Scenario 1:

Aurat March

A) We believe that in the feminism movement of Aurat March and the theme “Mera jism meri
marzi” the first missing aspect of EI is Inspirational leadership. It is a revolutionary movement
and to drive change, it is crucial for the participants to have a clear and direct vision of what they
want to achieve and how they are going to achieve it. A movement and slogan of such resonance
and magnitude should align emotionally with themselves and also the audience and public they
are targeting. Which is something not currently present in their movement.

One of the strategy we need to focus on people with lower emotional intelligence, as we can not
educate everyone right away so to deal with such people we must pick and choose our battles
and see the bigger picture even when talking to a person with lower emotional intelligence we
show humility and explain things to them on their level instead of calling them out on having
lower intelligence so they do no feel demeaned, So we have to show humility even if it’s fake.
We need to make the audience aware of the big picture and what’s important from the slogan as
it wasn’t clear to anyone and many people took it negatively, thus it is very important that we as
the organiser must take a positive outlook on the matter and make the audience aware of the true
meaning of the slogan. Organizational awareness was also missing as the real meaning of the
slogan should be portrayed and represented to everyone as its meaning was lacking due to
difference in thinking of people and emotional intelligence

If we were to organize this event we would focus on catering to all the public. We would focus
on taking feedback from them. To understand their perspective, and to analyze the problems that
they have with the slogan and the movement, it is important to spread awareness of the cause and
the true meaning behind the slogan either by one on one interaction with the people or by
seminars or social media campaigns. We would focus on aligning the spirit of the cause with that
of the vision to lead better and to bring a revolutionary change.

B) Analyzing the Aurat March conflict from the perspective of the persons who began to throw
stones and disrupted the event, we believe that they lack the empathy to understand the cause and
motive of those protesting. They lack the ability to turn self-focus into other focus. They are
neither able nor willing to understand the point of view and perspective of others. Secondly, they
lack emotional self-control. They get triggered easily and have no impulse control when
something goes against their believes and concepts. They lack adaptability. They are not able to
and neither are willing to adapt to a revolution. They are insecure and adamant to what they have
always believed in. Their major problem lies in conflict management. Throwing stones and
acting in such a harsh and brutal manner shows that they are not skilled in resolving conflicts and
dealing with opposition in a positive manner.
