Leader: I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise
People: I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your
faithfulness,
Leader: I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your
faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.
People: On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased.

Prayer of Confession Rev. Connie Happell

Merciful God, you pardon all who truly repent and turn to you. We humbly confess our sins and ask your
mercy. We have not loved you with a pure heart, nor have we loved our neighbors as ourselves. We have
not done justice, loved kindness, or walked humbly with you, our God. Have mercy on us, O God, in your
loving-kindness. In your great compassion, cleanse us from our sin. Do not cast us away from your presence,
or take your Holy Spirit from us. Restore to us the joy of your salvation and sustain us with your bountiful
Spirit. (Please continue in silent confession) Amen.
