DISADVANTAGES OF SINGLE RATE METHOD OF ESTIMATION

1. Lack of precision-This is because there is a large deviation from the accurate value
2. It is not based on drawings or specifications
3. Difficult to adjust costs for specific projects, in different locations, with varying factors
such as shape, size, construction method, material, etc.
4. Not accurate enough for individual buildings
5. It does not give any information on what is included in the unit cost, this therefore makes
it difficult to use
