RE BUS 1010 Term Research Proposal - Medical and Health Services Manager

Career:
I want to research the career path and position of a medical and health services manager in a mid-size to
large company.

My Interest:
I’ve always loved learning about medicine and healthcare, and I’ve recently become interested in
businesses and how they work. I’d like to learn more about this career specifically because it combines
both of my interests, and I’d like to see how those two areas work together.

Advantages:
I am a very determined and hardworking person, and even though I do struggle with finding the
motivation to start projects and assignments, I can finish homework quickly and efficiently when I really
put my mind to it. I’m very interested in the medical field and in business, and this interest will motivate
me to learn more about this career. I am also good at researching and can determine whether a source is
scholarly and relevant. I have a laptop with me almost all the time, and I’ll have plenty of time to do this
project if I start now and manage my time.

Potential Limitations:
My schedule is full of concurrent enrollment classes, with only two classes being regular classes, and I
take three classes online at SLCC. I also work a part time job, usually working 15-18 hours a week. I also
tend to procrastinate very often, and I usually don’t finish assignments until the day that it’s due. I like to
do almost everything but homework, making it difficult for me to find the motivation to start my
assignments.
