ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON MATHEMATICS


S.Y. 2018-2019

I. INTRODUCTION

Mathematics has a number of very useful benefits to our mind if we go into its study.
It develops our reasoning, help us to have analytical thinking, quickens our mind and its use
can be applied in the day to day life.

II. OBJECTIVES

1. Help pupils understand and acquire basic mathematical concepts


and computational skills.
2. Develop pupils creativity and ability to think, communicate and
solve problems.
3. Participate in any contest related to mathematics.

III. ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN

In our school we see to it that pupils could have the interest and eagerness to learn
the different skills and concepts in mathematics. We utilized hands on activity and
manipulation of the learning materials to enhance their learning skills. We conducted
summative tests and periodical tests to assess their level of understanding. We also have
school level contest like written test and Math Games.

IV. HIGHLIGHTS OF ACCOMPLISHMENT

The increasing result of achievement/periodic test proved that the learning skills of
our pupils have developed. During district competition, our contestants won various events
contested like Math Quiz, MTAP Competition, and other math games.

V. PROBLEMS MET

The following were some of the problems encountered during the


implementation of the activities:
a. lack of support in making and utilizing the various
learning materials
b. some pupils did not participate the contest
c. other parents refused to enroll their child to MTAP Saturday Classes.
VI. RECOMMENDATIONS/SUGGESTIONS

In order to meet the targeted achievement level of each pupil there must be a
mutual cooperation between the learners and teachers. Using different techniques and
methods of teaching must be applied. Conduct review and coaching of the potential pupils
for the contest. Motivate parents to support their children to enroll MTAP Saturday classes.
