Term 2 Week 8 and 9 Due Date: Monday 21st June

Complete the tasks written in bold type. Choose at least two other tasks to complete. When you have completed a task, colour it
and ask your parents to sign the box. Record all your homework in your homework book. Remember to keep all your homework
neat and separate by using headings and ruling off.

Non-Fiction Text Oberthur Big 6 Reading

Choose a non-fiction text. It can be a book
that you have at home or an article on the
internet. As you are reading, write down
what surprises you, why that surprises you
and what that suggests. Also write down
anything that the author assumes you
know.

Non-Fictional Reading Physical Activity WA Day

I am reading at least two newspaper
articles a week. Cut out and stick one of
your favourite articles from this week’s
reading into your homework book. List the
non-fiction text features that are in the

We are getting ready for the Cross Country
at school at the moment. With your family,
go to the park and complete a running
circuit. Time how long it takes each member
of your family to run the circuit. Create a
table with the distance you ran (if you know
this) and how long it took each person. Who
ran it in the quickest time?

adult. The idea is to have fun
while getting some exercise at
the same time. This is different
from an afternoon’s sports
training session.
