Jabez I’m right here! Did everyone get the message? You know? About the good news?
Aalya Kyrel is still not here. I’m not going to tell until everyone is here.
Kyrel I’m here! What’s going on and what’s all the noise about
Aalya Okay! Now everyone is here, I just want to say, Christmas is coming and we got a story to tell! I am so
excited because this year, I really get it.
Adriel Get what?
Aalya The story of Christmas! What Christmas is really all about! Who’s with me?
Adriel I’m in!

Aalya The real reason of Christmas is that Jesus was born. That’s the whole reason of celebrating.
Adriel Well, Christmas would not be Christmas without Jesus.
Kyrel In Isaiah 9:6, For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his
shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of
Peace.
Kyrel That was a passage in the Old Testament. It was a prophecy.
Jabez In the Old what? And what does Prophecy mean?
Adriel Prophecy means that was told and written down in the Bible many many years before it happened.
Kyrel They were telling the story before Jesus was born.
Aalya Today, we are going to tell you a story that happened a very long time ago. It is the Christmas Story,
the story of Jesus’ Birthday.

Narrator God always hear our cries and He had a plan. God sent His son into the world and the light began to
(Kyrel) shine. One day in the town of Nazareth, God sent Angel Gabriel to tell Mary that she was going to
have a baby.

Daniel Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to
give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.
Jewel I am the Lord’s servant. May it be to me as you have said.

Narrator: Then, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph, son of David in a dream and had commanded him to take
Mary home as his wife.

Soon, it was time for the baby to be born. Mary and Joseph had to go on a very long journey to a town called
Bethlehem.

Mary:  Joseph, I'm very tired, we need to find somewhere to stay. (sounds tired)
Joseph:  Ok, let’s go.
(At a Hotel, Joseph knocks on the door and a man opens the door)
Ali Yes, I’m coming. Hold on.
Joseph We have been traveling for a long time, do you have a room for us?
Ali I am very sorry, but there is no more room here. Try next door.
(Joseph and Mary walk over to the next inn, and knock at the door.
Karsten I am so sorry, if you are looking for a place to stay we are completely booked here. Try next door.

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She
wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Daniel Behold, I bring goods news of a great joy. For today, in the city of David there is born for you
a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign for you, you will find a baby
wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.
Ali Let’s go to Bethlehem and see what the Lord has told us about.
Jarett Praise God for this Good News! Come on it’s a long journey!

And so the shepherds, after hearing the angels, went to visit the Baby. When they had seen him, they spread the
word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherd
said to them.

When Jesus was born a brand new bright star appeared in sky. Some wise men in faraway countries saw the star
and knew what it meant.

CJ (Pointing to the star) Look, a star. Look how bright it is!
Jeromy (Looking at the star) It is the sign. The wonderful sign. The King of the Jews is born!
Lovince Let us go and worship Him. Gifts, we need gifts!
CJ I know what I can give Him. I will give Him gold, for He is Royalty.
Jeromy My gift will be special. It will be myrrh.
Lovince Frankincense will be my gift. Let us put them in special boxes, because He is our King.

The wise men followed the star towards Bethlehem. And so they found their King, by following the star.

When they arrived they bowed down, worshiped the King, and offered their gifts to him.
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will be with child and will give
birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” which means,… “God with us.”

Adriel This Bible story tells us about our wonderful God who made us and who wants us to know
Him.
Jabez God knows we have done bad things, which He calls sins.
Aalya The punishment of sin is death, but God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus to die on
the cross and be punished for our sins.
Kyrel If you believe in Jesus and ask Him to forgive your sins, He will do it! He will come and live in
you now, and you will live with Him forever.
