Below are the questions that will be divided into class groups (already formed). Start working on the
in-class assignment that is to be submitted in the same session, followed by the in class presentation.

1. A) Analyze the Aurat March conflict from an emotional Intelligence Perspective. Let us assume
that one person or group of persons were in charge of organizing this events and chose the
theme of Mera Jism Mere Marzi. What aspect of EI were missing is this person or group? Justify
your answer. Would you have planned this event differently? Justify your answer.
B) Analyze the Aurat March conflict from the perspective of the persons who began to throw
stones and disrupt the event.
2. There is some criticism about media spreading more fear than required with regard to the
Corona Virus whereas others state that it is necessary to scare everyone as much as possible.
A) Can you describe the emotional intelligence perspective of the group that is criticizing the
media’s approach?
B) Can you describe the emotional intelligence perspective of the group that believes creating
fear is a necessary to make people cooperate with the lockdown directives?
3. Within your group one member can volunteer him/herself for the analysis. A) Let’s call this
volunteer super hero or super heroine. Other members list (without super hero’s knowledge of
your discussion) at least two of Super Hero’s weakness (according to their perception). Now
share this list with the Super Hero. Does Super Hero agree with all of these weaknesses? How
many of these weaknesses does super Hero does not agree with? Super Hero must ask the
group that what makes them think this way? The group or at least one member should describe
at least one incident (or possibly a series of incidents) that make them think this way. Can super
hero think from their perspective? Now if a super Hero has valid reason for behaving in such
way, then s(he) should share this too. What impact does this have on the group? How you
learned something from each other? How will this impact your interaction with each other in
future? Which EI development step have you taken in this exercise?
C) Repeat this with a second volunteer. Preferably chosen someone of opposite gender.
4. You have worked on many projects by now. Identify at least two examples of frustration with
group members’ lack of cooperation.
A) Choose at least one example in which you were not able to motivate this person to work as
per the expectations and
B) One example in which you were able to successfully change the person’s behavior and get
the best out of him/her. Analyze both examples from EI perspective. Substitute real names
from actual names
