THE MAJOR SIGNS BEFORE

THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT

MARCH 12 2014 / 11 JUMADA AL AWWAL 1435 HIJRI

BY Shaikh Abdullah Al Faisal

Noted Taken By: Al Ghuraba & TI-Nspire

Edited By Abu Hafiza & TI-Nspire

One day some companions were talking about something, and the prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam)
asked them, what are you talking about? The companions mentioned they were talking about the day of
judgement. The prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) told them that the day of judgement will not appear
until 10 major signs will appear.

Hudhaifa b. Usaid Ghifari reported: Allah's Messenger (‫ )ﷺ‬came to us all of a sudden as we

were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the Companions)
said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not cone until you
see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the
beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased
with him), the Gog and Magog, and land-slidings in three places, one in the east, one in the
west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would
drive people to the place of their assembly

{Sahih Muslim: Book 41, Chapter 13 Hadith 6931}

THE COMING OF IMAM MAHDI

The prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said that at the end of time the Mahdi will emerge. Mahdi means
the guided one.

The Mahdi will come from the lineage of Hassan ibn Ali.

He is considered to be among the rightly guided caliphs. It is not the Mahdi the shi’ite are waiting for

The Shiite have a crazy concept about imam Mahdi

The prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said Imam Mahdi's name will be like the prophet's name and his
father's name will be the same as the prophet's father’s name.

Abdullah-bin-Masood May Allah be pleased with him has reported that the Prophet Peace and
blessings be upon him said, "The world will not pass away before the Arabs are ruled by a man
(referring to Mahdi) of my family whose name will be the same as mine." (Abu Daud)

The prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) also said the Mahdi will fill the world with justice and equality
just like it was filled with tyranny, injustice and oppression before.

The Mahdi's name will be Muhammad ibn Abdullah, and his rule will be for 7 years.

THE SHI'ITE CONCEPT OF IMAM MAHDI

The shi'ites believe there are 12 imams and the 12th imam is Muhammad ibn Hasan al-Askari. He
disappeared in a tunnel at the age of 5 years old.

He disappeared in a place called Samara in Iraq. The shi'ites still claim he is alive and he is expected to
re-emerge as the awaited mahdi.

When the shi'ite mahdi re-appears, he will bring 1/3 of the Quran as they believe the Quran is not
complete.

SHIA HUJJAH: A comparison between the present Quran and the original Quran (which was compiled by
Imam Ali (r.a) will be brought by Imam Mahdi when he appears before the Day of Judgment.

(Usul Kaafi, Vol. 2, p. 123)

When he comes back, he will bring back Abu Bakr and Umar back to life and crucify them. Because they
are the two idols of Quraish.

SHIA HUJJAH:

In a narration attributed to Imam Abi Abdullah, he says: "Do you know what he (Shia ImamMahdi) will start
with? I said: "No." He said: "He will dig out the two (meaning Abu Bakr and Umar) as wet and fresh. Then,
he will burn them and scatter their remains in the wind. And he will break-up (demolish) the Mosque (
meaning the Haram Mosque of Mecca ).

(al-Majlisi, Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 52, p. 387)

He will bring Aisha back to life and crucify her for committing zina.

The Shia believe that at the time of Mahdi’s return Imam Mahdi will resurrect Aisha (Prophet Mohammad’s wife)
and execute the law of Hudud on her, for committing Zina (adultery) during her marriage.

(Al-Anwar Al-Numaniyah, vol. 1, p. 161, Tafsir al-Shafi, vol. 2, p. 108, Haq al-Yaqeen, vol. 2, p. 256, Hayat al-
Qulub, vol. 2, p. 611)

When the Mahdi comes, there will be an abundance of rain.

THE DAJJAL

Fatimah bint Qais reported that after the people prayed in the Prophet's (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam)
masjid, the prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) told them to stay in their places and the prophet
(sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was smiling and asked them do you know why i have told you to stay back?

Narrated Fatimah, daughter of Qays: The Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬once delayed the
congregational night prayer. He came out and said: The talk of Tamim ad-Dari detained me.
He transmitted it to me from a man who was on of the islands of the sea. All of a sudden, he
found a woman who was trailing her hair. He asked: Who are you? She said: I am the
Jassasah. Go to that castle. So I came to it and found a man who was trailing his hair,
chained in iron collars, and leaping between Heaven and Earth. I asked: Who are you? He
replied: I am the Dajjal (Antichrist). Has the Prophet of the unlettered people come forth
now? I replied: Yes. He said: Have they obeyed him or disobeyed him? I said: No, they have
obeyed him. He said: That is better for them.

{Sunnan Abu Dawud: Book 39 Hadith 35 & Book 38 Hadith 4311}

They said, Allah and his messenger know best. The prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) mentioned the
story of Tamim ad-Daari, which corroborated with the story of dajjal that the prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam) mentioned to the sahabah.

Amir b. Sharahil Sha'bi Sha'b Hamdan reported that he asked Fatima, daughter of Qais and sister
of ad-Dahhak b. Qais and she was the first amongst the emigrant women: Narrate to me a hadith
which you had heard directly from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and there is no
extra link in between them. She said: Very well, if you like, I am prepared to do that, and he said to
her: Well, do It and narrate that to me. She said:

Every worshipper should keep sitting at his place. He then said: Do you know why I had asked
you to assemble? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He said: By Allah. I have not
made you assemble for exhortation or for a warning, but I have detained you here, for Tamim Dari,
a Christian, who came and accepted Islam, told me something, which agrees with what I was-
telling, yuu about the Dajjal. He narrated to me that he had sailed in a ship along with thirty men of
Bani Lakhm and Bani Judham and had been tossed by waves in the ocean for a month. Then
these (waves) took them (near) the land within the ocean (island) at the time of sunset. They sat in
a small side-boat and entered that Island. There was a beast with long thick hair (and because of
these) they could not distinguish his face from his back. They said: Woe to you, who can you be?
Thereupon it said: I am al-Jassasa. They said: What is al-Jassasa? And it said: O people, go to
this person in the monastery as he is very much eager to know about you. He (the narrator) said:
When it named a person for us we were afraid of it lest it should be a Devil. Then we hurriedly
went on till we came to that monastery and found a well-built person there with his hands tied to
his neck and having iron shackles between his two legs up to the ankles. We said: Woe be upon
thee, who are you? And he said: You would soon come to know about me. but tell me who are
you. We said: We are people from Arabia and we embarked upon a boat but the sea-waves had
been driving us for one month and they brought as near this island. We got Into the side-boats
and entered this island and here a beast met us with profusely thick hair and because of the
thickness of his hair his face could not be distinguished from his back. We said: Woe be to thee,
who are you?

It said: I am al- Jassasa. We said: What is al-Jassasa? And it said: You go to this very person in
the monastery for he is eagerly waiting for you to know about you. So we came to you in hot haste
fearing that that might be the Devil. He (that chained person) said: Tell me about the date-palm
trees of Baisan. We &aid: About what aspect of theirs do you seek information ? He said: I ask
you whether these trees bear fruit or not. We said: Yes Thereupon he said: I think these would not
bear fruits. He said: Inform me about the lake of Tabariyya? We said: Which aspect of it do you
want to know? He said: Is there water in it? They said: There is abundance of water in it.
Thereupon he said: I think it would soon become dry. He again said: Inform me about the spring
of Zughar. They said: Which aspect of it you want to know? He (the chained person) said: Is there
water in it and does it irrigate (the land) ? We said to him: Yes, there is abundance of water in it
and the inhabitants (of Medina) irrigate (land) with the help of it, He said: Inform me about the
unlettered Prophet; what has he done? We said: He has come out from Mecca and has settled In
Yathrib (Medina).

He said: Do the Arabs fight against him? We said: Yes. He said: How did he deal with him? We
informed him that he had overcome those in his neighbourhood and they had submitted
themselves before him. Thereupon he said to us: Had it actually happened? We said: Yes.
Thereupon he said: If it is so that is better for them that they should show obedience to him. I am
going to tell you about. myself and I am Dajjal and would be soon permitted to get out and so I
shall get out and travel in the land, and will not spare any town where I would not stay for forty
nights except Mecca and Medina as these two (places) are prohibited (areas) for me and I would
not make an attempt to enter any one of these two.
An angel with a sword in his hand would confront me and would bar my way and there would be
angels to guard every passage leading to it; then Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him)
striking the pulpit with the help of the end of his staff said: This implies Taiba meaning Medina.

Have I not, told you an account (of the Dajjal) like this?'The people said: Yes, and this account
narrated by Tamim Dari was liked by me for it corroborates the account which I gave to you in
regard to him (Dajjal) at Medina and Mecca. Behold he (Dajjal) is in the Syrian sea (Mediterranian)
or the Yemen sea (Arabian sea).

Nay, on the contrary, he As In the east, he is in the east, he is in the east, and he pointed with his
hand towards the east. I (Fatima bint Qais) said: I preserved It In my mind (this narration from
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him).

{Sahih Muslim: Book 41, Chapter 22 Number 7028}

Tameem ad-Daari was a Christian from Palestine and he went in a boat with 30 men and due to their ship
being tossed and turned due to severe weather, they ended up on an island. This is where he came
across the hairy beast called al jasasa (spy) and the dajjal as the above hadith mentions.

Al-nawwas b. Sim’an al-Kilabi said: The Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬mentioned the Dajjal (Antichrist)
saying: If he comes forth while I am among you I shall be the one who will dispute with him on
your behalf, but if he comes forth when I am not among you, a man must dispute on his own
behalf, and Allah will take my place in looking after every Muslim.

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: There will be no
land which would not be covered by the Dajjal but Mecca and Medina, and there would no
passage out of the passages leading to them which would not be guarded by angels arranged in
rows. Then he (the Dajjal) would appear in a barren place adjacent to Medina and it would rock
three times that every unbeliever and hypocrite would get out of it towards him.

{Sahih Muslim: Book 41, Chapter 22 Number 7032}

The dajjal will be on earth for 40 nights or 40 days

The dajjal will rule for 40 days, 1 day will be like a year, 1 day will be like a month, 1 day like a week and
the rest of the days like normal days.

Narrated Al Nawwas b. Sim'am Al Kilabi Said: The Messenger of Allah Mentioned: That Those of
you who live up to his time should recite over him the opening verses of Surat al – Kahf, for they
are your protection from his trial. We asked: How long will he remain on the earth? He replied:
Forty days, one like a year, one like a month, one like a week, and rest of his days like yours. We
asked: Messenger of Allah, will one day’s prayer suffice us in this day, which will be like a year?
He replied: No, you must make an estimate of its extent. Then Jesus son of Marry will descend at
the white minaret to the east of Damascus. He will then catch him up at the date of Ludd and kill
him.

[Sunan Abi Dawud 4321 & Book 39 Hadith 31]

When the dajjal spoke to Tameem ad-Daari, he was Christian. The dajjal told them that it would be better
for them to accept what the prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is propagating, so Tameem ad-Daari
became a Muslim.

Before dajjal emerges, the people will suffer due to severe drought and the animals will die.

But then the dajjal will emerges and say to someone what if I bring your animals back to life, will you
accept that I am Allah.

The dajjal will have jinns working for him, so the jinns will take the form of the cows heavily filled with milk.
The man on seeing this, will say subhanallah! subhanallah! and he will worship the dajjal thinking that it is
Allah.

He will trick people by convincing people that he will bring back the people's animals and so the people
will worship him instead of Allah.

The parents of dajjal were barren for 30 years and then miraculously gave birth to a boy who is one eyed

The dajjal is the biggest fitnah

The dajjal is blind in the right eye and your Lord is not one eyed

Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA) said: One day the Messenger of Allah (SAW) mentioned Al-Masih Dajjal
(the Antichrist) in the presence of the people and said, "Verily, Allah is not one-eyed but Al-Masih
Ad-Dajjal is blind in the right eye which looks like a swollen grape."

[Al-Bukhari (7127) and Muslim (169)]

The dajjal will start of by being a tyrannical king, and then he sees his powers increase he will claim to be
a prophet, and when he sees his powers increase, he will claim to be Allah. So these are the stages.

The dajjal is a Jew.

There was a man in Medinah, who the people thought was the dajjal called ibn Sayyad. And Umar (RA)
wanted to kill him because he was causing fitnah BUT ibn Sayyad told the prophet that he was not a
dajjal because the dajjal doesnot have kids and he had kids

When the prophet said the dajjal does not have kids, the scholars say he is sterile and some say he is
gay

Whenever you are living in a country that legalizes gay marriage that is a dajjal system

Some interpret the hadith that the dajjal will not have any children, some scholars say he will be sterile,
others say he will be gay.

The sheikh is inclined to the opinion that the dajjal is gay, ‘why does he not have kids’?

The dajjal will be able to cause the clouds to open up and let it rain if the people believe in him, if you do
not believe in him, then your animals will die due to a lack of rain.

The dajjal will go to a Bedouin and ask where are your parents? The bedoiun will say my parents died.
The Dajjal will say if I bring them back to life, will you believe that I am Allah? He will say yes. Because of
the Jinns that work for him, they will take on the form of his parents. When the Bedouin sees his parents,
he will say subhanallah! subhanallah! and he will worship the dajjal thinking it is Allah.

“Part of his fitnah will be that he will say to a Bedouin, Do you think that if I resurrect your
father and mother for you that you will testify that I am your lord?’ He will say, ‘Yes.’ So two
devils will appear to him in the image of his father and mother, saying, ‘O my son, follow him
for he is your lord.’”

(Narrated by Ibn Maajah, no. 4067. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani, Saheeh al-Jaami’ al-
Sagheer, hadeeth 7752)

Scholars of islam like Shawkani said, ‘I am amazed by how someone can think that dajjal is Allah
because he is blind in one eye and when he walks he dips. One of his legs is deformed. He is disabled’.

I will tell you why people will be carried away by the dajjal. This is because before the dajjal comes there
will be drought and he will make the rainfall if you believe in him. This is why the prophet (sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam) said the biggest fitnah to emerge to drive away the people from Allah (SWT) will be the dajjal.

A man will come out and argue with the dajjal and he will kill the man. He will cut the man into two equal
halves with a saw. He will then bring the man back to life. The dajjal will say I killed you and I bought you
back to life, will you believe I am Allah? The man will say now I am sure you are actually the dajjal. The
prophet said this man who argued with the dajjal will be with the best in the highest paradise.

When the dajjal comes to Makkah and Medina, he will not be able to enter because the angels are
guarding Makkah and Medinah.

The prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said that the biggest fitnah that will affect the Muslims is the
dajjal.

Nawwas bin Sam'an Al-Kilabi said: He said: 'He will come to some people and call them, and they
will respond and believe in him. Then he will command the sky to rain and it will rain, and he will
command the earth to produce vegetation and it will do so, and their flocks will come back in the
evening with their humps taller, their udders fuller and their flanks fatter than they have ever been.
Then he will come to some (other) people and call them, and they will reject him, so he will turn
away from them and they will suffer drought and be left with nothing. Then he will pass through
the wasteland and will say: "Bring forth your treasures," then go away, and its treasures will
follow him like a swarm of bees. Then he will call a man brimming with youth and will strike him
with a sword and cut him in two. He will put the two pieces as far apart as the distance between an
archer and his target. Then he will call him and he will come with his face shining, laughing.

[Sunan ibn Majah Vol. 1, Book 36, Hadith 4075 Sahih]

When the dajjal will come to Makkah and Medinah, he will not be able to enter because the angels are
guarding them. So he will cause Medinah to shake with three earthquakes and all the hypocrites in
Medinah will panic and will run out and go to the dajjal like a lamb to the slaughter.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬said, "There will be no town which Ad-Dajjal will not
enter except Mecca and Medina, and there will be no entrance (road) (of both Mecca and Medina)
but the angels will be standing in rows guarding it against him, and then Medina will shake with its
inhabitants thrice (i.e. three earthquakes will take place) and Allah will expel all the non-believers
and the hypocrites from it"

[Sahih al-Bukhari Vol: 3 Book 29 Chapter 9 Book 1881]

There is hadith that says the dajjal will emerge from Khorasan

Hudhaifa and Abu Mas’ud got together and Hudhaifah said: I know best what the Dajjal
(Antichrist) will have with him. He will have with him a sea of water and a river of fire, and what
you see as fire will be water and what you sea as water will be fire. If any of you who lives up to
that time and desires water, he should drink from what he sees as fire, for he will find it water. Abu
Mas’ud al-Badri said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬say in this way.
[Sunan Abi Dawud 4315 Sahih]

Narrated Rabi bin Hirash: 'Uqba bin 'Amr said to Hudhaifa, "Won't you relate to us of what
you have heard from Allah's Apostle ?" He said, "I heard him saying, "When Al-Dajjal
appears, he will have fire and water along with him. What the people will consider as cold
water, will be fire that will burn (things). So, if anyone of you comes across this, he should
fall in the thing which will appear to him as fire, for in reality, it will be fresh cold water."
Hudhaifa added, "I also heard him saying, 'From among the people preceding your
generation, there was a man whom the angel of death visited to capture his soul. (So his
soul was captured) and he was asked if he had done any good deed.' He replied, 'I don't
remember any good deed.' He was asked to think it over. He said, 'I do not remember,
except that I used to trade with the people in the world and I used to give a respite to the
rich and forgive the poor (among my debtors). So Allah made him enter Paradise." Hudhaifa
further said, "I also heard him saying, 'Once there was a man on his death-bed, who, losing
every hope of surviving said to his family: When I die, gather for me a large heap of wood
and make a fire (to burn me). When the fire eats my meat and reaches my bones, and when
the bones burn, take and crush them into powder and wait for a windy day to throw it (i.e.
the powder) over the sea. They did so, but Allah collected his particles and asked him:
Why did you do so? He replied: For fear of You. So Allah forgave him." 'Uqba bin 'Amr said, "I
heard him saying that the Israeli used to dig the grave of the dead (to steal their shrouds)."

{Sahih Al Bukhari Vol: 4 Book 56 Hadith 659}

The dajjal will have two rivers with him. There will be a river that will look like water but in reality, it will be
fire. There will be another river, which will look like fire, but in reality, this will be water.

It was narrated that Abu Bakr Siddiq said: "The Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬told us: 'Dajjal will emerge
in a land in the east called Khorasan, and will be followed by people with faces like hammered
shields.'"

[Sunan ibn Majah Vol. 1, Book 36, Hadith 4072] {Grade: Hasan}

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (‫ )ﷺ‬said: The Dajjal would be followed by seventy
thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls.

[Sahih Muslim 2944]

The Jews want to tear down Masjid al Aqsa so that they can build in its place the temple of Solomon to
receive the dajjal.

Narrated by Hazrat Ibn-e-Umer, Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “Dajjal will stay in the
saline land ‘Marqnaat’ while most of the womenfolk shall approach him. Even so that a man will
tie-up his wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt with rope fearing that they might not conjoin
with Dajjal ….” (Ahmed Vol 2)
Anas reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "There
is no Prophet who has not warned his community about the one-eyed liar. Indeed, he is one-eyed
and your Lord, the Mighty and Exalted, is not one-eyed. Written between his eyes is: kaf - fa' - ra'."

[Agreed upon]

The dajjal will have the word KAFIR between his eyes, even the illiterate person will be able to read it if
they are a sincere believer.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The Dajjal
would come forth and a person from amongst the believers would go towards him and the armed
men of the Dajjal would meet him and they would say to him: Where do you intend to go? He
would say: I intend to go to this one who is coming forth. They would say to him: Don't you
believe in our Lord? He would say: There is nothing hidden about our Lord. They would say: Kill
him. Then some amongst them would say: Has your master (Dajjal) not forbidden you to kill
anyone without (his consent)? And so they would take him to the Dajjal and when the believer
would see him, he would say: O people. he is the Dajjil about whom Allah's Messenger (may
peace be upon him) has informed (us). The Dajjal would then order for breaking his head and utter
(these words): Catch hold of him and break his head. He would be struck even on his back and on
his stomach. Then the Dajjal would ask him: Don't you believe in me? He would say: You are a
false Masih. He would then order him to be torn (into pieces) with a saw from the parting of his
hair up to his legs. After that the Dajjal would walk between the two pieces. He would then say to
him: Stand, and he would stand erect. He would then say to him: Don't you believe in me? And the
person would say: It has only added to my insight concerning you (that you are really the Dajjal).

He would then say: O people, he would not behave with anyone amongst people (in such a
manner) after me. The Dajjal would try to catch hold of him so that he should kill him (again). The
space between his neck and collar bone would be turned into copper and he would find no means
to kill him. So he would catch hold of him by his hand and feet and throw him (into the air) and the
people would think as if he had been thrown in the Hell-Fire whereas he would be thrown in
Paradise. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: He would be the most
eminent amongst persons in regard to martyrdom in the eye of the Lord of the world.

{Sahih Muslim; Book 41, Chapter 18 Number 7019}

PROTECTION FROM THE DAJJAL

PROTECTION #1 - CONSTANTLY RECITE THE DUA TO SEEK PROTECTION FROM THE FITNAH
OF THE DAJJAL
It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas that: The Messenger of Allah used to teach them this
supplication as he taught them surahs of the Quran: Allahumma inna na'udhu bika min 'adhabil-
qabri wa a'udhu bika min fitnatil-masihid-dajjal, wa a'udhu bika min fitnatil-mahya wal-mamat (O
Allah, We seek refuge with You from the torment of Hell, and I seek refuge with You from the
torment of the grave, and I seek refuge with You from the trail of Al-Masihid-Dajjal, and I seek
refuge with You from the trails of life and death)"

[Sunan an-Nasa'i 2063 Sahih]

PROTECTION #2 - MEMORISE THE FIRST TEN VERSES OF SURAH KAHF (THE CAVE)

Abu Darda' reported Allah's Apostle (‫ )ﷺ‬as saying: If anyone learns by heart the first ten verses of
the Surah al-Kahf, he will be protected from the Dajjal.

[Sahih Muslim 809]

" ‫من حفظ عشر آيات من أول سورة الكهف عصم من الدجال " واإلستعاذة باهلل من الفتنة عقب التشهد األخير من كل صالة‬
Whoever memorises the first ten verses of sura Al-Kahf will be protected from Dajjal.’One should also seek
refuge with Allah from the tribulations of the Dajjal after the last tashahhud in prayer. {Muslim}

The recitation of Surah Kahf is a safe guard from the Dajjal's turmoil. The Prophet (Sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam) said, "Whoever memorizes the first ten verses of Surah Kahf will be safe from
the Dajjal's Fitna."

(Abu-Darda / Muslim)

Narrated from ‘Imraan ibn Husayn (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace
and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Whoever hears of the Dajjaal, let him keep far
away from him, for a man will come to him and think that he is telling the truth because of
the wonders that are sent with him.”

{Imaam Ahmad (19118), Abu Dawood (3762) and al-Haakim (4/31)}

PROTECTION #3 - TO LIVE IN MAKKAH OR MEDINAH

Because the dajjal will not be able to enter these two holy cities, due to the angels protecting all
the gates of these two cities.

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (‫ )ﷺ‬said: There will be no land, which would not be
covered by the Dajjal but Mecca and Medina, and there would no passage out of the passages
leading to them, which would not be guarded by angels arranged in rows. Then he (the Dajjal)
would appear in a barren place adjacent to Medina and it would rock three times that every
unbeliever and hypocrite would get out of it towards him.

[Sahih Muslim 2943]

One should try to migrate to Makkah or Madinah, as he will not be able to enter these two holy
cities. Thus, one will be protected from his fitna. (Fatimah-b-Qais / Muslim)

"There are angels standing at the gates of Madînah; neither plague nor the Dajjal can enter it."

(Al-Bukhârî, Muslim)

THE RETURN OF PROPHET JESUS (AS)

And he ['Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)] shall be a known sign for (the coming of) the Hour
(Day of Resurrection) [i.e. 'Iesa's (Jesus) descent on the earth]. Therefore, have no doubt
concerning it (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). And follow Me (Allah) (i.e. be obedient to Allah and do
what He orders you to do, O mankind)! This is the Straight Path (of Islamic Monotheism, leading to
Allah and to His Paradise).

(Az-Zukhruf 43:61)

Ibn Khaldun was a great Islamic scholar but he was not a scholar of Aqeedah.

If you want to stay on the right path, stick to the Aqeedah of ibn Taymiyyah and ibn katheer and stick to
the Aqeedah of the four great imams.

The prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, Jesus will descend at the white minaret in Damascus,
wearing a yellow thaub.

Narrated Abu Hurayrah: The Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬said: There is no prophet between me and him, that is,
Jesus (‫)ﷺ‬. He will descent (to the earth). When you see him, recognise him: a man of medium
height, reddish fair, wearing two light yellow garments, looking as if drops were falling down from
his head though it will not be wet. He will fight the people for the cause of Islam. He will break the
cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam. He will destroy the
Antichrist and will live on the earth for forty years and then he will die. The Muslims will pray over
him.

[Sunan Abi Dawud 4324 Sahih]

When he descends, the iqaamah for fajr will be recited, so the imam will step back and will ask Jesus to
lead the salah, but Jesus will refuse to lead the prayer as the iqaamah was not read for him.

Al-nawwas b. Sim’an al-Kilabi said: Then Jesus son of Marry will descend at the white minaret to
the east of Damascus. He will then catch him up at the date of Ludd and kill him.

[Sunan Abi Dawud 4321 Sahih]

Al-nawwas b. Sim’an al-Kilabi said: …Then Jesus son of Marry will descend at the white minaret
to the east of Damascus. He will then catch him up at the date of Ludd and kill him.

[Sunan Abi Dawud 4321 Sahih]

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬say: A section of my people will
not cease fighting for the Truth and will prevail till the Day of Resurrection. He said: Jesus son of
Mary would then descend and their (Muslims') commander would invite him to come and lead
them in prayer, but he would say: No, some amongst you are commanders over some (amongst
you). This is the honour from Allah for this Ummah.

[Sahih Muslim: Book 1 Chapter 72 Hadith: 293]

Once they have prayed, Jesus (AS) will ask for the gate to be opened and the dajjal will be waiting
outside with his arm and dajjal will start to melt when he see's Jesus, but Jesus will still chase him and kill
the dajjal with his spear.

Jesus (AS) will reign for 40 years.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JESUS

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬said, "I met Moses on the night of my Ascension to
heaven." The Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬then described him saying, as I think, "He was a tall person with lank
hair as if he belonged to the people of the tribe of Shanu's.' The Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬further said, "I met
Jesus." The Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬described him saying, "He was one of moderate height and was red-
faced as if he had just come out of a bathroom. I saw Abraham whom I resembled more than any
of his children did." The Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬further said, "(That night) I was given two cups; one full of
milk and the other full of wine. I was asked to take either of them; which I liked, and I took the milk
and drank it. On that it was said to me, 'You have taken the right path (religion). If you had taken
the wine, your (Muslim) nation would have gone astray."

[Sahih al-Bukhari Vol: 4 Book: 60 Chapter: 48 Hadith: 3437]

It is narrated on the authority of Jabir that the Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬said: There appeared before
me the apostles, and Moses was among men as if he was one of the people of Shanu'a, and I saw
Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him) and I saw nearest in resemblance with him was 'Urwa b.
Mas'ud, and I saw Ibrahim (blessings of Allah be upon him) and I see your companions much in
resemblance with him, i.e. his personality, and I saw Gabriel (peace be upon him) and I saw Dihya
nearest in resemblance to him; but in the narration of Ibn Rumh it is Dihya b. Khalifa

[Sahih Muslim]

The prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said that Jesus resembled Urwah ibn Masood.

THE 5 MISSIONS OF PROPHET JESUS (AS)

Jesus (AS) is coming back to kill the swine, to break the cross, to abolish the jizya, to kill the dajjal and to
kill the Gog and Magog.

Abû Hurayrah said, "The Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, 'By Him in Whose hand is my
soul, surely the son of Mary will come down among you as a just ruler. He will break the cross, kill
the pigs and abolish the Jizyah. Wealth will be in such Abûndance that no-one will care about it,
and a single prostration in prayer will be better than the world and all that is in it.' "Abû Hurayrah
said, 'If you wish, recite the Ayah: "And there is none of the People of the Book but must believe
in him before his death; and on the Day of Judgement he will be a witness against them ..." (Al-
Nisa 4:159)

(Al-Bukhârî, Muslim)

Narrated that Majma’ ibn Jaariyah al-Ansaari (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “I
heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: ‘The son of
Maryam will kill the Dajjaal at the gate of Ludd.”
{Imaam Ahmad (no. 14920) and al-Tirmidhi (no. 2170)}

An-Nawwas b. Sam'an reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) made a mention
of the Dajjal one day in the morning. He sometimes described him to be insignificant and
sometimes described (his turmoil) as very significant rand we felt) as if he were in the cluster of
the date-palm trees. When we went to him (to the Holy Prophet) in the evening and he read (the
signs of fear) in our faces, he said: Every non-believer who would smell the odour of his self
would die and his breath would reach as far as he would be able to see. He would then search for
him (Dajjal) until he would catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd and would kill him.

{Muslim Book 41 Chapter 18 Hadith: 7015}

THE GOG AND MAGOG

And never say of anything, "I shall do such and such thing tomorrow." except (with the saying), "If
Allah will!" And remember your Lord when you forget and say: "It may be that my Lord guides me
unto a nearer way of truth than this."

(Al-Kahf 18:23-24)

These are wild tribes and were Turks, from the lineage of Japheth.

Japheth was one of the sons of Noah. Sam was another son of Noah, and he was the father of the Arabs.
Ham is the father of the black people. Japheth is the father of the white people.

So the Gog and Magog are white people.

They were on earth killing people, then a king called Dhul-Qarnain built a copper wall to contain them.

They have been trying to scale this wall but have been unable to do so because they have not mentioned
insha Allah.

This king made hajj with prophet Abraham (AS).

One day the Gog and Magog will say insha Allah and so they will be able to pierce the wall and get
through and when they do they will drink all the water

They will shoot arrows in the sky and they will return bloodstained.

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Jabir with the same chain of transmitters but with this
addition that Gog and Magog would walk until they would reach the mountain of al-Khamar and it is a
mountain of Bait-ul-Maqdis and they would say: We have killed those who are upon the earth. Let us now
kill those who are In the sky and they would throw their arrows towards the sky and the arrows would
return to them besmeared with blood. And in the narration of Ibn Hujr (the words are) : "I have sent such
persons (Gog and Magog) that none would dare fight against them.

How will Jesus kill the Gog and Magog?

He will make a dua against the Gog and Magog, and Allah (SWT) will cause worms to infect their napes
(back of their necks) and they will die from this.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬said: "Gog and Magog people
dig every day until, when they can almost see the rays of the sun, the one in charge of them says:
"Go back and we will dig it tomorrow." Then Allah puts it back, stronger than it was before. (This
will continue) until, when their time has come, and Allah wants to send them against the people,
they will dig until they can almost see the rays of the sun, then the one who is in charge of them
will say: "Go back, and we will dig it tomorrow if Allah wills.' So they will say: "If Allah wills." Then
they will come back to it and it will be as they left it. So they will dig and will come out to the
people, and they will drink all the water. The people will fortify themselves against them in their
fortresses. They will shoot their arrows towards the sky and they will come back with blood on
them, and they will say: "We have defeated the people of earth and dominated the people of
heaven." Then Allah will send a worm in the napes of their necks and will kill them thereby.'" The
Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬said: "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, the beasts of the earth will
grow fat on their flesh."

[Sunan ibn Majah Vol. 1, Book 36, Hadith 4080 Sahih]

Narrated on the authority of Jabir with the same chain of transmitters but with this addition that
Gog and Magog would walk until they would reach the mountain of al-Khamar and it is a mountain
of Bait-ul-Maqdis and they would say: We have killed those who are upon the earth. Let us now kill
those who are In the sky and they would throw their arrows towards the sky and the arrows would
return to them besmeared with blood. And in the narration of Ibn Hujr (the words are) : "I have
sent such persons (Gog and Magog) that none would dare fight against them.

{Sahih Muslim: Book 41, Chapter 18 Number 7016}

When the Gog and Magog die, their stench will be extremely bad.

They (two tribes or peoples) will appear at the time of Jesus son of Mary, after the Dajjal. Allah will
destroy them all in one night, in response to the supplication of Jesus. Abû Hurayrah reported
that the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, "Every day, Gog and Magog are trying to dig a
way out through the barrier. When they begin to see sunlight through it, the one who is in charge
of them says, 'Go back; you can carry on digging tomorrow,' and when they come back, the
barrier is stronger than it was before. This will continue until their time comes and Allah wishes to
send them forth. They will dig until they begin to see sunlight, then the one who is in charge of
them will say, 'Go back; you can carry on digging tomorrow, insha'Allâh.' In this case he will make
an exception by saying insha' Allah, thus relating the matter to the Will of Allah. They will return
on the following day, and find the hole as they left it. They will carry on digging and come out
against the people. They will drink all the water, and the people will entrench themselves in their
fortresses. Gog and Magog will fire their arrows into the sky, and they will fall back to earth with
something like blood on them. Gog and Magog will say, 'We have defeated the people of earth,
and overcome the people of heaven. Then Allah will send a kind of worm in the napes of their
necks, and they will be killed by it' 'By Him in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the beasts of
the earth will become fat.'" Gog and Magog are two groups of Turks, descended from Yafith
(Japheth), the father of the Turks, one of the sons of Noah. At the time of Abraham - ’alayhis salâm
-, there was a king called Dhu'l-Qarnayn. He performed Tawaf around the Ka'bah with Abraham -
’alayhis salâm - when he first built it; he believed and followed him. Dhu'l-Qarnayn was a good
man and a great king; Allah gave him great power and he ruled the east and west. He held sway
over all kings and countries, and travelled far and wide in both east and west. He travelled
eastwards until he reached a pass between two mountains, through which people were coming
out. They did not understand anything, because they were so isolated; they were Gog and Magog.
They were spreading corruption through the earth, and harming the people, so the people sought
help from Dhu'l-Qarnayn.

They asked him to build a barrier between them and Gog and Magog. He asked them to help him
to build it, so together they built a barrier by mixing iron, copper and tar. Thus Dhu' -Qarnayn
restrained Gog and Magog behind the barrier. They tried to penetrate the barrier, or to climb over
it, but to no avail. They could not succeed because the barrier is so huge and smooth. They began
to dig, and they have been digging for centuries; they will continue to do so until the time when
Allah decrees that they come out. At that time the barrier will collapse, and Gog and Magog will
rush out in all directions, spreading corruption, uprooting plants, killing people. When Jesus (AS)
prays against them, Allah will send a kind of worm in the napes of their necks, and they will be
killed by it."

(Al-Bukhârî)

APPEARANCE OF THE BEAST

This sign is so important that Allah (SWT) mentioned this sign in the ayah above.
And when the Word (of torment) is fulfilled against them, We shall bring out from the earth a beast
to them, which will speak to them because mankind believed not with certainty in Our Ayat
(Verses of the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad SAW).

(An-Naml 27:82)

The beast will speak to you in your language, whether that is Urdu, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese,
Womanizer, Arabic or any other language.

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr that the Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “The first signs to
appear will be at the rising of the sun from the west and the emergence of the Beast to the people,
at forenoon.’” 'Abdullah said: "Whichever of them appears first, the other will come soon after."
'Abdullah said: "I do not think it will be anything other than the sun rising from the west."

[Sunan ibn Majah Vol. 1, Book 36, Hadith 4069 Sahih]

And when the Word (of torment) is fulfilled against them, We shall bring out from the earth a beast
to them, which will speak to them because mankind believed not with certainty in Our Ayat
(Verses of the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad SAW).

(An-Naml 27:82)

This sign is so important that Allah (SWT) mentioned it in the ayah above.

Do they then wait for anything other than that the angels should come to them, or that your Lord
should come, or that some of the Signs of your Lord should come (i.e. portents of the Hour e.g.,
arising of the sun from the west)! The day that some of the Signs of your Lord do come, no good
will it do to a person to believe then, if he believed not before, nor earned good (by performing
deeds of righteousness) through his Faith. Say: "Wait you! we (too) are waiting."

(Al-An'am 6:158)

The above-mentioned signs are; the beast, the dajjal and the rising of the sun in the west instead of the
east.

Abdullah ibn 'Amr said, "I memorized a Hadîth from the Prophet - sallallâhu ’alayhi wa sallam -
which I have not forgotten since. I heard the Prophet - sallallâhu ’alayhi wa sallam - say, 'The first
of the signs (of the Hour) to appear will be the rising of the sun from the West and the appearance
of the Beast before the people in the forenoon. Whichever of these two events happens first, the
other will follow immediately.' " (Muslim).
Abû Hurayrah said: "The Prophet - sallallâhu ’alayhi wa sallam - said, 'Hasten to do good deeds
before six things happen: the rising of the sun from the West, the smoke, the Dajjal, the Beast, the
(death) of one of you or general tribulation.' " (Muslim.)

When the beast comes, it will brand every human being on the forehead.

It was reported from Abû Hurayrah that the Prophet - sallallâhu ’alayhi wa sallam - said, "The
Beast of the Earth will emerge, and will have with it the rod of Moses and the ring of Solomon." It
was also reported that he said, "(The Beast) will destroy the noses of the unbelievers with the
ring, - so that people seated around one table will begin to address one another with the words "O
Believer!" or "O Unbeliever!" (i e, everyone's status will become clear). (Ibn Majah)

It will brand on the forehead 'Muslim' to a Muslim and will brand 'kafir' if he was a kafir.

So everyone’s status will become clear.

THE DESTRUCTION OF THE KA'BAH

A black man from Ethiopia with thin legs called Dhul suwayqatayn will dismantle the Kabah brick by brick
in order to steal its treasures.

'Abdullâh ibn 'Amr said, "I heard the Prophet - sallallâhu ’alayhi wa sallam - say, 'Dhu'l-
Suwayqatayn from Abyssinia will destroy the Ka'bah and steal its treasure and Kiswah. It is as if I
could see him now: he is bald-headed and has a distortion in his wrists. He will strike the Ka'bah
with his spade and pick-axe.' "(Ahmad)

Ibn 'Abbas narrated that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhe wa sallam) said, "It is as if I can see him
now: he is black and his legs are widely spaced. He will destroy the Ka'bah stone by stone."
(Ahmad)

THE RISING OF THE SUN FROM THE WEST

Every morning the sun rises from east and sets in the west.

On the authority of Abu Dharr (RA): The Prophet (SAW) asked me at sunset, “Do you know
where the sun goes (at the time of sunset)?” I replied: Allah and His Messenger know best.
He said: “It goes and prostrates beneath the Throne, and it asks for permission, and
permission is given to it. But soon it will prostrate and it will not be accepted from it, and it
will ask for permission and permission will not be given to it, and it will be said to it: ‘Go
back from where you came.’ So it will rise from its place of setting, and that is what Allah
says (interpretation of the meaning): “And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term
(appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. (Ya-Sin 36:38)’

[Sahih Bukhari (4/108) No. 3199] {Bukhari Vol: 9 book 93 Hadith 520}

Abû Hurayrah said, "The Prophet - sallallâhu ’alayhi wa sallam - said, 'The Hour will not come until
the sun rises from the West. When the people see it, whoever is living on earth will believe, but
that will be the time when - No good will it do to a soul to believe in them then, if it believed not
before' "

(Al-Bukhârî)

The sun goes to the west to make sajdah.

THE LARGE SMOKE

The purpose of this smoke is to deprive the hypocrites of their hearing and their sight and the believers
will only get something like a cold.

A FIRE FROM YEMEN, WHICH WILL DRIVE THE PEOPLE TO THEIR PLACE OF ASSEMBLY,
WHICH IS IN JERUSALEM

In the Hadith of Hudaifa-b-Usaid regarding the Major signs the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam) said, "At the end of which a fire would burn out from Yemen and would drive people to the
place of their assembly."
