarities with Richard Busch Zen Billet, published
in Peek Encore. I thought using palm reading as a plot to get a peek was original with me, but I
found out Banacheck has a peek using this plot in his video Psy Series Vol.1 for a number
divination.

Through a Glass Reading ?

We can find numerous ideas revolving around reading an information through a glass in the
magic/mentalism literature. As an example : Barrie Richardson’s routine A Dessert and a First
Love in his book Curtain Call. Or The Secret, a Dunninger effect in Practical Mental Effects by
Annemann.
