DATA PRESENTATION AND ANALYSIS

Since the research is mostly using a quantitative approach, there are multiple methods of analyzing
quantitative data collected using questionnaires. For the quantitative data analysis, the analysis of
variance (ANOVA), multivariate regression and correlation analysis will be used to compare the variables
that will emerge from the student’s questionnaires.

 An Analysis of Variance Test, or ANOVA, will be used when we want to compare the means of a
condition between the three groups, that is, the BCM, BQS and BRE.
 Multivariate regression analysis will help in understanding the strong relationship between
multiple independent variables and will also be used to deal with the statistical differences
between the variables.
 Correlation analysis will be used to evaluate the strength of relationship between two
quantitative variables within the statistical data.
 Descriptive statistics can be used to analyze continuous and categorical data which will be
presented in form of frequencies and percentages.
 The Chi-square test will also be used to determine associations between the dependent and
independent variables for categorical data.

This data will be analyzed using the computer package, Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS)
Version 26 and Excel spread sheets.

For data presentation, data will be presented in three different formats; Textual, Tabular and Graphical
formats.

 Text presentation
Text is the main method of conveying information as it is used to explain results and trends, and
provide contextual information. Here, data will be fundamentally presented in paragraphs or
sentences. Text can be used to provide interpretation or emphasize certain data. Text provides
narration and interpretation of the data presented. Hence simple data with few categories will
be better presented in text form.
 Table presentation
Tables are used for presenting data simply from masses of statistical data. Tabulation is the first
step before data is used for analysis. Tabulation can be in form of Simple Tables or Frequency
distribution table (i.e., data is split into convenient groups).
 Graph presentation
A variety of different graphical techniques will be used to visually show the reader the
relationship between different data sets and to emphasize the nature of a particular aspect of
the data. Graphs allow readers to understand the overall trend in data, and intuitively
understand the comparison results between two groups.
These will include the use of graph formats such as Bar graph and Histogram, Pie Charts and
Scatterplot.
