Bank had issued advertisement for recruitment of -2000- Clerical personnel- Project 2012 inviting applications for Clerical post from Indian citizens who are Graduates and who have taken the Common Written Examination for Clerical cadre conducted by IBPS in 2011, subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria which was published in Employment News dated 31.03.2012. Further to our aforesaid advertisement for recruitment of -2000- Clerical Personnel Project 2012, Bank has decided to relax the eligibility criteria in respect of educational qualifications (as against Graduation which was prescribed earlier) for this current recruitment exercise only as under :- EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in Matriculation/SSC (old pattern)/SSLC/ 10th std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EXSM candidates a pass in aggregate in Matriculation/SSC (old pattern)/SSLC/10th std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent. OR A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern)/11th Std. of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/Pre-University or any equivalent examination/ Diploma in Banking recognized by Central/ State Government of UT administration. In respect of Ex-servicemen, CWE scores have been reduced for some states, as given below. However, it may be noted that shortlisting of candidates in respect of Ex-servicemen and PWD candidates would be in the ratio of 1:5 depending upon the number of vacancies in the State/ UT applied for. We, therefore, issue a corrigendum to the said advertisement with relaxed eligibility criteria in respect of educational qualifications for all eligible applicants and relaxed CWE Score for all eligible PWD candidates and eligible Ex-servicemen in some states for the post of Clerical Personnel. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. (iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending in angle of 20 degrees or worse. Low vision means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive connection but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning of execution of a task with appropriate assistive device. Deaf & Hearing Impaired (HI) The deaf are those persons in whom the sense of hearing is non- functional for ordinary purposes of life i.e. total loss of hearing in both ears. They do not hear, understand sounds at all even with amplified speech. Hearing impairment means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies. Orthopedically Challenged (OC) Locomotor Disability means disability of bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy. Cerebral Palsy means a group of non-progressive conditions of person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period of development. All the cases of Orthopedically Challenged Persons would be covered under the category of Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy. C. 1. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals to fill up 752 vacant posts of Constable (Driver) in Delhi Police under the following categories in the pay scale of PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- and other allowances as admissible. Recruitment will be held at Delhi for which candidates from all parts of the country fulfilling eligibility conditions are eligible to apply:-

DEFINITION OF EXSERVICEMEN:- The definition of Ex-servicemen as defined in Govt, of India. Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training, New Delhi's O.M. No. 36034/ 5/85-Estt.(SCT) dated 14-4-1987 is given as under:- "An ex-serviceman" means a person, who has served in any rank whether as a Combatant or non-combatant in the regular Army, Navy or Air Force of the Indian Union and (i) who retired from such service after earning his pension; or (ii) whose discharge book has the endorsement of Ex-servicemen; or, (iii) who has been released from such servibe on medical grounds attributable to military service or circumstances beyond his control and awarded medical or other disability pension; or (iv) who has been released, otherwise than on his own request, from such service as a result of reduction in-establishment; or (v) who has been released from such service after completing the specific period of engagements, otherwise than at his own request or byway of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency, and has been given a gratuity; and includes personnel of the Territorial Army of the following categories, namely:a) Pension holders for continuous embodied servi ce; b) Persons with disability attributable to military service; and c) Gallantry award winners. The Territorial Army personnel will however be treated as Ex-servicemen w.e.f. 15-11 -86. Ex-Servicemen who are paid from the central revenues are eligible to be re-enlisted as Constables (Driver) at the discretion of the appointing authority if their discharge certificate shows previous service as Good or of higher classification provided that(a) they conform to the educational standards laid down for recruits from open market, and qualify such endurance/ efficiency tests as prescribed by the Commissioner of Police, from time to time by issuing necessary Standing Orders, (b) they are medically fit for police service according to standards prescribed for recruits, (c) age concession shall be allowed to them in accordance with the orders/ instructions on the subject issued by the Central Govt, from time to time. They will be permitted to deduct the period served in the armed forces from their actual age and the resultant age, so derived, should not exceed the prescribed age limit by more then three years. Ex-Servicemen who have already secured employment under Central Government in Group 'C & 'D' posts on regular basis after availing of the benefits of reservation given to Ex-Servicemen for their re-employment are NOT eligible for fee concession or for claiming benefits of reservation under Ex-Servicemer: category. However, they are eligible for the age relaxation only. The period of "Call up Service" of an ExServiceman in the Armed Forces shall also be treated as service rendered in the Armed Forces for purpose of age relaxation. For any serviceman of the three Armed Forces of the Union to be treated as Ex-Serviceman for the purpose of securing the benefits of reservation, he must have already acquired, at the relevant time of submitting his application tor the Post/Service, the status of Exserviceman and /or is in a position to establish his acquired entitlement by documentary evidence from the competent authority that he would complete specified term of engagement from the Armed Forces within the stipulated period of one year from the closing date of the application form. EXPLANATION: The persons serving in the Armed Forces of the Union, who on retirement from service, would come under the category of "Ex-serviceman" may be permitted to apply for reemployment one year before the completion of the specified terms of engagement and avail themselves of all concessions available to Ex-Servicemen but shall not be permitted to leave the uniform until they complete the specified term of engagement in the Armed Forces of Union. Decision of the Bank in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be undertaken, the documents to be produced for the purpose or the conduct of Group Discussion / Interview, selection and any other matter relating to recruitment will be final and binding on the candidate. No correspondence or personal enquiries shall be entertained by the Bank on this score. iii) All candidates will have to produce, if called for Group Discussion / Interview, originals as well as self attested photocopies of their educational certificates/marksheets, NOC from present employer, experience certificates (as applicable), caste certificate, certificate of handicap or any other certificate in support of their eligibility including original Score Card issued by the IBPS, failing which their candidature will be cancelled. iv) Mere admission to the Common Written Examination and / or passing the test conducted by IBPS and being invited by the Bank for the Group Discussion / Interview shall not imply that the Bank has been satisfied beyond doubt about the candidates eligibility. Candidates who do not satisfy the eligibility criteria and who do not produce the photocopies as well as the originals of all the documents required to be submitted and as advised in this notification as well as in the interview call letter, for any reason whatsoever, shall not be permitted to participate in the Group Discussion / Interview, selection process even though they may have obtained the desired level of score in the Common Written Examination (CWE) and have been called for Group Discussion / Interview. The Bank would be free to reject any application, at any stage of the recruitment process, if the candidate is found ineligible for the post for which he/ she has applied including use of ineligible SCRIBE in the written test. v) Candidates serving in Government/ Public Sector Undertakings (including Banks and Financial Institutions) are advised to obtain prior permission from their employer for applying for the post and to submit No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview, failing which their candidature will not be considered and travelling expenses, if any admissible, will not be reimbursed. vi) (a) Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming under Creamy Layer are not entitled to the benefits of OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as General while making On-Line registration. (b) Candidates belonging to and applying for a post under the Reserved SC/ST/OBC/OBC-MC Category are required to submit a photocopy of their caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority (mentioned hereinafter), at the time of GD/ Interview in the format prescribed by the Govt. of India otherwise they may not be allowed for GD/Interview/ considered for the selection process. The mere fact that the call letter has been issued to / downloaded by the candidate does not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by the Bank. The candidates identity including that of Scribe (in case of PWD candidates) will be verified with respect to his / her photograph/signature /other details on the Bio-Data against the identity provided at the time of On-Line registration for CWE as also while appearing for the written examination / other stages of the selection process. Candidates are, therefore, required to bring with them photo, signature and address proofs in original as well photocopies at the time of GD and / or Interview. The detailed Bio data of the scribe including the copy of the mark sheet(s) attested by the scribe, certificate etc. of the qualification last possessed by the Scribe are required to be produced at the time of interview for verification. If the details / identity of the candidate or of the scribe are in doubt, the candidate may not be allowed to appear for GD and / or Interview / considered for the selection process. viii)The candidates will have to appear for Group Discussion and/ or interview at their own expense and risk. RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT: (as specified in IBPS CWE Advertisement for recruitment of Specialist Officers). Category: i) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates. (iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending in angle of 20 degrees or worse. Low vision means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive connection but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning of execution of a task with appropriate assistive device. Deaf & Hearing Impaired (HI) The deaf are those persons in whom the sense of hearing is non- functional for ordinary purposes of life i.e. total loss of hearing in both ears. They do not hear, understand sounds at all even with amplified speech. Hearing impairment means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies. Orthopaedically Challenged (OC) Locomotor Disability means disability of bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy. Cerebral Palsy means a group of non-progressive conditions of person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period of development. All the cases of Orthopaedically Challenged Persons would be covered under the category of Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy. As the reservation for Persons with Disabilities is on horizontal basis, the selected candidates will be placed in the appropriate category (viz. SC/ST/ OBC/ GEN) to which they belong. c.
