GUIDELINES:

1. The Academic Calendar provides for 15 to 18 weeks for all Programmes as per UGC norms vide
D.O.No.F.1-1/2014 (Secy) dated 12 November 2014.

2. For programmes regulated by Statutory Bodies requiring minimum number of 100 days teaching, classes
would happen on 6 working days in a week.

3. Students shall register on–line on Amizone for all NTCC (As per the AUUP Regulations/Guidelines of
NTCC).

4. Registration/Re-registration of students should be completed before the commencement of Semester and

ensure smooth conduct of same:
a. Respective Course faculty are required to complete requisite number of sessions as per the credit
units for each course.
b. The classes should be so planned that the syllabus of respective courses could be completed well
within time allotted in the calendar; making provision for all the scheduled activities, holidays,
events, breaks etc. Mid-way through the semester if any faculty ascertains that he/she needs extra
classes for completion of their course, they should plan extra classes with due intimation and
approval of competent authority. No extra classes would be accommodated towards the end of the
semester.
c. Completion of classes within the timeframe would allow reasonable preparatory holidays for
students, hence it is very important to adhere to the academic calendar.
d. Block dates for commencement of semesters and examination block dates will not be changed
under normal circumstances except with the approval of Vice Chancellor through Academics
office.
e. Institutions must ensure all assessment of Dissertation/Projects/Seminar etc. of even semesters
are completed either before the end semester examination or within 15 days of the last examination
of respective programme.
5. A single Amity Annual Youth Festival will be Organized in which the respective Institutions will conduct
the Technical sessions individually, but the Cultural events will be organized centrally.

6. Farewell party for student of final semester should be planned during the last 3 weeks of the academic
calendar.
7. Internships for students during Summer Break must be planned and finalized well in advance by the HoI.
8. University Alumni meet must be organized at least once during the Academic year.
