Diagnosis:

What information lead to your diagnosis? (use cell count and

patient’s information)

My patient is a cross-country player and she was unable to finish

her practice this year because of symptoms like shortness of
breath and exhaustion. Her CBC reports show that she has less
red blood cells and low hemoglobin. So, when a person does not
have enough healthy red blood cells, they have a condition
called anemia. This means that the blood has lower than normal
range of hemoglobin levels. Hemoglobin is the part of the red
blood cell that carries oxygen to all the cells in your body.
Moreover, the symptoms like shortness of breath and feeling
weak and exhausted are also very common symptoms of an
anemic person. So, she might have anemia.

Diagnosis:

What information lead to your diagnosis? (use cell count and patient’s
information)

My patient is middle aged and is complaining about itchy, watery

eyes, exhaustion, congestion, and body aches. According to his
CBC report, his white blood cells are high which can be cancerous
but because his platelets are low, it is not cancerous. Therefore, it
means the neutrophils are low. So I concluded that its probably
just an infection.

Diagnosis:

What information lead to your diagnosis? (use cell count and patient’s
information)
I am aware that my patient is a stay-at-home mom. While in this case,
she had fever, severely sore throat, and according to her CBC reports,
her white blood cells are high. So, she might bacterial or viral infection.
But then her neutrophils are also high so she might have bacterial
infection.
