EXPLANATORY NOTES OF SCHEDULE OF PRICES
SECTION 1 GENERAL
1.4.1 Explanatory notes for various items of work in Schedule-1, Schedule -02 and Schedule -03 are
given below:
1.4.2 The basic quantities of components and materials required to make up a unit of work for
selected items, are indicated for guidance only. There may be minor variations to suit erection but no
adjustment in prices of Schedule 1 shall be made on that account. In estimating the prices for various
items of work, provision for loss and wastage in transit and erection should be provided for over and
above the basic quantities of components and materials required to make up a unit of work, indicated
herein, except where otherwise specified for materials supplied by the Purchaser.
1.4.3 In the explanatory notes given in Section-2 of this Chapter, the term 'Small parts steel work’ is
meant to cover fabricated steel work made from rolled steel sections, complete with bolts and nuts and
washers where required for fastening the small parts steel work to any structural member. The term
"attachment” wherever used is intended to cover castings, forgings, machined or welded components or
fittings, which are attached directly to a structural member, or mounted on small parts steel work and
shall include bolts and nuts for fastening the attachment to the structural member or small parts steel
work. All Steel structures, SPS and attachments supplied by the contractor shall be galvanized @1000
gm/sq.m.
1.4.4 In the explanatory notes given in Section 2 of this chapter, the term "bimetallic connection” is
meant to cover any connection between a copper conductor and an aluminium conductor. The clamps
used for such connections shall be made of a suitable aluminium alloy or copper alloy and the
copper/aluminium conductor shall be wrapped with a bimetallic (aluminium copper) strip to prevent
direct contact between aluminium and copper.
1.4.5 Special notes for measurements are included in section 2 of this chapter under various items,
where necessary.
1.4.6 Reconciliation of materials supplied by the Purchaser (see para 1.2.20)

(a) The following procedure shall be adopted for the final reconciliation of the various equipments,
materials, fittings and conductors supplied by the Purchaser in terms of para 1.2.20 (see Annexure 4).
(b) All the materials supplied by the Purchaser shall be correctly accounted for and quantities
reconciled on completion of the work by the Contractor. On completion of work, all surplus materials
supplied by the Purchaser together with the ones found defective or that have become defective or
broken on account of defective materials and/or workmanship shall be returned to him by the
Contractor.
The Purchaser will supply the requirement of the various other equipments, components or fittings listed
in Annexure-4. If there are any shortages during final reconciliation, their cost will be recovered by
the Purchaser from the Contractor at the prices inclusive of all charges as specified in note below:-
NOTE :
(1) If there are any shortages during final reconciliation, their cost will be recovered by the Purchaser
from the Contractor at the book rate or the last purchase rate or the prevailing market rate,
whichever is higher, plus 5% on account of initial freight, 2% on account of incidental charges
together with supervision charges at 12.5% of the total cost inclusive of material freight and
incidental charges. Freight between the Purchaser’s source of supply and the Contractor's depot or
Railway siding shall be to the Contractor's account.
(2) No recovery/reconciliation shall however, be made as per the preceding paras if the items stated
under Clause 1.4.6 is made contractor supply by including the respective optional items in the
contract.
SECTION -2 : PARTICULAR
(1) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this section, the entire requirement of the equipments,
components and fittings for the work listed in Price Bid ( Packet –II) will be supplied by the Purchaser
to the Contractor (see para 1.2.20). The prices in Schedule of Prices & Quantities shall be exclusive of
cost of supply of these items mentioned in Annexure-4.

(2) In the case of wires, conductors, etc., the prices for erection shall include any assembly work to be
done in the Contractor's depot prior to erection at site, such as fabrication of droppers etc to shapes
and sizes required.
Part-A:- Explanetory Notes for 110KV/27KV AC TSS AT

KANJURMARG.

ITEM NO.1: DESIGNS AND DRAWINGS FOR TRACTION SUBSTATION AND
FEEDING POST WITH HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE.
The price shall cover on an a flat rate basis per substation, survey, investigation of soil bearing
pressure and soil resistivity, preparation of cross section drawings, preparation of general
arrangement drawings, detailed layout of equipments, bus bar connections and insulator
arrangement, layout of cable trenches in outdoor and inside the control room, layout of earthing
system and earth connections, layout of earth screen wire, design of supporting structures for
110KV/27KV equipments, detailed drawings for steel work and structural support, suitable
steel / concrete, pedestals, plinths and foundations for equipment’s and structural supports and
drawings / designs for equipments, components, fittings, name plates and materials.
The price shall include the detailed design and drawings for TSS and FP including along track
feeders, Cross Feeders , jumpers from Equipment to Cross Feeder & cross feeder to OHE
(Catenary & Contact) besides the Control & Relay panel for Kanjurmarg AC TSS as per RDSO
specification No. TI/SPC/PSI/PROTCT/4050 or latest for Cross Feeders , jumpers from
Equipment to Cross Feeder & cross feeder to OHE (Catenary & Contact), including Testing
and Commissioning.
Supply of requisite no. of copies of all drawings, including completion drawings specified in
part – II, Chapter V to the Purchaser. Drawings shall be developed in Auto-CAD and compact
disc containing all such as erected drawings/calculations shall be submitted to the purchaser
along with one set of branded HW & SW consisting of 1 no. Intel i5 Proceccer (6th generation)
or latest, 3.0 G Hz & above along with 500 GB HDD, 3 GB RAM, 52 x multimedia kit with
speakers, writer, Printer HP laser jet multiuse such as scanner cum copier cum printer, model
Laser Jet pro MFP M435nw or latest of similar parameters, A-3 size or superior, 21” flat LED
monitor, DVD COMBO Drive, associated SW such as windows 10 or latest , MS office,
bilingual ( lipi or any other hindi ), 4 no. 64 GB pen drive and 3 Nos. 1 TB or above portable
hard disc, 8 Nos revolving chairs & 4 Nos of Office tables of reputed make for Drawing room
for the scrutiny of LOPs, SEDs, CSDs, ESPs etc.
All supporting frame work for Pedestals of CB, PT, CT, Isolator, LA, Insulator etc. shall be on
foundation bolt type where ever applicable except for gantries for 25 kV Switch yard and cross
Gantry where pit foundation may be adopted.
Note:- 1) The design for drain water sump if necessary at site will also be got
approved from the purchaser.
ITEM NO. 2 - (a)(i) Concrete for foundation & trench in hard soil. ( M-20 type)
(a)(ii) Concrete for foundations and trench in rock. ( M-20 Type)
The price shall cover excavation, supply and handling of all materials and
accessories, temporary arrangements for excavation in hard soil and in rock for
concrete/masonry drains/walls requiring use of chisel and hammer for item 2 (a)
(i) or requiring blasting 2 (a) (ii), Shoring where necessary, casting concrete

including frame work where necessary, tamping of concrete, grouting of masts
and finishing the top of concrete foundation or anchor blocks. The price also
includes dismantling of all connected temporary arrangements, back filling with
earth and compacting the same to the required height and width as per drawing to
ensure safety of foundation, confining the exposed height of foundation block to
within 10 cm., and removal of spoil. The price shall include dismantling of all
connected temporary arrangements, back filling required and removal of soil. The
price shall also cover the cost of diversion of masonry/earth drain wherever
necessary for casting of foundation. Price shall also cover clearing the debris of earth
from site and leveling of earth.
The Purchaser's Engineer shall certify where use of chisel and hammer or blasting
has been necessary. The contractor shall arrange for supply of explosives and all
tools and plants for blasting operations at his own cost. If half or more of the depth
or width of excavation is in hard soil/concrete/masonry drains/walls or in rock, the
entire foundations shall be paid for under item 2 (a) (i) or 2 (a) (ii) as the case may be.
If half of the depth or width of the excavation is in hard soil/concrete/masonry
drains/walls and the other half is in rock, the entire foundation shall be paid under
item 2 (a)(ii). The price shall include the cost of cement, water also. The Rlys shall not
supply steel , cement & water. The cement shall be of reputed companies &.water
shall be potable.
NOTE- For measurements for item 2 (a)(i) & (a)(ii).
1. The payable volume of the foundations under item 2 (a) (ii) shall be limited to the
designed one as shown in the drawings for which the trial hole has been blasted,
irrespective of the actual configuration assumed by the latter due to blasting.
2. The depth of excavation shall be measured from the formation level of the sub-
station to the maximum excavated point required for casting foundation.
ITEM NO. 2(b) - CONCRETE FOR FOUNDATION AND TRENCH OTHER THAN
HARD SOIL AND ROCK: ( -M 20 TYPE)
The price shall include all work mentioned in item 2 (a) in all classes of soil,
including black cotton and loose soils, except hard soil,
concrete/masonry/drains/walls and rock. The price shall include the cost of cement
also. The Railways shall not supply cement. The water used for concreting, curing
etc. shall be potable water and same has to arranged by the contractor.
ITEM NO. 2(C)(i) REINFORCED CONCRETE FOR FOUNDATION & TRENCH,

BAFFLE WALL OR ANY OTHER WORKS ( M-20 TYPE)
The price shall cover excavation and construction of reinforced columns and
brickwork laid in cement mortar 1:3 mix for the baffle wall. The price shall include
supply of steel for reinforcement and other materials. The price shall also include
bending/binding and laying of reinforcement, shoring, shuttering and scaffolding
arrangements, required for the construction of brick wall and its curing. The price
shall also include dismantling of all connected temporary arrangements, back filling
required and removal of Earth spoil. The price shall include the cost of cement and
steel also. The Railways shall not supply cement

ITEM NO. 2(C)(ii) CABLE TRENCH COVERS
The price shall cover casting of cable trench covers in reinforced concrete as per
drawing specified in Annexure-1 (A) The cable trench covers will be cast in an angle
iron frame of angle size 40x40x5mm. The price shall include the supply of steel for
reinforcement angle iron for the frame work fabrication of angle iron frame etc. The
price shall include positioning and dressing up of the trench covers, if required. The
price shall include the cost of cement also. The Railways shall not supply Steel,
Cement & water.
Note: Above Foundation and cable tyrench shall be cast as per

M-20 standard & IS-456.
ITEM NO. 2(d) BRICK WORK
i). BRICK WORK FOR OIL SUMP PIT, and other works.
The price shall cover excavation and construction of brickwork laid in cement mortar
1:3 mix for the oil sump pit. The price shall include the cost of cement and steel
also. The Railways shall not supply cement.
ii) PLASTERING OF BRICK WORK:
The price shall cover supply and handling of all materials, scaffolding arrangements,
raking out joints, curing and finishing of plaster (12 mm thickness with cement
mortar 1:4 mix.) on the Baffle wall. The price shall also include dismantling of alI
connected temporary arrangements and removal of Excess earth soil. The price shall
include the cost of cement also.
Notes for item 2
1) The prices under item 2 shall be same for any shape or size of concrete
blocks, cable trenches & brick wall fraction of cubic metre beyond the third
decimal shall be rounded off to the nearest third decimal.
2) The prices under item 2 (a), (b) & (c) (i) shall apply for concreting of all
pedestals, plinths and foundations for gantries/portals and supporting steel
work and cable trenches.
3) For purpose of computation of volume of concrete and brick wall under item
2, the volume of steelwork embedded in the foundation block or muff shall
be ignored.
4) Cost of all concrete will be paid for only under item 2 and the prices of other
items, except item 34 (a) (Earth Electrode) shall not include cost of concrete.
5) The volume of each muff will be included in the volume of concrete for the
respective foundation for purposes of computation of volume of concrete.
6) The price shall include cost of embedment of drainpipes, conduits for cable
or earthing flats wherever necessary.
7) In respect of concrete for cable trenches the price shall not include for the
cost of cable supports and trays, which shall be supplied and erected by the
Contractor and shall be paid for under item 3 separately.

8) Dowel bars in special foundations and nominal reinforcement in black
cotton soil will be necessary. Such nominally reinforced foundations in
black cotton soil will be payable under item 2 (b) and not under item 2 (c) (i).
The steel for nominal reinforcement and dowel bars will be supplied by the
Contractor and the concrete mixture in such a case shall be as for normal
foundations 1:3:6 (See Para. 2.2.4) Diesel engine driven concrete mixing
machine must be used for preparation of concrete mixture.
9) At each Traction substation one number Oil soak pit for main transformers
and one drain water sump for the cable trenches will be provided by the
contractor. Payment for this work will be made under item 2 (d).
10) The foundation for the main traction transformer shall include provision of
a suitable apron under the transformer and construction of suitable drain
connecting the apron to the oil sump.
ITEM No. 3 - Supply, fabrication, galvanization and erection of steel

gantries/ portals, supporting strs. and small parts steel work.
The price shall cover supply, fabrication, galvanization and erection of steel
gantries/portals, supporting structures and small parts steelwork required in the
traction substation. The price shall include alignment setting and grouting of steel
work and supply of all necessary galvanized steel bolts, nuts, lock-nuts, washers etc.
wherever required as per approved designs and drawings and assembly of the
fabricated steel work at the site to the extent necessary. The calculated weight to be
considered for payment under this item shall be included in relevant drawings at the
time of submitting designs for approval of Purchaser.
Notes for item 3:
1).The Contractor will supply all gantries/portals and supporting steel structures
and small parts steelwork . The term "Small parts steel work" is meant to cover
fabricated steel work made from rolled steel sections such as cross beams, base
plates, backing angles, knee brackets etc. including bolts, nuts, lock-nuts and
washer etc. for fastening the small parts steel work to any structural member.
2). For purposes of payment, the weight of fabricated steelwork shall be calculated
according to the weight of black steel given in section books for the lengths of various
members, as shown in approved drawings. There will be no addition for increased
weight due to galvanizing or painting or reduction for holes or skew cuts. An
addition of 1% will, however, be made to the calculated weight to cover weight of
bolts, nuts, lock nuts etc. The weights of holding-down bolts, calculated on the basis
of standard weight tables shall be separately included in the payable weight of steel
under this item.
3). The steel-supporting frame of equipment supplied along with the equipments will
not be reckoned for purposes of payment under this item unless specifically
indicated. None of the other item unless specifically indicated. None of the other
items of the work shall include the cost of supply and erection of small parts
steelwork, which will invariably be paid for under item 3 as applicable.

ITEM No. 4 – Transportation, erection, testing and commissioning of 110KV/27kV,
40/56 MVA single phase traction Power Transformer with on load/off load tap changer
at Kanjurmarg TSS. ( 110KV/27KV, 40/56 MVA Transformer along with all
accessories will be supplied by Railway)
The price shall cover Transportation, erection, testing and commissioning of 110KV/27kV,
40/56 MVA single phase traction Power Transformer with on load/off load tap changer at
TSS. The price shall also cover the supply and erection of an enameled number plate. The
contractor shall make his own arrangement power supply required for testing purpose. All
necessary checks, tests and commissioning shall be arranged by the contractor.
The transformer complete with all accessories including oil as per RDSO/CORE specification
procured by the Railway from any of the approved manufacturer and different transformer
paret will be handed over to the successful contractor at store of Railway . The contractor
shall load and safely transport the equipment to the site where it is to be unloaded, installed,
store the same safely and protect till it is installed. Contractor shall take all necessary
precautions, avail insurance and also place an indemnity bond equivalent to the price of the
transformer and deposit the same with the Railways. This indemnity bond will remain valid till
such Time, other relevant documents/indemnity required as per the contract terms are fulfilled
The Contractor shall bring the transformer on to its correct position on the foundation and erect all the
accessories, check up the alignment and make connections of HV and LV terminals to the 110KV and
25 KV bus bars. The Contractor shall carry out oil filtration and pre-commissioning tests as approved
by the Purchaser and commission the transformer manufacturer or his commissioning Engineer at site to
the complete satisfaction of the Purchaser. All commissioning tests will be carried out as per IS/RDSO
standards in the presence of the Purchaser. All type rest certificates shall be produced if carried out
earlier or shall be conducted in the presence of the Purchaser. The expenses towards these shall be
included in the tender cost. The Contractor shall be held responsible to ensure that the work is carried
out to the highest standards, in accordance with relevant codes of practice and any special conditions/
guidelines/ requirements as laid down by the manufacturer of the transformer are properly compiled
with. Contractor shall notify the manufacturer regarding likely date of commissioning, one month in
advance, so that the manufacturer can depute his representative if so desired by him at his own cost, for
warranty obligation purposes. Notwithstanding availability of manufacturer's representative or
otherwise, it shall be contractor's responsibility to ensure that the equipment is commissioned as per laid
down procedure. However, in case of any extra cost being incurred in this regard, due to delay on the
part of the Contractor the same shall be recovered the contractor. The Contractor shall make his own
arrangements for oil filtration equipment as well as power supply required for the same. All necessary
tools, equipment, instruments required for carrying out necessary checks and tests and commission the
transformers shall be arranged by the Contractor.
ITEM No. 5 - Supply, Transportation, Erection, testing and commissioning of 132 kV double
pole SF-6 Gas/Vaccume Circuit Breaker with accessories:
The price shall cover supply, transportation, erection, testing & commissioning of 132 kV double pole
SF-6 Gas/Vacuum Circuit Breakers, complete with operating mechanism, all fittings and accessories
including terminal connectors. The price shall cover supply & transportation of SF-6 Gas/Vaccume
circuit breakers. He shall arrange grouting the supporting frame and Mechanism box on foundation
blocks and mounting of other accessories in their respective places. It shall also cover first gas filling,
testing and commissioning of the circuit breaker. The price shall also cover the supply and erection of
an enameled number plate. The contractor shall make his own arrangement for filling of the SF-6 gas
and power supply required for testing purpose. All necessary checks, tests and commissioning shall be
arranged by the contractor

ITEM No. 6 - Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 110KV, 1200-800-
400/5A current Transformer with accessories (4 Core Secondary):
The price shall cover supply & erection and connecting up of a 110KV Current
Transformer (1200-800-400/5A) complete with all fittings and accessories including
terminal connectors. It shall include mounting of the transformer in position and
supply and erection of an enameled number plate. Bus bar connectors provided with
jumper connections shall be paid under 33 of part-A. Price shall also include for
testing and commissioning of CT.
ITEM No. 7 - Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 110 KV Potential

Transformer with accessories:
The price shall cover supply & erection and connecting up of a 110kV/110V Potential
Transformer complete with all fittings and accessories including terminal connectors.
It shall also include mounting of the transformer in position and supply and erection
of the enameled number plate. Bus bar connectors provided with jumper
connections shall be paid under item 33. Price shall also include for testing and
commissioning of PT.
ITEM No. 8 - Supply, erection, testing & commissioning of 132 KV double pole
isolator (manually operated) with earthing heel with accessories. RDSO SPEC.
No. ET/PSI/122(3/89) WITH A&C SLIP 1 OR LATEST:
The price shall cover supply, erection and connecting up of a 132kV single-phase
double pole Isolator with manually operated mechanism (as per latest RDSO
specification) complete with mounting base and all accessories/ required for its
operation including on-off position switches on the operating device necessary to
indicate the status in control room and terminal connectors. The price shall include
supply and erection of an enameled number plate and padlock. The price shall
include mounting of the Isolator and the operating rod in position and their
alignment for smooth and trouble free operation. The prices shall also include the
cost of 132kV solid core post insulator and operating rod.
ITEM No. 9 - Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 132 kV (96kV) ,

10 KA lightning arrestor metal oxide gapless:
kV Arrester rated voltage, kV 360-198-120 for 400-220-132-100 kV , Nominal Discharge

current, kA 20–10–10 for 400–220–132-100 kV .
The price shall cover supply & erection and connecting up of a 132 kV system
Lightning arrestor with surge counters complete with all fittings and accessories
including terminal connector. It shall also include mounting of the Lightning
arrestor in position, supply and erection of enameled number plate each should have
its own earthing arrangement and the cost shall be included in this.
The price also cover supply & erection of lightening arrestor disconnector
suitable for above lightening arrestor.
ITEM No. 10 - Supply & erection of Zebra ACSR conductor for 110 kV string bus-
bar in switch yard & modification required in existing 110KV yard/tower and
earth/negative return:
The price shall cover supply and erection per metre length of 61/3.18 mm or as
required (ZEBRA ACSR) conductor to serve as bus bar or equipment to equipment/

bus bar connection in the traction sub-station, wherever required. The price shall
include stringing, shaping and connecting/clamping of the conductor to the
equipment terminals/bus bar supports as required in 110KV yard and 110KV
transmission tower.
Notes: For purpose of payment for items 10 fraction of a metre in the total length
used at a sub-station shall be rounded off to the nearest metre (0.5 m and below
being ignored).
For purpose of payment, the length of aluminium conductor strung as bus bar
between gantries shall be taken as horizontal distance between the inner faces of the
gantries. The total length used at a sub-station shall be rounded of to the nearest
metre (0.5 m and below being ignored).
ITEM No. 11 - 110KV system TEE to suit zebra 28.62 mm dia ACSR conductor on
both ways (ID-11040) or similar.:
The price shall cover supply and erection of a bus bar junction and connector of the
type specified from schedule item no. 33, including bolts, nuts, lock nuts, washers
etc. required at the junction of bus bars. The price shall also include supply &
erection of 'ALCU' strip if required to provide at the junction.
ITEM No. 12 - Rigid terminal connector suitable for 28.62 mm dia alu.conductor
to terminal of 110kV isolator and 25 kV PT type-II (ID-11120) or (ID-11200):
type specified from schedule item no. 33, including bolts, nuts, lock nuts, washers
etc. required at the junction of bus bars. The price shall also include supply &
erection of 'ALCU' strip if required to provide at the junction.
ITEM No. 13 - Supply & erection of 132 kV terminations with disc insulator &
adjustor:
The price shall cover supply and erection of all materials for the termination of a
single ACSR conductor (61/3.18 mm ZEBRA or as required) strung between
gantries/portals, including anchor fittings, single clevis assembly, adjuster, anchor
double straps, string of 20 Nos. (or as per requirement) of 280 mm (11"). Disc
Insulators strain clamps and arcing ring and other fittings to complete the assembly.
The assembly shall be of breaking strength of not less than 11500 kgf.
ITEM No. 14 - Supply & erection of 132kV terminations with disc insulator &
without adjustor:
The price shall cover supply and erection of all materials for the termination of a
single ACSR conductor (61/3.18 mm ZEBRA or as required) strung between
gantries/portals, including anchor fittings, single clevis assembly, anchor double
straps, string of 20 nos. (or as per requirement) of 280 mm (11"). Disc Insulators,
strain clamps and arcing ring and other fittings to complete the assembly. The
assembly shall be of breaking strength of not less than 11500 kgf.
ITEM No. 15 - Supply & erection of 132kV support insulator:
The price shall cover supply and erection of 132kV support insulators complete with
fixing bolts, nuts, and studs required for the new yard/modification to Existing 132
kV yard. It shall include supply of fixing bolts, nuts, lock nuts, washers and studs

etc. It shall also cover erection of all components required for the assembly including
post insulator. Bus bar/jumper clamps for clamping the bus bar shall be paid under
33 of part-A.
ITEM No. 16 - Supply, Transportation, erection, testing and commissioning of 25 kV

Single pole Vacuum Circuit Breaker capacity 2000 Amps. Or high current capacity LV
suitable for 40/56 MVA transformer current capacity with accessories.
The price shall cover Supply, Transportation, erection, testing and commissioning of
25 kV Single pole Vacuum Circuit Breaker capacity 2000 Amps. Or high current
capacity LV suitable for 40/56 MVA transformer current capacity with accessories
complete with operating mechanism, all fittings and accessories including terminal
connectors. The price shall cover grouting the supporting frame and mechanism box
on foundation block and mounting of other accessories in their respective places. It
shall also cover testing and commissioning of the circuit breaker. The price shall
also cover the supply and erection of an enamelled number plate. The Contractor
shall make his own arrangement for power supply required for testing purpose and
all necessary tools, equipments, instruments required for carrying out necessary
checks and tests and commissioning.
ITEM No. 17 - Supply, Transportation, erection, testing and commissioning of

25 kV Single pole Vacuum Circuit Breaker capacity 1600 Amps. with
accessories:
The price shall cover supply, transportation, erection, testing & commissioning of
25 KV Single pole Vacuum Circuit Breaker capacity 1600 Amps complete with
operating mechanism, all fittings and accessories including terminal connectors. The
price shall cover grouting the supporting frame and mechanism box on foundation

The price shall cover the supply, erection, testing , commissioning alignment and

specification) complete with mounting base, operating rod, operating mechanism and
all accessories required for its smooth and trouble free operation. The price shall
includes solid core Post Insulator etc., and also cover supply and erection of an
enameled number plate, and a pad lock for each Isolator including on-off position
switches on the operating device necessary to indicate the status in control room and
terminal connectors. Bus bar connector provided for making connection to Isolator
terminal connectors. Bus bar connector provided for making connection to isolator
terminal pad shall be paid under 33 of part-A.

which is included in Annexure-I. of part IV The price shall cover the provision of a
protective concrete box with removable cover as shown in the drawing (RDSO
drawing). The price shall include the testing of earth value and painting the
particulars on the box.& also on a board provided for this purpose in the TSS control
room.
Note : The price shall be inclusive of concrete box with cover for this team, which
shall not be included in Item 2

The price shall cover supply and installation per metre length of 75x 8 mm
Galvanised steel strip, buried at a depth of 60cm below ground level. The price shall
also cover connections of the steel strips to the earth electrodes to constitute the
main earth ring and to the earthed terminals of the 110KV/25kV Transformers etc.
as required. Galvanised steel strips can be welded properly for proper earth
continuity. The welded joints should be properly painted by 2 coats of betumine
paint to protect from corrosion.
ITEM No. 35 (b)(ii) - Earth lead 75 X 8 mm GI strip Laid exposed:
The Price shall cover supply and installation per metre length of 75x 8mm mild steel
strip, painted all around with two coats of painting to colour grass green shade –218
of IS:5 passing through cable trench or exposed above ground level. The price shall
cover the connections of the steel flats to the earth electrodes, to constitute the main
earth ring and to the earthed terminals of the various equipments as required.
The price shall cover supply and installation per metre length of 75 x8 mm
Galvanised steel strip, laid exposed. The price shall also cover connections of the
steel strips to the main earth ring and to the steel structures and metallic frame
work/terminals of various equipments, as required.
ITEM No. 35 (c)(i) - Earth lead 50 X 6 mm GI strip Laid in the ground:

of approx. length 13m rail pieces at a depth of 1 m to form part of earthing grid. The
buried rail shall also be connected by means of two separate and distinct
connections made with 75x8 mm GI flat to the traction rail or the impedance bond
provided in front of TSS for earthing. The purchaser shall supply the rail piece free of
cost.
ITEM No. 35 (e) - 8 SWG G.I. wire for earthing:
The price shall cover supply, shaping and erection of 8 SWG G.I. wire per metre used
for earthing of control panels, L.T. AC and DC Distribution Boards, battery chargers,

etc. at sub-station control rooms. The requirements of earthing the fencing upright
shall also be included and paid for under this item.
The price shall cover supply and installation per metre length of GI 8 SWG Wire as
earth lead for switches where the fault level is below 10 MVA and connecting to
earth busbar.
ITEM No. 35 (f) – 32/36/40mm dia MS rod for earth mat:

The price shall cover supply and installation per metre length of bare mild steel rod
of dia. 32/36/40mm to be buried at a depth of 60cm below the ground levels to form
the earthing grid & connected to earth electrodes. The price shall also cover jointing
of the M.S rods to form earthing grid and connection to M.S. flats for system
earthing.
Note : For purpose of payments for items 34 (b) and 34(c) fraction of a metre in the
total length of earth lead Of each type used at a sub-station shall be rounded off to
the nearest metre (0.5m and below being ignored).
ITEM No. 35 (g) - Supply and erection of earth screen wire of size 19/2.5mm.:
The price shall cover supply and stringing per metre length of 25 tonne quality
19/2.5mm (70Kg/mm) galvanized steel stranded wire. It shall include the supply and
erection of suitable terminations using strain clamps adjuster (on one side only) etc.
It shall also include connecting by means of suitable terminal spades, the end of the
earth screen wire to the main members of the columns of portals gantries across
which these wires are strung or to 50 x6 mm M.S. flat earth leads. For purposes of
payment the clear span between the structures on which earth wire is run shall be
adopted. The clear span will be rounded off to the nearest metre (0.5 and below
being ignored).
ITEM No. 36(a) - Supply and erection of fencing panel at Rly.TSS and FP:
The price shall include supply and erection of galvanized fencing panels as per
relevant drawing. The prices shall not include supply and erection of fencing
uprights, anti-climbing devices but shall include the cost of fasteners and the price
shall be for a metre length of the panels, measured in the plan view of the approved
drawings.
ITEM No. 36(b) - Supply and erection of fencing upright:
The price shall cover supply and erection of fabricated galvanized fencing uprights.
The price shall be on the basis of black weight of the steel section of the approved
drawing with no deduction for holes and skew cuts or no increase for weld materials.
The cost of foundation of uprights will be paid under item 2. Provision of the earth
connections connecting each upright with the main earth bus as per approved
drawing shall be paid under item 34.
ITEM No. 37 - Supply and erection of gates:
The price shall cover supply and erection of gates including locking device to
Drg.CORE/ALD/PS/01 Mod 'C'. The gates will be of galvanized material. The price
shall be per metre length of the gate as measured on the plan view of the appropriate
approved drawings. The price shall also include providing two bond connections
made of multi-stranded flexible steel equivalent to 6 SWG in the form of helical
spring for the purpose of continuity of earthing between the gate and the adjacent

fencing uprights as per the appropriate approved drawings. Both fixing ends shall be
provided with an 'eye' and properly crimped.
Note: All fasteners, bolts, nuts, lock nuts and washers etc. required for assembly
and fixing of steelwork shall be galvanized.
ITEM No. 38 - Supply and erection of anti climbing device at TSS & Feeding
arrangement:
The price shall cover supply and erection of a galvanized anti-climbing device
consisting of steel fixtures and galvanized barbed wire mounted on the fencing
panels as per approved drawings. The price shall be per metre length of the panel.
Note: The prices for item (a) to (d) shall also include supply of all necessary
galvanized steel bolts, Nuts, lock nuts and washers etc. required for assembly and
fixing of the steel work.
ITEM No. 39 - Supply and spreading of pebbles/ballast/gravel in the switch yard:
The price shall be per cu.m. and shall cover supply and spreading of uniformly
graded ballast of size 20/25mm, in the outdoor switch yard after completing all the
works and leveling the switch yard area, but before commissioning of the sub-
station. The gravel/ballast shall be of good quality and free from any dust and dirt.
Prior approval of ballast shall be taken from the purchaser for the gravel samples.
The gravel/ballast shall be spread out uniformly to a depth of 10 cm. Over the area
indicated by the purchaser's Engineer.
ITEM No. 40 - Design,supply, erection, testing and commissioning of Control Panel &
Relay panel suitable for double circuit, double Transformer, 110KV/25 KV, 40 MVA
/56MVA TSS and FP ( 25KV Feeder CB-12, 25kV Tr. CB-2 Nos, 25kV bus coupler CB-2,
4 Nos 132 KV CB & 1 No. 132 KV Bus coupler CB for 6 line section As per rly spec.
No.TI/SPC /PSI/PROTECT /4050 or latest for TSS.
The cost shall cover the supply and erection of C & R panel as per Specification No.
TI/SPC//PSI/PROTCT/4050 or latest. The price shall also cover the cost of supply
of Rubber mat 10mm thick, 1Mtr wide for the full length of panel, in front and back
of the panel.
Note :- The tenderer shall confirm in writing along with his bid that he will give the
maintenance support of the relays, C and R Panel supplied by them for a period of 5
(Five) years from the date of commissioning of the panel. He will supply maintenance
Manuals trouble shooting guide lines and assistance to the purchaser as and when
required during the maintenance period to attend the failures in the shortest time by
making trained men available.
The tender shall be required to be evaluated by the RDSO, for protection portion of
the technical specification based on SOGP particulars furnished by the tenderer as
indicated in RDSO Specn. No. TI/SPC/PSI/PROTCT/4050 or latest. Therefore the
tenderer must fill up annexure along with the bid.
All necessary test shall be carried out to the entire satisfaction of RDSO and
PURCHASER.

ITEM No. 41 - Supply & erection of 110 V,300AH Low Maintenance Lead Acid
(LMLA) batteries maintenance free:
The price shall cover supply & erection of a 110V, 300AH maintenance free lead acid
batteries complete with all accessories RDSO SP. No : ETI/PSI/156(7/94
)RDSO/SPEC/TL/0040-2003 (REV-0 OR LATEST), such as battery stand etc.
Accessories as mentioned in relevant specification and a tool board shall also be
supplied. The price for erection shall include single tier battery stand, installation,
connecting up, jumpering, charging and commissioning of the battery.
ITEM No. 42 - Supply & erection of Battery charger for 110 V,300 AH LMLA
Batteries:
The price shall cover supply and erection, connecting up and commissioning of
battery charger for charging 110V, 300 AH low maintenance lead Acid Battery. The
price for erection shall include grouting of the charger in position or mounting it on
the wall and connecting it to 240V single phase A.C. supply.
ITEM No. 43 - Supply & erection of 240V L.T. Distribution Board in the switch
yard for 10 KVA L.T supply Transformer:
The price shall cover supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 240V AC
distribution board as per Drg. No. FM/DC-AC/35 in the control room. It shall
include the grouting of the framework of the distribution board in position or
mounting it on the wall and necessary connections. The Distribution Board shall be
got approved from the purchaser.
ITEM No. 44 - Supply & erection of 110V D.C. Distribution Boards:

The price shall cover supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 110V DC
distribution boards as per drg. No. FM/DC-AC/36 or latest in the control room. The
price shall include the grouting of the framework of the distribution board in position
and necessary connections. The board shall be got approved from the purchaser.
ITEM No. 45 - Supply, fabrication, and erection of Steel chequered plate for
trench covers inside control room:
The price shall cover supply, fabrication and erection to suitably cover the cable
trenches inside the control room of MS chequered plate.
ITEM No. 46 - Design, supply, erection testing & commissioning of outgoing

feeder arrangement between the bipolar Isolator gantry & out going feeder
gantry with zebra/copper conductor as given below (conductor included in 10):
The feeder conductors to be run from a bipolar gantry to feeder gantry shall be,
ACSR zebra, single conductor per feeder, strung on 25 KV 9 tonne insulators
between the bipolar and feeder gantry and then connected at both ends. All items
including the bottom attachments for 9 tonne insulators, bolts, nuts etc. have to be
supplied erected and commissioned.
ITEM No. 46(i) - Supply, erection, testing & commissioning of 25 KV, 9 tonne

laying of RCC trunking with RCC cover in cable trench, cable marker etc. and
refilling of cable trench. The cable route drawing is to be prepared and got approved
from the railway.
The cable marker and RCC trunking with RCC cover shall be as per approved
drawing of Railway.
The Price also included making of out door end terminastion of cable. However
outdoor end tyermination of cable will be supplied by Railway.
Note: Required 66 KV, single core 400 sq mm copper conductor XLPE cable and its out
door end termination will be supplied by Railway, however transportation, loading and
unloading from Railqway depot to site will be done by contractor on his own cost.

The price shall include supply and erection of busbar junction and other connectors

A for connecting outgoing feeder bus bars to cross feeder and cross feeder to OHE.
The connectors will have to be got approved by the purchaser.
ITEM No. 50 - Indicating Board (Details as Annexure- A 1 :

2mm Acrylic/Perplex white sheet, with proper coloure showing 110kV and 25 kV and
background lighted with 4 Nos of tube-lights. Single line drawing shall be in an
Aluminium frame so that the Acrylic sheet is slidable so as to attend to tube light/
replacement easy.
3) Danger Boards for TSS to RDSO Drg.
4) Caution Boards to RDDO Drg. of size (300x300mm).
5) Earth plate reading board in 4mm thick Acrylic sheet of size 0.75 x 1.5m
painted black background & letters in white tabulated, - Sr no of pit, date of reading
taken, value & remarks.
6) First Aid Staff & nearest Doctor’s name. Board 350 x 500 mm Painted Board
as above on a Acrylic sheet of 4mm thick painted indicating Name of staff who are

The Price shall cover supply of all the items mentioned in Annexutre-F-1 . All tools
supplied by the contractor shall be of good make and of ISI quality & from reputed
suppliers. Tools to be supplied in separate tool boxes. The cost shall cover supply of
all the items mentioned in Annexure-F.

ITEM No. 56 - Internal wiring of the control room and yard lighting as per
Annexure - H-I:
The price shall cover electrification of control room and yard as per quantity and
schedule given in Annexure H I . The work involve provision of indoor and outdoor
type tube light fitting, ceiling fans, exhaust fans, halogen lamps etc. along with
associated cables, internal wirings and fittings. All the material used for wiring /
lighting work shall be CORE, RDSO, Railway approved make.
Item No.57 :Splicing & extension of OHE
Price shall cover per span basis splicing of terminated overhead equipments consisting of 323/242/129
sq.mm catenary wire and 193 sq.mm contact wire, extend the same to adjust the existing cross
over/turnout/overlaps/insulated/uninsulated overlaps as per 25KV AC standard. Price also include supply
and erection of materials for droppering, dropper clips for contact and catenary wire for extended and
modified portion of OHE. Price shall exclude the supply of catenary and contact wire which shall be

ITEM No.1: Designs and drawings for SP with Hardware & Software:
The price shall cover on an average basis for Three Nos. Sectioning & Paralleling
Post(SP), survey, investigation of soil bearing pressure and soil resistivity,
preparation of cross section drawings, preparation of general arrangement drawings,
detailed layout of equipments, bus bar connections and insulator arrangement,
layout of cable trenches in outdoor and inside the control room, layout of earthing
system and earth connections, layout of earth screen wire, design of supporting
structures for SP 25 kV equipments, detailed drawings for steel work and structural
support, suitable steel / concrete, pedestals, plinths and foundations for equipments
and structural supports and drawings / designs for equipments, components,
fittings, name plates and materials. The price shall include supply of requisite
number of copies of all drawings, including completion drawings to the purchaser,
as specified in Part-II Chapter- V in the form of RTF, blue prints in six copies of each

ITEM No. 2(a)(i) :M-20 Concrete For Foundation and Trench in hard soil:
2(a)(ii) : M-20 Concrete for Foundation and Trench in rock
The price shall cover excavation, supply and handling of all materials and
accessories, temporary arrangements for excavation in hard soil in rock for
concrete/masonry drains/walls, requiring use of chisel and hammer for item 2 (a)(i)
or requiring blasting for item 2 (a)(ii) , shoring and shuttering where necessary,
casting concrete including frame work, grouting gantry/portal columns and steel
supports and finishing the top of concrete foundation with required slope/muff. The
price shall include dismantling of all connected temporary arrangements, back filling
required and removal of soil. The price shall also cover the cost of diversion of
masonry/earth drain wherever necessary for casting of foundation. Price shall also
cover clearing the debris of earth from site and leveling of earth.

The Purchaser's Engineer shall certify where use of chisel and hammer or blasting
has been necessary. The contractor shall arrange for supply of explosives and all
tools and plants for blasting operations at his own cost. If half or more of the depth
or width of excavation is in hard soil/concrete/masonry drains/walls or in rock, the
entire foundations shall be paid for under item 2 (a) (i) or 2 (a) (ii) as the case may be.
If half of the depth or width of the excavation is in hard soil/concrete/masonry
drains/walls and the other half is in rock, the entire foundation shall be paid under
item 2 (a)(ii). The price shall include the cost of cement, water also. The Rlys shall not
supply steel , cement & water. The cement shall be of reputed companies &.water
shall be potable.
NOTE- For measurements for item 2 (a)(i) & (a)(ii).
1) The payable volume of the foundations under item 2 (a)(ii) shall be limited to
the designed one as shown in the drawings for which the hole has been blasted,
irrespective of the actual configuration assumed by the latter due to blasting.
2) The depth of excavation shall be measured from the formation level of the
SP/SSP to the maximum excavated point required for casting foundation.
ITEM No. 2(b) : M-20 Concrete for foundation and trench other than hard soil and rock:
The price shall include all work mentioned in item 2 (a) &(b) in all classes of soil,
including black cotton and loose soils, except hard soil & rock for concrete/
masonry/drains/walls . The price shall include the cost of cement also. The Rlys
shall not supply cement. The water used for concreting, curing shall be potable.
ITEM NO. 2(C)(i) REINFORCED CONCRETE FOR FOUNDATION & TRENCH,

BAFFLE WALL OR ANY OTHER WORKS
The price shall cover excavation and construction of reinforced columns and
brickwork laid in cement mortar 1:3 mix for the baffle wall. The price shall include
supply of steel for reinforcement and other materials. The price shall also include
bending/binding and laying of reinforcement, shoring, shuttering and scaffolding
arrangements, required for the construction of brick wall and its curing. The price
shall also include dismantling of all connected temporary arrangements, back filling
required and removal of Earth spoil. The price shall include the cost of cement and
steel also. The Railways shall not supply cement
ITEM NO. 2(C)(ii) CABLE TRENCH COVERS

The price shall cover casting of cable trench covers in reinforced concrete as per
drawing specified in Annexure-1 (A) The cable trench covers will be cast in an angle
iron frame of angle size 40x40x5mm. The price shall include the supply of steel for
reinforcement angle iron for the frame work fabrication of angle iron frame etc. The
price shall include positioning and dressing up of the trench covers, if required. The
price shall include the cost of cement also. The Railways shall not supply Steel,
Cement & water.
Note: Above Foundation and cable trench shall be cast as per

M-20 standard & IS-456.

ITEM NO. 2(d) BRICK WORK
i). BRICK WORK FOR OIL SUMP PIT, and other works.
The price shall cover excavation and construction of brickwork laid in cement mortar
1:3 mix for the oil sump pit. The price shall include the cost of cement and steel
also. The Railways shall not supply cement.
ii) PLASTERING OF BRICK WORK:
The price shall cover supply and handling of all materials, scaffolding arrangements,
raking out joints, curing and finishing of plaster (12 mm thickness with cement
mortar 1:4 mix.) on the Baffle wall. The price shall also include dismantling of alI
connected temporary arrangements and removal of Excess earth soil. The price shall
include the cost of cement also.
Notes for item 2
1) The prices under item 2 shall be same for any shape or size of concrete
blocks, cable trenches & brick wall fraction of cubic metre beyond the third
decimal shall be rounded off to the nearest third decimal.
2) The prices under item 2 (a), (b) & (c) (i) shall apply for concreting of all
pedestals, plinths and foundations for gantries/portals and supporting steel
work and cable trenches.
3) For purpose of computation of volume of concrete and brick wall under item 2,
the volume of steelwork embedded in the foundation block or muff shall be
ignored.
4) Cost of all concrete will be paid for only under item 2 and the prices of other
items, except item 34 (a) (Earth Electrode) shall not include cost of concrete.
5) The volume of each muff will be included in the volume of concrete for the
respective foundation for purposes of computation of volume of concrete.
6) The price shall include cost of embedment of drainpipes, conduits for cable or
earthing flats wherever necessary.
7) In respect of concrete for cable trenches the price shall not include for the cost
of cable supports and trays, which shall be supplied and erected by the
Contractor and shall be paid for under item 3 separately.
8) Dowel bars in special foundations and nominal reinforcement in black cotton

soil will be necessary. Such nominally reinforced foundations in black
cotton soil will be payable under item 2 (b) and not under item 2 (c) (i). The
steel for nominal reinforcement and dowel bars will be supplied by the
Contractor and the concrete mixture in such a case shall be as for normal
foundations 1:3:6 (See Para. 2.2.4) Diesel engine driven concrete mixing
machine must be used for preparation of concrete mixture.

ITEM No. 3 : Supply, fabrication, galvanization and erection of steel gantry, portal and
supporting Structure and small part steel work:
The price shall cover supply, fabrication, galvanisation and erection of steel
gantries/portals, OHE masts, supporting structures and small parts steelwork
required in the SP. The price shall include alignment setting and grouting of steel
work and supply of all necessary galvanised steel bolts, nuts, lock-nuts, washers etc.
wherever required as per approved designs and drawings and assembly of the
fabricated steel work at site to the extent necessary. The calculated weight to be
considered for payment under this item shall be included in relevant drawings at the
time of submitting designs for approval of Purchaser.
Notes for Item 3 :
1) The Contractor will supply all galvanised gantries/portals, OHE masts and
supporting steel structures and small parts steelwork. The term "Small parts steel
work" is meant to cover fabricated and galvanised steel work made from rolled steel
sections OF LESS THAN 3 METERS such as cross beams, base plates, backing
angles, knee brackets etc. including galvanised bolts, nuts, lock-nuts and washers
etc. for fastening the small parts steel work to any structural member.
2) For purposes of payment, the weight of fabricated galvanised steelwork shall

be calculated according to the weight of black steel given in section books for the
lengths of various members, as shown in approved drawings. There will be no
addition for increased weight due to galvanising or painting or reduction for holes or
skew cuts. An addition of 1% will, however, be made to the calculated weight to cover
weight of bolts, nuts, lock nuts and welded materials. The weights of holding-down
bolts, calculated on the basis of standard weight tables shall be separately included
n the payable weight of steel under this item.
3) The steel-supporting frame of equipment supplied along with the equipment’s

will not be reckoned for purposes of payment under this item unless specifically
indicated. None of the other items of the work shall include the cost of supply and
erection of small parts steelwork, which will invariably be paid for under item 3 as
applicable.
ITEM No. 4 : Supply, Transportation, erection, testing and commissioning of 25 kV

Single pole Vacuum Circuit Breaker capacity 1600 Amps.with accessories:
The price shall cover supply, transportation, loading, unloading, erection, testing and
commissioning of 25 kV Single pole Vacuum, Circuit Breaker, 1600 amps, complete
with operating mechanism, all fittings and accessories including terminal connectors.
The price shall cover grouting the supporting frame and mechanism box on
foundation block and mounting of other accessories in their respective places. It
shall also cover testing and commissioning of the circuit breaker. The price shall also
cover the supply and erection of an enameled number plate. The Contractor shall
make his own arrangement for power supply required for testing purpose. All
necessary tools, equipment’s, instruments required for carrying out necessary checks
, tests and commissioning shall be arranged by the Contractor.

Mechanism on an Isolator to permit working of an Isolator and Circuit Breaker in a
desired sequence. The price shall be extra individually for each Isolator and Circuit
Breaker ‘set’ .The interlocking shall be such that the isolators can be operated only
when the respective stream of circuit breaker is OFF. Isolators can be operated only
on NO LOAD condition. The Contractor shall design for interlocking scheme for the
whole SP/SSP as one full set.

The price shall cover the supply and erection of a 25 kV solid core post insulator to
support aluminium bus bars & commissioning. It shall include supply of fixing bolts,
nuts, lock nuts, washers and studs etc all galvanised. It shall also cover-erection of
all components required for the assembly including post insulator. Bus bar clamps.

The price shall cover supply and installation/laying per metre length of PVC 1100V
grade 2 core 4 sq.mm (copper conductor) cable as per RDSO specification from each
current transformer to the control and relay board, from 110V DC distribution board

17 ( a) - Earth electrode as per IS 3043 and RDSO specification for TSS and SP.
The price shall cover supply and erection of an earth electrode, a typical drawing of
which is included in Annexure-I. of part IV The price shall cover the provision of a
protective concrete box with removable cover as shown in the drawing (RDSO
drawing). . The price shall include the testing of earth value and painting the
particulars on the box.& also on a board provided for this purpose in the SP/SSP
control room.

The price shall cover supply and installation per metre length of 75x8mm mild steel

the main earth ring and to the earthed terminals of the auxiliary transformer etc. as
required. MS strips can be welded properly for proper earth continuity. The welded
joints should be properly painted by 2 coats of betumine paint to protect from
corrosion.
ITEM No. 17 b ii- Earth lead 75 X 8 mm GI strip Laid exposed:
The Price shall cover supply and installation per metre length of 75x 8mm
Galvanised steel strip, painted all around with two coats of painting to colour grass
green shade –218 of IS:5 passing through cable trench or exposed above ground
level. The price shall cover the connections of the steel flats to the earth electrodes, to
constitute the main earth ring and to the earthed terminals of the various

connections made with 75x8 mm Galvanised steel flat to the traction rail or the
impedance bond provided in front of TSS/SP/SSP for earthing. The purchaser shall
supply the rail piece free of cost.
ITEM No. 17d - 8 SWG G.I. wire for earthing:
The price shall cover supply, shaping and erection of 8 SWG G.I. wire per metre used
for earthing of control panels, L.T. AC and DC Distribution Boards, battery chargers,
etc. at sub-station control rooms. The requirements of earthing the fencing upright
shall also be included and paid for under this item.
The price shall cover supply and installation per metre length of GI 8 SWG Wire as
earth lead for switches where the fault level is below 10 MVA and connecting to earth
busbar.
ITEM No. 18.1 - Supply, Erection of Galvanized fencing panels:
The price shall include supply and erection of galvanised fencing panels as per
relevant drawing included in Annexure-1A. The prices shall not include supply and
erection of fencing uprights, anti-climbing devices but shall include the cost of
galvanised fasteners and the price shall be for a metre length of the panels,
measured in the plan view of the approved drawings.
ITEM No. 18.2 - Supply and erection of Galavanised fencing upright:
The price shall cover supply and erection of fabricated galvanized fencing uprights.
The price shall be on the basis of black weight of the steel section of the approved
drawing with no deduction for holes and skew cuts or no increase for weld materials.
The cost of foundation of uprights will be paid under item 2. Provision of the earth
connections connecting each upright with the main earth bus as per approved
drawing shall be paid under relevant item.

Item No. 18.3 :Supply and erection of gates. ( Size 1.5 Mtrs L x 3.5 Mtrs H)
The price shall cover supply and erection of fabricated galvanized gate of size 1.5

bolts, nuts, lock nuts and washers etc. required for assembly and fixing of the steel work
ITEM No. 19 - Supply & spreading of good quality ballast of 25 mm size in

SP/SSP yard:
The price shall be per cu.m. rate and shall cover supply and spreading of uniformly
graded ballast of size 20/25 mm, in the outdoor switch yard after completing all the
works and leveling the switch yard area, but before commissioning of the SP/SSP.
The ballast shall be of good quality and free from any dust and dirt. Prior approval of
ballast shall be taken from the Purchaser for the ballast samples. The ballast shall be
spread out uniformly to a depth of 10 cm. over the area indicated by the Purchaser's
Engineer.
ITEM No. 20 - Design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of Control

Panel & Relay panel suitable for SP for 6/8 track section (12/16 Nos. 25KV
Feeder CB & 1 No. 25kV bus coupler or as per site requirement) as per Rly spec.
No.TI/SPC /PSI/PROTECT/4050 or latest:
The price shall include Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of Control &
Relay panel suitable for SP for 6/8 track section (12/16 Nos. 25KV Feeder CB & 1
No. 25kV bus coupler or as per site requirement) as per Rly spec. No.TI/SPC
/PSI/PROTECT/4050 or latest. The cost also includes provision of rubber mat of
10mm thick, 1Mtr wide in front and back of the panel for full panel length.
Note :- The tenderer shall confirm in writing along with his bid that he will give the
maintenance support of the relays, Control and Relay Panel supplied by them for a
period of 5 (Five) years from the date of commissioning of the panel. He will supply
maintenance Manuals trouble shooting guide lines and assistance to the purchaser
as and when required during the maintenance period to attend the failures in the
shortest time by making trained men available.
The tender shall be required to be evaluated by the RDSO, for protection portion of
the technical specification based on SOGP particulars furnished by the tenderer as

indicated in RDSO Specn. No. TI/SPC/PSI/PROTCT/4050 or latest. Therefore the
tenderer must fill up annexure along with the bid.
All necessary test shall be carried out to the entire satisfaction of RDSO and

Item No. 21 : Supply, erection testing and commisioning of 110 V ,200 AH

LMLA batteries at SP. Along with its battery charger .
The price shall cover supply & erection of a 110V, 200AH maintenance free lead acid
batteries complete with all accessories RDSO SP. No : ETI/PSI/156(7/94)
RDSO/SPEC/TL/0040-2003 (REV-0 OR LATEST), such as battery stand etc.
Accessories as mentioned in relevant specification and a tool board shall also be
supplied. This cover with one Battery charger 110 V suitable for 200 AH Battery with
incming 170 V to 290 V single phase AC supply. The price for erection shall include
single tier battery stand, installation, connecting up, jumpering, charging and
commissioning of the battery.
The price shall also cover supply and erection, connecting up and commissioning of
battery charger for charging 110V, 200 AH low maintenance lead Acid Battery. The
price for erection shall include grouting of the charger in position or mounting it on
the wall and connecting it to 240V single phase A.C. supply, suitable for incming 170
V to 290 V single phase AC supply.
ITEM No. 22 : Supply, erection, testing & commissioning of 240 V AC supply distribution
board suitable for SP.
The price shall cover supply and erection of a 240V AC distribution board in the
Control Room. It shall include the grouting of the framework of the distribution
board in position or mounting it on the wall, necessary connections and
commissioning. The board shall have sufficient distribution points to cater for the
equipment’s in Control & Relay Room & also for all equipment’s in the SSP/ SP Yard.
It shall consists of minimum 50A DP SFUs 1 nos , 25A DP FUSE 4 Nos, 16 A DP
SFUs 4Nos with proper Cable terminations/ pot head glands ETC. It should have
necessary Volt & Ameter reading arrangement. The Distribution Board shall got
approved from the purchaser before procurement.
ITEM No. 23 : Supply, erection, testing & commissioning of 110 V DC supply distribution
board suitable for SP.
The price shall cover supply , erection, testing and commissioning of a 110V DC
distribution board in the control room. The board should have sufficient distribution
points to cater for all equipment’s in Control & Relay Room & also for all equipment’s
in the SSP/ SP Yard. The price shall include the grouting of the frame work of the
distribution board in position and necessary connections and commissioning. The
board shall be as per RDSO specification or The distribution board shall be got
approved by the purchaser before supply.
ITEM No. 24 - Supply, fabrication, and erection of Steel chequered plate for
trench covers inside control room:
The price shall cover supply, fabrication and erection to suitably cover the cable
trenches inside the control room of MS chequered plate.

ITEM No. 25 - Design, supply, erection testing & commissioning of outgoing
feeder arrangement between the bipolar Isolator gantry & out going feeder
gantry with zebra/copper conductor as given below (conductor included in 10):
The feeder conductors to be run from a bipolar gantry to feeder gantry shall be,
ACSR zebra, single conductor per feeder, strung on 25 KV 9 tonne insulators
between the bipolar and feeder gantry and then connected at both ends. All items
including the bottom attachments for 9 tonne insulators, bolts, nuts etc. have to be
supplied erected and commissioned.
ITEM No. 25 (i) - Supply, erection, testing & commissioning of 25 KV, 9 tonne
insulator with turn buckle double strap single clevis and fixing/termination
insulators at anchor post of cross feeder along with its accessories i.e. turn buckle,
double strap, single clevis and fixing arrangements end clamps for zebra
conductors/Cu conductor between bipolar gantry and outgoing feeder gantry.
ITEM No. 25 (ii) - Supply, erection, testing & commissioning of 25 KV, 9 tonne
insulator without turnbuckle double strap single clevis and fixing /termination
insulators at anchor post of cross feeder without turn buckle, along with its
accessories i.e. double strap, single clevis and fixing arrangements end clamps for

The price shall cover Transportation , erection, testing and commissioning of 150
sq.mm copper catenary wire for cross feeder on top gantry or running as feeder line
alongwith all necessary accessories.
Note: 150 sq mm coppwer feeder wire will be supplied by Railway, however

transportation, loading and unloading from Railqway depot to site will be done by
contractor on his own cost.
Item No. 25 iv : Transportation, laying, testing and commissioning of 66 KV, single core
400 sq mm copper conductor cable . ( Cable and 120 Nos termination will bew supplied
by Railway).
The price shall cover Transportation , laying , testing and commissioning of 66 KV,
single core 400 sq mm copper conductor XLPE cable in cable trench as per 1255. In
includes excavation of cable trench, supply of RCC trunnking with RCC cover ,

laying of RCC trunking with RCC cover in cable trench, cable marker etc. and
refilling of cable trench. The cable route drawing is to be prepared and got approved
from the railway.
The cable marker and RCC trunking with RCC cover shall be as per approved
drawing of Railway.

outdoor end tyermination of cable will be supplied by Railway.
Note: Required 66 KV, single core 400 sq mm copper conductor XLPE cable and its
120Nos out door end termination will be supplied by Railway, however transportation,

Jumper Wire from Cross Feeder to OHE:
The price shall cover cost of flexible jumper wire 160 Sq.mm. in length. The
jumpering of 150 sq mm cross feeder with OHE will be done with one 160 sq mm.
flexible jumper wire which will be connected with two PG clamps with 150 sq mm
feeder wire & then to main catenery with two PG clamp The same jumper wire will be
extended & connected to auxiliary wire with two PG clamp & then to contact wire
with two PG clamp. (The cost of different connectors will be paid in accordance to
item 27.i to 27. v and the flexible jumper wire ). (Including Tinning/Soldering of
open ends of jumper wires).

NOTE
1. Departmental trains can be arranged free of cost if required by the contractor and
available with railways at the locations where no proper road approach is available.
Contractor has to justify and satisfy the requirement of departmental train with sufficient
load to the purchaser. Loading, unloading of the materials transported by departmental
train will be done by the contractor at his cost.
2. Adequate lighting arrangements shall be arranged by the contractor at his cost
whenever the work has to be carried out in the night.
3. Custody and safety of the electrical equipments which are erected at site, but not
energized shall be on the contractor’s account.
4. Cost of replacement of broken insulators & other items on erection till PAC is
issued have to be borne by the contractor.
5. Transportation of released material if any from site of work to Rly store is to be
done by the contractor with their own conveyance and labour..
6. The Contractor shall be prepared to carry out the work during power block
availed any time of a day/night. He should make all arrangement for light, transport
,storing etc. at his own cost.
7. Contractor will make his own communication arrangement from site to control
room/ office of C.Rly for operating power blocks & also for conveying daily progress of
work.

8. All the foundation / cable trench shall be as per M-20 only.
9. All the insulators will be supplied porcelain type only.
10. All the materials shall be suppliued as per latest specification / drawing of RDSO.
