II. Introduction

One of the most important steps in entering any University is by taking a

designed entrance examination in that specific institution. Professors spend
time on the processes of preparing and evaluating the exams. Furthermore,
transferring the scores of the exams to an information system or at least to any
kind of computing environment is another time-consuming process on its own.
Besides, all these actions include inaccuracy risks because of the humanitarian
error factors, for these actions are being done manually in the present paper-
based system that is currently use. In addition to the use of a traditional paper-
based system, students are required to go on-site to be able to take the
examination which is a burden for some who will be coming from different
neighboring provinces. In consideration of the current state of our nation with
the ongoing pandemic, a paper-based system of examination is highly
discouraging for some. For such reason, a web-based examination system that
will cater a more reliable in terms of the process and result, and minimize the
workforce needed in conducting Entrance Exams for the University.

IV. Importance of the study

In this proposal, a web base examination system will be design for the
College Admission Test of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University
Mid La Union Campus. The study aims to provide a reliable and resource saver,
user friendly electronic college admission test that helps ease the stress on unit
concern in preparing entrance exams. This also aims to open a new way of
conducting a 21st century admission test amidst the pandemics.

the college to determine the usability of the system before deployment.
