software shall be selected.

portal to other components.

Control strategy simulation, on-line debugging and modification are also
integrated here.

 Graph Edit
Configuration flow charts, faceplates and other elements which display
on the OPS HMI.
Rich symbol library is supplied.

 Simulation
Start the simulated FCS/OPS/HIS on the PC.

The whole system could be simulated and verified on one PC.

Off-line Query
Offline query historical data tool.
Version Tool
View the current file name, version of software installed on the
computer, modified date, and path information.
HSRTS Tool
Update the controller firmware, controller is not necessary to be

(1) Title Bar
Title bar, at the top of the window, displaying software name (Project Center),
project name and its compile status, and current edited object name in order.
(2) Menu Bar
In the second row of the window is menu bar which lists the names of main menu
and drop-down menu. Menu is invalid when it shows gray.
(3) Tool Bar

Some functions in menu bar are listed as icons in tool bar, so users can click
them directly, but the icon is invalid when shows grey. Tool bar can be dragged to
anywhere of the window, and also can be shown as floating window.

(4) Project Tree Window

The project shows as tree structure, which makes the project management
simple and clear.
(5) Workspace
Operation for various nodes in configuration tree, corresponding content may be
configuration windows or database list.
(6) Info Window
Edit Info, Compile Info and Download Info of project.
(7) Status Bar
Status bar can show the tips for the icon in menu bar or tool bar, which is at the
bottom of the window.

 Project Tree Window

The project is managed as a tree structure.
Includes Area Setting, Public Information, OPS, FCS, Operation
Configuration, Advanced Computing, and Other Tools.

Area Setting
 Area definition
The whole plant is divided into several parts by different process units, and each
part is called an Area.
For example, a certain chemical plant can be divided into raw material storage
tank area, reaction area, distillation area and product area.
We could set authority for different area. Users have certain write or read
permissions for one area, while the other area cannot be operated or
monitored. Even in the same area, we could set different operation authority
for different users, monitor or operation.

Area Setting
Domain / Area
• Area setting has nothing to do with the domain. They two are entirely
different concepts. The domain is defined on the physical layer, while the
area is defined on the logic layer.
• A project is able to contain multiple domains to separate the network. One

domain failure will not influence others.
• A project belonged to one domain may be divided into multi areas. And
also, a project belonged to multi domains may be only one area.

 OPS User Configuration

Added Users list displays the user information already existed, for example:
Figure below shows an user’s information ADMIN in Engineer level.

Operation Configuration
 Process Graph
In Process Graph window, user not only can create or delete graph files, but
also can modify the graph file’s name in the list. Double-click the graph file
name in file list will navigate to Graph Edit software.

 Customized Function Key
Customized Function Key can define the graph to associate with the key on
dedicated keyboard. Press corresponding key the OPS will display associated
graph.

 Privilege Management
The functions for different online level users can be specified in Privilege
Management window.

Other Tools
Other tools contain Report Configuration and Report Print Configuration.

Report Configuration: Configuring the report in report tool.
Report Print Configuration: Configuring the report print task in Project
Center, including print cycle, time and so on.

project files under the directory of “.\ENG\USER\”.

Before importing I/O tag list, please pay attention to the related settings of
" Import I/O Tag List" in the " Configuration Options " .
Please do not operate Excel document when importing and exporting.

Cooperative Configuration
Cooperative configuration is for multi-users to configure the same
project on different computers (ENS).
• Up to 6 engineers can program at the same time
• Engineering efficiency is greatly increased

Graph Classification
Graph can be sorted according to the functions.
 General Page
Flowchart
The flowchart usually shows the process that needs to control or
supervise in a plant.
System graph
System graphs are generated automatically in Project Center,
including system state graph, IO device graph.

 Faceplate
system defined faceplate and customized faceplate.

 Template
When you create a graph upon a template, all the information of this
template will be added to the new graph automatically.

necessary to define a faceplate for them to promote configuration
efficiency.
Step1: Create a new faceplate

 Report Print Configuration

Using Excel or Calc to realize the report configuration. Take Excel

for example.

1> Add table head (static information), as shown in Figure :

2> Add the tag with relevant format.
Click Historical Tag, Real-time Tag and Time Tag in report
configuration tool bar. Time Tag and Historical Tag are usually
used in the report.

to open setting window. Click Select Tag button to select target
tag and item according to its type.

Step3: Check the Validity
Click Check Tag Name button in the dialog box Report

Select Report Print Configuration, click Add Report Print Task… button
to add the report print plan, and Add Report Print Plan Wizard window will
pop up.



Download and Start OPS, select menu item Request to Print Report
in general function of toolbar, and the report print page will display the
print task.

OPS Configuration
Please make the OPS online configuration before starting OPS.

Select Start -> All Programs -> HOLLiAS_MACS -> Other Tools
-> OPS Configuration

OPS Configuration
 General Configuration
Default Domain No. item is used to set initial login domain number of
OPS, the default value is 0.
Default Initial Page item is used to set initial login page of OPS, the
default page is main.
Dedicated Keyboard Port item is used to set connecting port of
dedicated keyboard, the default setting is COM1, and user can select it in
the drop-down option, which includes COM1, COM2, COM3 and COM4.
Run OPS at Startup item is used to set auto-start OPS after restarting
computer, the default status is unchecked.

OPS Configuration
 Alarm Display Mode

Single-domain or Multi-domain can be set in Alarm Display Mode item.
Alarm information is get from the default domain if Single-domain is
selected, and from domains you chosen in Select Alarm Domain box
when Multi-domain is selected.

(1) Select “Open Background Graph”

Press Basic System, the system will display all the information defined in
database. The basic systems are distinguished by the first five letters of the tag
name in database.

1> General Trend

Track mode: Display the latest historical data and track the current
value and status of I/O tags.
History mode: Display the trend curve values in an assigned
historical time range.
General trend can be displayed in curve mode or numeric mode.

Click in toolbar to display analog and digital trend, and the default mode
is curve mode.

2> Add to trend group
There are two methods for add tags to trend group:
(1) Right click one tag, select “Add to trend group”, then the
“Definition of Trend Group” graph will display.
(2) Click icon, shows the trend graph, in the bottom of the graph,
click “Add group” , the “Definition of Trend Group” graph will display.
