 Critically analyze against your project requirement as Sejahtera community centre for the
local community
 Also need to start with the macro issue, to ensure the building is keeping abreast with the
current situation and needs.
 Hope for this Monday’s presentation, all of the groups should have managed to gather
ample information to decide the suitable scheme for the site.

Focus on the following:

 Issue of the site context (social, cultural and economic issue relating to built

 Issue of the community
 History and culture of that area

Find out the following:

 Existing culture and tradition
 Existing activities regarding the community
 Existing community agencies (if any) (you can search in facebook, like Orang Gombak

 Demography of the area (age group, ethnic group, profession etc.)

Analyze and relate the issues with the existing culture and activities
Answer the following:
 What are the needs of the community?
 What are the programs and activities that the Sejahtera Community Center should focus
on?

Identify 3 suitable case studies and/or precedent studies for each small group.
Synthesize and formulate a preliminary SoA (not detail but should clearly indicate the
large-span component of the centre).
 Each Site should propose 1 preliminary SoA. So each smaller group has to compile their
findings and come up with 1 common SoA for each site.

Presentation Detail:
 Each small group will have 15 minutes to present with 10 minutes of Q & A.
 Presentation Sequence: Site C > Site B > Site A
 Let’s say, 3 small groups from site 3 finished presenting their own findings. Then one
