Assessment: Why do you want to become a copywriter?

1. As far as I know, it generates good profit, when done right. I want to do it right, for me to make
a living to pay for my bills and to save for me to enroll in graduate school.
2. The whole journey may serve as an avenue for me to improve my communication skills.
3. In relation to number 2, good writing skills has an important role in becoming a mental health
professional which I am also interested and passionate about.
4. Eventually, I can combine my skills in copywriting and me being a mental health professional. I
will make it happen.

Things that might hinder, postpone or even stop you to pursue copywriting:

1. What I generally feel about writing. Most days, I feel motivated and thrilled by the idea of just
writing my thoughts. On some, I feel powerless. Just think about lifting my hands, grabbing the
pen and to start writing makes me even more demotivated. This is where technology is good at.
Making lives much easier, like right now. I’m typing at my computer. Translating my thoughts
into words, which then I transcribe onto this ingeniously put-up piece of hardware doesn’t really
me give any more reason why I should refrain from writing.
2. The involvement of reading. I occasionally enjoy a good piece of writing to read. Looking back, I
always tend to feel sleep and groggy whenever I try to read case studies, researches and case
histories back in college. But if its something that really sparked my interest, I’m at focus and
enthusiastic all throughout the reading process. Generally, I enjoy read materials whatever that
I am invested in with.
3. The process of learning. I can easily be discouraged. I tend to focus in every mistake which
makes me feel like its not worth it to continue anymore. But to think about it even more,
copywriting interests me. I’m not so sure how much it compels me to feed my curiosity, but I am
intrigued about it. I will just put the “Super Mario” effect here as a reminder to keep searching
for a mindset that will work for me to pull off learning copywriting.

Is there anything else to add? Type it away.
