In Oklahoma, Governor Kevin Stitt signed House Bill 1019 which caps the price of a

30-day supply of insulin to $30 and $90. Diabetes affects 450,000 Oklahomans, it is estimated

that about half of those are type one diabetics. The bill was carried by Senator Frank Simpson,

who became an advocate of diabetic Oklahomans after losing his granddaughter to

complications related to T1D. The price cap will go into effect November 1st. The copays are

dependent on the individual's health insurance. The bill will allow the Oklahoma Insurance

Commissioner to enforce the price cap.
