Search the information on how noise can affect our hearing. (Noise level and Duration)
Noise above 70 dB over a prolonged period of time may start to damage your hearing. Loud
noise above 120 dB can cause immediate harm to your ears.
Rock drilling machine- 85 dB to 114 dB (duration of 8 hours for 85 dB and 30 minutes for 114 dB)
Excavator-95 dB to 105 dB (duration of 8 hours for 95 dB and 60 minutes for 105 dB)
Crusher machine- 81 dB to 102 dB (duration of 8 hours for 81 dB and 90 minutes for 102 dB)
Robust apron conveyors- 113 dBA to 119 dBA per 100 m (15 minutes of exposure)
Grinding mill- 94 dB to 119 dB (4 hours for 95 dB and 15 minutes for 119 dB)
The machines produce a noisy noise that can harm employees and others in the workplace, so
managers must have ear protection for workers, and each machine must have a noise canceling
system to reduce the loud noise, and workers must limit their shifts or time sensitivity to the
loud machines to prevent irreversible ear injury over a long period of time.
