Assessment Task 2 – Portfolio of evidence 

 
Your team has been asked to set up the management strategy for a new business. You have been asked
to put together a set of documents that will shape the way this new business and its leadership.  
 
It is a collaborative task, as in the workplace, whereby the team will share knowledge and information to
produce the evidence jointly.  
The task will be worked on in the classroom under the supervision of the Trainer/Assessor who will
act as Manager of the business and all presentation of information is expected to meet professional
workplace standards.   
Scenario: Choose an organisation and industry that is familiar to you to be the organisation you are to
work on. You could choose, for example, a business you have worked for or you work with. 
You are going to design a system for positive leadership in the business.  
  

 
 
Ask your trainer and assessor for guidance in choosing a suitable organisation/scenario. 
 
You and the team are now required to design a leadership plan for the organisation that includes
each of the following key areas and how you would demonstrate them in the business.  
 
 Some help text (highlighted in grey) is provided to guide you in this task’s completion.
Make sure to address what the help text requires you to do and to delete the help text
before you submit.
