"Brain Dead: Season 3" is an annual skills competition designed to reorient nursing students to the

fundamentals and concepts of nursing. This competition will encourage students to expand their knowledge
while having fun, promote greater interest and appreciation of the courses in the different programs of
study; provide students with an opportunity to work in a team towards a common goal; and identify and
recognize students who exhibit exemplary performance in quiz competition. Furthermore, the spirit of
camaraderie and sportsmanship would also be enhanced.
The Season 3 of Brain Dead shall be participated by 5 teams (Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, Orange). Each
team must have three (3) participants – one (1) first year student, one (1) 2 nd year student and one (1) third
year student.
The game will be divided into three (3) rounds: Easy, Average, and Difficult. The Level 1 student will begin
the game in the Easy round. It will consist of ten questions, each of which will be worth one point. In
addition, the Level 2 student will play in the Average round. It will consist of seven questions, each of which
will be worth three points. Finally, in the Difficult round, the Level 3 student will take part in the game, which
will consist of five questions, each worth five points.
In case of a tie at the end of the quiz bee's final round, a tie breaker question worth 15 points will be given.
The first team to gain an advantage in score will be declared the victor of the tie. At the end of the game,
the team with the highest cumulative score shall be declared the Overall Winner. The next two highest
scoring teams will be declared First and Second Runner up, respectively.
Cheating is strictly forbidden. The remaining members will stay in the breakroom with a committee, while
the round game is on-going.
