First, we should know that since 1841, when tourism showed its first signs, it has

presented different scenarios, for which it has had to constantly adapt and change.
Ecuador has not been the exception; tourism in the country has developed over
time. For this reason, certain laws and regulations have been established in order to
regulate this activity. One of the most important branches of the tourism sector is
intermediation, which is classified into four types of travel agencies: wholesale,
retail, international and dual, each with its own established functions. In a way, these
agencies allow direct connection between tourism providers and clients, receiving in
return a commission for the services rendered. In other words, the common function
of these different agencies is mediation.

On the other hand, in "Turismo para la Vida" travel agency a quality management

model is used to offer quality products and services to customers. This model is the

EFQM, where, to obtain it, several changes were made in the company. It began by

defining the mission, vision, and ethical values of the agency, then a manual of

processes and procedures was developed to organize and streamline the processes

of preparation, promotion, sale, and monitoring of the tourism products and services

offered. Different strategies were proposed to improve the agency's performance,

both externally with clients and internally with administrative staff. Also, to guarantee

a quality service, alliances were formed with different certified providers in the tourist

area. With all these changes, 4 of the criteria necessary to obtain the EFQM quality

certification were met.

About our production process and service, we have already analyzed the market

and we have our target market: young travelers, newlyweds, and retired people.  We

know their necessities and how to get to them with our products and services.
Young travelers want new and adventurous destinations at a low cost. Newlyweds

want the perfect and most romantic honeymoon where they can take pictures for

their Instagram accounts. With these two targets the product would be advertised on

social media.

Retired people want calm and warm destinations. But also they travel to other

countries to visit their families. our products and services are advertised on a few

radio stations. All this is important for the production and selling process of our

products.

As part of the quality management system model we apply, we monitor the level of

satisfaction not only of our external customers but also of the internal customers. To

reach and keep the quality of our services and products is important to have the

feedback of both of our customers.

We created the Legal and Administrative Institutional Framework of "Turismo para
la Vida"  travel agency, based on the article 425 of the Constitution of the Republic
of Ecuador, which deals with the hierarchical order of Laws and the Kelsenian
Pyramid. Each one of the laws that make-up the Kelsenian pyramid require an
administrative institutional framework.For that reason,

in the first rank of the pyramid is the constitution of the Republic of Ecuador and we
have the constitutional court as the regulatory institution.

In the second rank is the Code of Ethics of Tourism, and as the regulatory institution
we have the UNWTO.

The Law of Companies, belongs to rank three, as the regulatory institution we have
the Superintendence of Companies.

In rank four is the Tourism Law, as the regulatory institution we have the Ministry of
Tourism.

In rank six is the regulation of Tourist Land Transportation, whose regulatory
institution is the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works.

In rank seven is the Ordenanza Del Sistema Cantonal De Turismo De Cuenca

(Cuenca Cantonal Tourism System Ordinance), whose regulatory institution is the
Municipality of Cuenca.

Finally, in the last rank is the statute of the travel agency, as the Institutional
Administrative framework will act on all the Partners or Shareholders of the
company.

is indispensable to have previous knowledge of destinations, dates and tourist
companies.
